Usually the seaweed salas has crn syrup in it - if you go to asian markets and find a label in enlgish you can almost always find a wacky ingredient. Another wierd one is aspratame in pickled ginger. And formaldehyde.

The only make-up I wear is Dr. Hauschka's liquid eyelines - and yes, I've had it come out of my nose - but god, I love a kohl-rimmed eye.

I live in Arizona, so cold showers are a summertime treat... after the first few minutes the water gets warm from the pipes that aren't directly under the houses, haha.

Too bad I work 40 hours a week and am a full time student. Staying in bed is not an option! But I'll stick to the light eating, like you said. Lots of filtered water, too.

9. Mucous
Day eight of my back-to-raw transition, and I'm hacking up the most evil amount of phlegm. I'm not eating very much fat - an avocado every couple days and no nuts or seeds. I'm trying to stay away from citrus because it's always been a nose-stuffer. I'm drinking an obscene amount of apple cider vinegar and, well, hardly eating anything. Today I had two apples and some raisins, and it is 10:00 pm

Any suggestions? It doesn't really dehydrate things without the air current, it just sort of dries whatever is on the top rack on the outside.

Ew. Stevia is NO GOOD. Well, it's good for supporting healthy blood pressure (and studies suggest it can maybe help lower high blood pressure), and good for teeth (and bone integrity, according to some.) but it does not taste delicious as dates, figs, juice, agave, or any other kind of raw sugar I've encountered.

I've heard that some China-town goji berries aren't 100% raw, and some have oil added. (like most dried cranberries.) But that might have just been one product.

You could take some probiotics! New Chapter has a "sensitive colon support" formula. Garden of Life has Primal Defense. The man who started that company cured himself of Crohn's.

I'm nineteen and I go to college. I decided to go raw again, after feeling crappy from stopping for about four months. I stayed vegan, but drank a lot of pasteurized juice and ate bready stuff. Anyway, it's been about four days, but yesterday in my Adobe Photoshop class I noticed it was a little harder for me to see the the projection on the front of the board. I have glasses already, but the fir

My parents sent me their old dehydrator, but I think it was damaged in the mail. The last time I tried to make flax crackers it took forever (24 hours) for the dough to even get a little brown, and it was never solid enough to flip easily. I pondered why it wasn't working, and realized the fan at the back wasn't running, so the dough was just getting heated slightly, and only the top of the ver

I just soak and sprout sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, then add some garlic, basil, dill (very important), dulse, and lemon. I've made it with sun dried tomatoes too, and that's pretty good. Just chuck it all into the food processor, and don't be afraid to go a little crazy with the lemon. It tastes sort of like tuna. The dill, dulse, and lemon kind of give it that sort of taste, You can al

Those were kale wraps with paté Raw, unpasteurized miso soup with squash noodles and hand maki with fake tuna, zucchini, and carrots. An assortment of raw foods including raw charoset, horseradish, matzoh, and gefilte fish. (And salad of course.)

The reason Whole Foods is called "Whole Paycheck" is because a woman in D.C. wrote an article on them and stated that she couldn't bring her husband shopping with her to Whole Foods because he would spend the whole paycheck. (Because there was so much wonderful food there.) Not because of the prices. just FYI.

I work at Wild Oats, and they kind of treat all of us employees poorly. We've been waiting months for the merger to go through (I'm at $7.25/hour, the Whole Foods starting pay is $10.00. Maybe I wouldn't be struggling with the cost of school all the darn time.) Why does it seem silly for Wal Mart to be complaining about a monopoly? hmmm.

Hmm... I've been vegan for three years, but only raw for three months... I'm really active, my bike being my only transportation, I ride it about 6-20 miles a day. I drink a lot of kombucha, and I don't really have any symtoms of B12 deficiency, but I guess it's too early to tell?

I've been getting those dizzy spells where I lose my vision for a couple seconds which most people experience due to low blood sugar, but I've been getting them very frequently (yesterday about seven times!) and even right after I've eaten. I eat a lot of fruit, mostly apples, oranges, squash, tomatoes, and watermelon. I pay close attention to food combining. I eat a salad or two a day, with lo

Hm. As much as I'd like to say mandatory veganism would be cool, it's still taking away human rights. (Even though it would be awesome for animals.) People have the right to abuse their bodies if they want to. Yeah, I don't see this happening anywhere anytime.

Recently? Two bottles of kombucha 'till I get hungry... which is anytime between 12:00 and 3:00, when I'll eat an apple or some carrots. Then watermelon 'prolly 4 or 5 hours after. Then a dry salad sometime at night.
