Bryan or David, Can we drink store bought distilled water & what do you think of Suncloud's suggestion for the easy water conditioner? I have 6 kids, so storebought distilled water would require a lot of hauling (we go through a lot of water). Thanks again for responding. Water is the final piece of this lifestyle I need to nail down. Elizabeth

As a long term raw foodist, I am considering adding a softwater loop to my new house. Please give me some feedback as to whether soft or hard water is healthier for the body. Hard water has the calcified minerals (that look terrible on a sink faucet but maybe is OK for the body?) and soft water has the salt which I do not use. I really would like to do the right thing here. Please give feedba

Cherry Blossom - what do you feed your raw cat? I have 2 cats that I would love for them to follow a raw lifestyle. Also, did they have any digestive problems when they first started. My cats are older (8 years) so they would likely detox at first if I put them on raw. Thx, Elizabeth

Spacy means that I will say the wrong word, or forget what I came into a room for. Weight bearing exercises means lifting & squating with 10 lbs weights on legs & arms.

Hello to all. I have been 60-80% raw for the last 2 years & 100% raw for the last 2 months. My now 50 year old body has always has very good muscle tone (ie little visible flab) thanks in part to daily yoga & aerobics. Since I have embarked on the 100% raw journey (mostly 100% fruit) I have become more spacy (ie I mix up words & and am more apt to lose my train of thought) & vi

As a raw foodist, which is better for us hard water or soft water? Currently finances limit me to tap water & I was curious as to whether to pay extra for soft water in the house I'm building. ie will the additional salt be bad? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Elizabeth

I have been graduating towards 100% raw for the last 2 years from a former SAD diet. During the 1st year I went vegan, eating all vegetables & cooked sweet potatoes. During the next 6 months I replaced the cooked sweet potatoes with berries, apples & honey. During the most recent 6 months I replaced the honey with high glycemic fruit such as watermelons, pineapple & dates and was

Nothing except water until noon; lots of water, close to 100 oz. 1/2 of a super sized watermelon about noon about 2-3 pm: collards, spinach, celery, dates & apples (as much as I want, which is a alot) evening 1/4 to 1/2 pineapple and a small amount of juiced greens no spices, condiments or supplements Note: I never get hungry in a traditional sense but do still sometimes experience cr

What are the pros & cons of adding mineral oil to the daily raw diet, as a source of fats? Nuts bother my intestines and avacados just don't taste that good. Would appreciate any and all responses. Elizabeth P.S. I have been raw for about 2 years

Thank you so much for responding. The information you shared was VERY helpful. I am weaning myself off of salt and debating weaning myself off of honey as well, as it gives me quite a sugar high in the quantities I use it. This past year, with the exception of a few popcorn binges, I have limited my foods to kale, collards, celery, turnip greens, green pepper, spinach, berries, honey & a

Is any sea salt needed on the raw foods way of life? I practice bikram yoga (in the heat) 6 days a week and sweat profusely. My diet consists of fruit and vegetables. What is everyone's take on raw honey? I find it satisfies my sweet tooth, but wonder if it is toxic for me?
