For sick people to become a raw vegan I think young coconuts are an excellent transitional food. When you are well you wont want to eat coconuts all the time, I agree. I know Doug graham excludes salt, spices, coconut, lemon but for very sick people I think you need to be more flexible. We have to kill the parasites!!!

This doc for some of his patients is advocating a low fat raw vegan diet. He says fat feeds the protoza. No added oils, you get it from the whole food and that includes coconut oil. Naturally I disagree with Doug Graham I think eating whole coconut, particularly young coconut is very advisable here. Superfoods exist!

apart from following a mostly raw diet I also eat 5 whole raw lemons daily, including the skin. I hope this will help alkalise me quicker? In France this is known as the Cure de Citron. Any thoughts? Do people here agree with people such as Robert O young who consider the lemon the most therapeutic of fruits?

Thirst perception not reliable Mike: I'd like to you talk about how people can know when they need to drink water, because you talk about in the book how some of the signs of dehydration, the classic signs are not necessarily the only signs, and also how much should an average person be drinking? Dr. B: First and foremost, don't wait until you get thirsty, because that's an error. Unfortunate

Gabriel's Water Recipe Given the pollution in the world, use distilled water. But distilled water by itself is aggressive and immature. To solve this you take a gallon of distilled water, add a pinch of salt or 12 drops of active ionic alkaline minerals, so that you get about 50 parts per million. This way you create H3O, the best water there is. With 50 parts per million, you don’t have the

You will see I bumped up the watercure discussion as I am now using the idea there of just adding quality salt to the water. This isnt mentioned in the watercure regime but I think its a good idea. I no longer add clay. Gabriel cousens claims that adding quality salt to pure water will alkalise it. Any thoughts? You mentioned that you drank a lot and felt tired,me too! But when I st

I thought I would bump up this thread as it was here I read that contrary to Dr B you should actually add the salt a third of a teaspoon of quality salt to a quart of water. I have started doing this and it feels right to me. As mentioned on the water thread I am following the advice of people like Robert O Young and drinking as much water as possible, rather than limiting myself to 2 quart

To Debbie I would say if you are in good health then your right but for people who are sick then you should hydrate your body with water in addition to your food intake. Having said that both David Wolfe, who I havent read, and gabriel cousens, I have read his book called Spiritual nutrition which has about 50 pages on the impOrtance of live water both drink plenty of pure water and say raw

Harvey diamond in his last book argues for a minimum of 2 litres of pure water in addition to a vegan diet. From the book: "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" AMAZING SECRETS FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS AMAZING SECRETS FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS Cure # 1: Water prevents and cures heartburn. Heartburn is a signal of water shortage in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract.

I have reading Robert o young from whose ideas this article is based. Some of his ideas i like others not. sickness is acidity with dehydration for him and I agree. see his entry at wikipedia for more info I come to the conclusion that the amount of water you need varies depending on how acidic you are. www.watercure.com fails to see this. The sicker you are the more pure water you need_

On page 69 of Doug Grahams book he uses a table from John Robbins www.healthyat100.org called Healthy at 100. supporting his low fat thesis what Grahams neglects to mention is that peoples like the Hunza all ate garlic and onions. I reprint the intro from his book which comes from the above website. A new book called Anticancer by David ..... which is getting rave reviews on Amazon uses mode

garlic is dose dependent. You need to take a lot of it to have an effect or a herx. This is from www.garlicworld.co.uk A Dozen Cloves of Garlic a Day Keeps the Doctor Away? The classic fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears showcases a bedrock principle of pharmacology. The beneficial effect of drugs often is dose-dependent. One dose is not enough. Another is too much. Yet another dose

I went to debbie's website and you seem to support eating herbs and spices which I agree with. Garlic in particular(which is dose dependent so it depends how much you take-minimun 3 raw cloves a day but it should really be more. I take 12.) which is pointed out in a book called the Garlic cure raises you body temp which I feel is a chronic problem with people with poor health. They feel co

Debbie I read your blog entry and thought it was very balanced. The only thing I would add is that my top foods are garlic, lemons and onions in that order along with herbs. The country with the longest longevity in Europe is crete and they eat a lot of garlic and lemons there as well as a lot of raw food in general. What raw foods they eat in crete should be taken on board by the raw
