True Shelton is a great resource on this but there a newer findings in this field. Weekly fasting has the benefit of introducing a discipline in limiting the amount of food we eat. If you fast weekly there is no need for long term fasting because your body is in a clean state

paulieGB It is probably the best change I made into my raw life. I know my eating days and family and friends know it. It is easier for me to fast when I am at work on Monday and Thursday, far from home and the fridge and fruit baskets. The Monday fast is a necessity following a three days eating. The reason I drink water on Monday is that I go to the gym that day. I am building more muscle on

Of course listening to your body is the key. Animals in the wild do not drink when they fast, they rest and reduce body functions sometimes for days. The body spends energy processing water. A dry fast is more powerful than a water fast.

The health benefit of a fast starts really 24 hours after the last meal. So fasting until the next morning a day or two a week is much better than dry fasting 12+ hours each day. Of course dry fasting 12+ hours each day is much better than not fasting at all.

If done correctly, this is a very good approach to staying very healthy. It should not be dismissed just because it is different from the way we eat. The key point is to make sure to get the optimal nutrients on the day you eat and let the body rest the next day. Intermittent fasting gives about the same result as calories restriction and is much easier to follow. You do not have to start your

What most of the research show is that the key point for a healthy and long life is not being 100 percent raw but the eating and resting pattern. It is more important to eat less, fast regularly than being 100 percent raw.

Physical appearance proves very little. Beyonce Knowles is beautiful, she was born that way, it is not a raw thing. The most important thing is how we feel in our body not how we look. Some got it naturally. I am more interested in reading about people who were overweight and work their way to a natural body shape.

We are already eating too much and too many varieties, so eating 30 bananas may be helpful only in that there is no room to eat anything else, which may be good, the body is resting in not eating all the other foods. We will be fine in spite of the many bananas or should we say because of them.

The fermentation does not always work. I would not use it Quote Rejuvelac. We used to call it rejuve-rot. It is not a Hippocrates invention, it is a traditional drink from the Baltic countries. We used it in the past because we thought it had lacto-bacteria. We paid for a study on rejuvelac; we naively thought the fermentation would always be good bacteria. The study found that this was not

raw corn Quote Corn is a good source of thiamin, providing about one-quarter (24.0%) of the daily value for this nutrient in a single cup. Thiamin is an integral participant in enzymatic reactions central to energy production and is also critical for brain cell/cognitive function. This is because thiamin is needed for the synthesis of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter essential for memory, w

The body spent a tremendous amount of energy to digest food raw or not. Yet the body does not need as much food. That is why some on a sober cooked food diet live longer . That is why fasting is so healing. The benefit of eating raw are wasted for those who eat all the time.
