What I don't understand is why they can't just give me the money. I EARNED IT! They say it's because it's pre-taxed dollars. I told them to tax it and give it to me, but they "can't." I don't see how that's legal.

I'm looking to start a website and thought of a name I would really like to use. I entered it to see if anyone else had it. I typed "www.nameiwanted.com" and the URL changed to "www.nameiwanted.co.uk" Does this mean I can't use "www.nameiwanted.com"? What's the surefire way of seeing if a domain name is available?

I made a decision. My decision is not to worry about this right now. I'm not comfortable making this kind of a decision on a rush basis, $1,000 or not. I even tried calling a local colonic therapist and she was very uninterested, too. What is it with people in Minneapolis and the extreme lack of courtesy or even basic customer service? I asked her about payment and she said, "I don't kn

I've had the Magic Bullet for about a week now, but I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I don't know if I will. All the reviews I read are 50% good, 50% bad. Same with the Tribesta. I've decided to stick with my regular blender for now and return the Magic Bullet. I'll look into blenders, etc., once I get moved and life slows down a bit for me.

I'm glad to hear it. Life with a little one, especially one as special as an autistic child, is busy enough without running ragged trying to make sure everything is 100% fresh squeezed! Although, I'm sure it will still taste like it is! You know, I think I'll try this too!

baltochef, I spent $2,000 on the Temperpedic mattress years ago and, while it was new, it was great! (Stinky, but great to sleep on.) But, in a few months, it sags like every other mattress and my back hurt even worse. The name of the mattress that I got from IKEA, la_veronique and baltochef, is called "Sultan Forestad." I absolutely love it and would never buy a mattress fro

Thank you for all the suggestions! The eye doctor, dentist and general physical things have all been done. I wish I could use it to go to a spa! Somehow I don't think they'll go for that! I'm trying to learn the difference between naturopaths and homeopaths, but I'm not having much success. Even Wikipedia isn't very clear on it to me. I'll just keep trying. I'd like to make a decisio

Those are the two that I found, too. Frank is the "Eeyore" I spoke about. He sounded completely depressed and uninterested in me. I felt like I was keeping him from, well, anything else! Marcia is the one I just finished speaking with. She was very kind and was interested in how the raw food lifestyle was affecting me so well. She explained that even though ayurvedic principl

I had an ayurvedic practitioner just call me back. She explained that ayurveda doesn't support raw foods because most people aren't built to handle it. She didn't say she was against it though. She told me about panchakarma, which is usually around $2,000. I "only" have $1,000 to spend, so so much for that. She also said that colon hydrotherapy isn't ayurvedic. I'm starting to

In order to have these expenses covered, the "doctor" has to fill out a Doctor's Statement Form for Healthcare Expense. Part of that form says: "The doctor's statement must indicate the specific medical disorder, the specific treatment needed, and how this treatment will alleviate the medical condition." The "doctor" has to have licensure or proper certificati

I should also ask, for those who don't use an Ayurvedic Practitioner, do you use holistic medicine practitioners, etc., I'm looking for a good alternative for when I don't need/want to see my general practitioner, MD. Your advice will be very appreciated!

I need a hard mattress. I searched for years for the right mattress and I finally found it - at IKEA of all places! Best night's sleep I've had in years and I talked all of my friends into buying the same mattress. They're all in heaven with it, too. If you need a firm mattress, go to IKEA. I'll post the exact name of the mattress later, when I look at it again. It was very cheap and has

I have a flex spending account with my insurance at work. I never used it and forgot about it. Now, I have $1000 to spend by Saturday! I called the insurance company to ask if I can use an alternative health physician, like an ayurvedic practitioner and they said that as long as they're licensed, I can! Great news! Now, what do I look for when I try to find one? I found one and called h

It's up to you. There's no one right way to eat, not even with raw. If you eat any dairy, you just won't be classified as a raw vegan. Dairy, from my research and opinion, is very mucus-causing so I'm staying away from it. Raw would have been good enough for me, but the education I received on this forum made me choose to be raw vegan. Whatever you decide, enjoy!

Excellent responses, maui_butterfly and David! Would drinking an aloe vera help her with her joints? I've always understand that to be the case. When a person finds themselves in a detox state, is there anything they can do to assist it along? Perhaps a colonic?

Thank you, pakd4fun. This forum is a huge support for me in my raw life. It really helps to be around like-minded people. I just wish I had some of that with the other areas of my life right now. All of my support systems seem to be online at the moment. I've gone through a few years of being a hermit and keeping to myself. I'm only now starting to come out of that and, surprise of all surp

Thank you cocoa_nibs. I feel a little foolish this morning, but still, that was me in that moment. I was exhausted yesterday. There are a lot of huge life changes going on in my life and it's a bit overwhelming right now. I'm squeamish enough when someone just describes something gross. Other people are fascinated by the inside of humans, but I'm just not. I figured if God wanted me to see w

I just found huge motivation to make this living raw food lifestyle work. I'm new to YouTube, as of this year. It's how I learned about living and raw foods. I'm not depressed, but I have a lot going on right now and I'm pretty much al

Raw foodist and athlete, Tim VanOrden, says in the following YouTube video that freezing is fine. He said sperm and eggs are frozen and later thawed to make babies, so freezing some juice shouldn't be a problem! (Makes sense to me!) Some will be against freezing and some are fine with it. Do what's best for you and fits into your life.

What are the documented benefits of dry fasting? When I used to go too long without water, I would start to break out. I would think dry fasting could be difficult on your internal organs. Obviously, I've never looked into it but it intrigues me, knowledge-wise.
