My girlfriend just told me I'm an idiot because I did not feel like discussing heparin with her. She's a nurse. The funny thing is she realizes antidepressants are mainly a scam, and she forces me to stay 100% raw even though she is convinced most of my information is wrong. Her reason may be so she can prove to herself that the raw diet is not working: If I don't show evidence of superpowers wit

Hi liddld23, Regarding how "natural" the consumption of meat is for humans, I won't even try to argue with you. The whole "big brain" theory is not necessarily wrong; Frankly I have no opinion on it, except I would tend to doubt cooking does much to enhance the quality of any kind of protein for nutritional purposes. It does kill lots of parasites, of course. Here's the

My personal point of view is different that most: If you feel sad because of a "chemical imbalance" in your brain, you can either try to artificially re-balance those chemicals by swallowing pills, or you can quit eating the substances that cause the imbalance in the first place and instead provide your brain with excellent nutrition. If your life is complicated and hard, you can

When I first went 100% raw, I went for over two months without noticing much of a difference, so I went back to eating cooked foods. That was the eye opener for me. I had not noticed the changes on 100% raw, but once I started eating cooked foods again, I felt sick and tired, and it was at that time that it occurred to me that I had felt sick and tired all my life, but considered it normal. Ha

My personal experience with this kind of situation has been rather different: I experience something like bread as a mind altering drug rather than a digestive "irritant"(?) When I spend a long time 100% raw and then eat a slice of pizza, for example, a few minutes after ingesting the pizza, I feel dizzy. Sometimes I even pass out for a few seconds. Eye witnesses tell me my eyes rol

This whole thing has me thinking about omega 3 fatty acids now. Specifically I want to find evidence that eating ALA is not only sufficient to keep you alive, but that your brain will thrive on it alone, as opposed to consuming DHA (and/or EPA). If I read this correctly, the DHA found in our brain may not have been eaten in the form of DHA at all! In other words, even if you consume huge am

rawrnr, since you asked: I'm right now thinking about animal products. I have never before felt so strongly about this. It's not that I consider animal products less ethical or less healthy than before, but simply this feeling that I really only enjoy fruits and seeds. Why would I force myself to eat anything else? Now that I think about it, for the first time in my life, that includes ri

You may want to check out what I just posted in the thread about fasting. The master cleanse has worked best for me if I don't take it too seriously (regarding exactly how much and when to drink), with the following exceptions: Do a salt water flush every morning; and don't eat/drink ANYTHING at all, except for water, lemonade, senna leaf tea, and the salt water. That means no "occasional

My opinion might be a little unusual, but here is what I have experienced: I have never exercised much, not at all really, but I do enjoy really long walks, so I guess that counts as some form of exercise. At age 25, I was on the SAD and weighed 143 pounds, the heaviest I had ever been. I'm 6'2 and male. I ate only fruit and seeds for a few months, which brought my weight down to about 135, t

If it weren't hopeless to try to argue with functionaries like these, I would e-mail them back, If pasteurized almonds do not differ in any significant way from untreated almonds, then why spend millions of dollars pasteurizing them in the first place? You are obviously destroying something significant if you subject the food to a process harsh enough to turn living bacteria into dysfunctional r
