Hi fellow allies and kindred spirits! Long time no see. Good to see so many AWAKENED souls here on rawfoods.com. Some will remember me, as that annoying person some considered a 'troll,' others a 'political hack.' I have abandoned all that crap and just want to connect with other humanitarians who have a desire to save humanity. <3 Tonight I saw a video that opened the floodgates of grief

Testing! --- Haven't been her in ages, and will my 'spam prevention' decoding work? :-) Friends, I am no longer a 'troll' or advocating any political party. Just want to connect with kindred spirits. (I was considered by some to be highly annoying some years ago, because of my crusading for certain ideologies. Now I am only into humanitarianism and saving lives. <3

Sorry, guys, I can't participate here anymore. The level of disconnect from reality, based on the need to perpetuate the idea that a high fruit diet with almost no protein or fat is optimal for human beings-- and ALL human beings, no less! -- is something I left behind a long time ago, knowing that it was unhealthy and impractical at best. All the best! -- I'm OUTTA HERE!!!!!! HAPPY THANKSGI

Addendum to what I said directly above: Vegetable-fruits, however, like red pepper and tomato, cucumber and zucchini ( (I think it's a veg-fruit, right?) are my favorites. Absolutely CRAVE them, and they are low glycemic. But they're nothing like the hybridized super-sweet fruits I now avoid: mangoes, pineapple, bananas, etc. Once in awhile I have a few berries (especially strawberries). I

Hi Fresh, Oh yes, it's very clear to me what the problem is. More than most people, I've always been insulin resistant, from age 8-1/2 onward, because I was given chemo for several months (2 shots, twice weekly -- my mom was a former RN so the eye dr. let her administer them). The heavy doses of cortisone and testosterone (yes, don't laugh... testosterone -- luckily I was pre-puberty and it di

Hello La Veronique!! THANK YOU! (How are you, friend?) Your response broke the spell and opened my mind -- you are RIGHT. I shouldn't be so reticent to share my experience here; there are plenty of kindred spirits hungry (ha! -- literally!) for truth, in whatever form it will appear. But based on my past experience and mistakes here, I wanted to be careful not to go too far afield and alienate

For me it really works. I just naturally seem to be able to digest plant fats and nuts really easily, whereas high carb foods, whether cooked or raw, and no matter how well combined (I'm been practicing proper food combining since I was about 28 years old) just seem to sit in my intestines and create fermentation and discomfort. I actually LOVE this diet. There are so many nuts, seeds, nut and se

There's a new thing shaking up the raw food community, and it's amazing: it's the raw vegan ketogenic diet. For some of us, it's the answer, the ideal, the thing we've been searching for. I have tons more energy and vitality eating this way than I had in my 25+ years as a high carb/lowfat raw vegan, I feel much better than I did on the low carb diet I tried for a few years, and after several mont

I still check in now and then. I don't want to argue with anyone -- been there, done that! I just enjoy seeing what people are talking about and what's 'trending,' and there's always something interesting to take note of. At this stage of my life's journey I'm just going to silently 'lurk,' learn, and then ultimately do whatever my intuition directs me to do.

So when you find out that you, in fact, have inflammation as a result of the RAW FOOD DIET... what is your conclusion.

Raw wheatgrass powder transformed my hair (which is of course a marker for even more important internal transformations). My hair had a lot of big, ugly white patches interspersed with the dark brown and gray. I started a course of raw wheatgrass powder + macca powder, and 6 months later the 'mess' on my head was so different: the white patches disappeared and my whole head was a dark charcoal

This forum has certainly devolved significantly in recent months What on earth does any of this slander/gossip/hate rhetoric/anti-Semitism have to do with .... ... A RAW FOOD DIET????? Amazing. But carry on, folks. You're burying your own movement with this kind of in-fighting and political/psychological extremism.

Fresh-- Sorry you feel that way about me. Perhaps I have not articulated my true feelings very well. I believe you are perhaps misunderstanding the place of deep compassion and concern that my words come from. And I wasn't being critical of 'I and Thou' whatsoever. I was responding much more to the person whose reply to him was mean-spirited. Okay--- I'm out of here. Will no doubt 'check in'

Hi friends, I stop by here every so often to see how things are going in this forum which I was a very active member of from the 1990s up until about 2005 or so (if memory serves me well)... and frankly, to determine if civility may have finally made a slight comeback on this board. I am shocked at how the forum discourse has devolved over in recent years. It's odd, and yet inevitable (same th

CC, With all due respect... I've known you a long time, and in the past I have followed you both on this forum as well as occasionally on your blogs. I know that when you were pregnant you went off the raw food diet and were upset with yourself for eating cooked food. And on your blog you bemoaned the fact that you were trying to get back to a raw diet, and you claimed to have gained weight. (Wh

Oh... Lois is back, lol! Deja vu. I refuse to get into it with you, lady, but I will give you a brief response: No, Lois, I don't have to apologize for anything. Obama was the better of 2 candidates, and our choices were pretty horrible -- it was him or John McCain. You, as I remember, were for John McCain (after you realized Ron Paul couldn't possibly win, because let's face it, the libertari

The libertarians and Tea Party zealots are the most deluded of all, because the philosophy they espouse is the property and dogma of their corporate puppet-masters, DISGUISED as a new and revolutionary 'truth.' If they only KNEW how profoundly they have been deluded! That is why I will never be passive and open-minded with regard to libertarian ideology. Because the fate of our country rel

I won't argue with zealots who engage in logical fallacies over and over again and never learn anything. Suffice it to say I can't stand Hillary or Obama. They are not true progressives and they do not represent the left. BERniE SANDERS 2016

John, Why so hostile and in everybody's face all the time? Do you realize you're driving people away from this forum with your extreme libertarian views and your constant accusations and diatribes against people? Relax, man! This used to be a nice forum, years ago. But it's devolved into a shark-tank and a snark-fest, and some of its most loyal members have had to leave in disgust.

Sergei is the one who is diabetic, right? I heard that he eats meat because he is diabetic. The diabetes probably has a lot to do with why he gets hungry on a raw vegan (high carb) diet, too. And not to beat the meat issue to death, but there is a huge difference in the health of people who eat an omnivorous diet including meat v. people who eat a low carb diet that contains meat. People who ea

I find it rather humorous, the way people who fanatically follow an unproven and clearly problematic nutrition paradigm (raw veganism) get so passionate about diverting their attention to Richard Blackman's breatharian beliefs and finding fault with them. CLASSIC.

In fact, the past decade has been found to be the hottest since scientists started recording reliable data in the 1880s. These rising temperatures are caused

THANK YOU, Prana and Sintro. I just found Dr. Shelton on YouTube and subscribed. Herbert Shelton's teachings have helped me to stay healthy and avoid having to resort to any medical interventions for the last nearly 40 years. I have friends who go to the doctor as many as 5 times a week. Thankful for the knowledge of a benevolent 'alternate reality' of health creation that doesn't involve che

I stand corrected re. Genesis's teeth -- I saw the photo of his missing 2 front teeth on another website yesterday. I was going to post that photo, and then I thought better of it. Regarding the veracity of so-called breatharianism (I prefer the Taoist term, 'bigu'), it looks to me, from years of reading about all of those who say they are doing it, that only a very tiny fraction of them unders

Re. the mention of fasting on water for 15 days, I did a 15 day water fast in 2008 (albeit while relaxing by the ocean on a camping trip, so I was in a nice natural setting, and I didn't have any obligations or major tasks that had to be done -- just making tea and preparing super-simple meals for Jonathan, walking and swimming)... and I have to say, it was one of THE MOST AMAZING experiences of
