Yes, he looks good. He looks about like my 41 year old stepson. I don't think he looks 20 though.

loislane-- I forgot to add that a couple years before she went into the hospital, she had a bout of herpes shingles which left a scar on her head and partially blinded her in one eye. Her doctor told her the virus will always be with her, and she seemed to feel it had left her defenses considerably compromised.

workout man-- Do you know where Dr. Morse's clinic is? I couldn't find an address on the website. Thanks! Vinny-- I'm with you!-- just imagine how much healthier people in the hospital would be. I've seen the hospital food my friend gets (when she is up to eating-- right now she's getting medical marijuana in order to keep the food down!)-- it's the usual bland, ill-combined faire, + milk or

(P.S. For clarification, because I don't think I made it clear at all, I just want to add that he did become totally blind about 10 years ago, after using a cane and having severe tunnel vision for about 20 years.)

>To say that a disease is genetic and can't be healed is how our modern medical community communicates its apologetics around being impotent around healing disease.< Bryan, I have to take issue with you a bit on this one. Please let me digress from the subject of CF for a moment, as I think this applies and is relevant. As the wife of a person with a truly devastating genetic disease

Thanks, fliiperjam. Your insights are appreciated. I know her boyfriend well enough that I get regular updates from him on her situation, but I don't know him well enough to really sit down with him and have a heart-to-heart about what I think might be best for her at this stage of the game. And it's totally up to him and her 2 sisters and daughters. I'm just sort of grasping at ways that I might

Hey folks, A good friend of mine has been in the hospital since last May with a host of mystifying ailments, starting with a gall bladder problem, but cascading into one horrific medical emergency after another-- pneumonia, heart failure, damaged liver, necrosis in her pancreas, and through it all, infection in her intestines so bad that they had to put two temporary colostomy bags on her-- and

I used to really dislike cilantro. Recently though, I've started to warm up to it, and I put it in salads and other vegetable combinations from time to time. Lately I've been buying it regularly to put in my carrot/apple/ginger juice, because I know it'll draw heavy metals out of my system.

I recently couldn't find any Vicco tooth powder (my favorite tooth care product) locally for several weeks, so I went to the co-op and bought some IPSAB Tooth Powder in the interim, which has baking soda, salt, prickly ash bark powder and peppermint in it. (It's an Edgar Cayce formula.) I really like it, but I'll make my own version of it in the future, because I suspect the salt in it is not sea

I hope not too! I never could find much validation for the theory that celibacy goes hand-in-hand with higher consciousness.

Hi faeterri, I remember reading in Herbert Shelton's books on fasting very specifically about the healing of prolapsed uterus with fasting + a high nutrient raw diet. I'd also recommend that there are certain inversion yoga exercises that are very helpful in returning the organs to their natural position.

Just saw Mixed Nuts for the first time last night on Comcast, for free, no less!, with Steve Martin, Adam Sandler and a host of other great actors. A really zany feel-good comedy that takes place in Venice Beach, CA. with a host of hilarious but sweet and lovable characters. I loved it.

I'm thankful that my local Star Market always has a discount bin where I can often buy speckled bananas and truly ripe, delicious cantaloupes and other fruits and vegetables at a huge savings... and they're ready to eat! I actually prefer the discount bananas and cantaloupes, because the full-price ones in the produce department are usually very unripe.

(from ) You can make a difference. Do something about it today! – By Mike Lucas I recently did some Christmas shopping at a mall here in San Diego. It’s a pretty nice upscale shopping center called Fashion Valley Mall. It was filled with tons of people. By the size of the crowd, one would never guess we were in the middle of a recession, but then again this was an upscale mall. Peo

I've got a lot of things to be grateful for this holiday season, (not the least of which is that I've just gotten over the flu, and I'm SO THANKFUL to be up and about again!!), but my biggest debt of gratitude has got to be for the joy of every so often being able to see that "'tis more blessed to give than to receive." I've learned that in having a giving heart, we don't 'give up' anyt

Lightform-- Oh listen, I was just over-reacting. You and I are perfect reflections of each other: I often do the same type of in-depth dissection of others' assertions. I too get 'carried away' and 'a bit intense sometimes.' :-) If you stopped posting here I'd be devastated because I also have enormous respect for you. <<<<HUG>>>>

You know, on second thought, Lightform, your response sort of makes me uncomfortable. You seem to have singled me out for a lot of critique on the board in recent months, and I'm not sure that I can make sense of why. Maybe my posts are genuinely bad and I need to be lectured, I don't know. But my gut level response is to just spend a whole lot less time on the rawfoods board and go where people

Point well taken, Lightform. I wasn't listening to everything he was saying; I was just grooving on the idea of give-give-giving! A lot of metaphysicans are kind of materialistic in their perspective, though, so I see what you mean. Giving and being generous with the idea in the back of your mind that 'this is going to make me rich and bring all kinds of abundance into my life' is beyond bogus.

I love it when people do that! I found this online a couple of days ago and it really inspired me; it's kind of exactly in the same vein: Spirit is Givingness, the Givingness of the Self to the Self, Self Completeness at each point, no point ever short of Complete Fulfillment of All, even for a nanosecond. Giving is Spirit Being. There never is a withholding; there is only Being, and Being n
