Buy a good quality knife from a store that specializes in pro cooking equipment, you would surely leave the store with very sharp knifes I think there is stores like that on the internet too. But I don't have any recommendation for which one though. Another tip is that you buy a knife that you can easily sharpen yourself.

I have a question, does anyone here know if it is ok to go raw with an overactive thyroid? I have been diagnosed with that, it isn't that severe. But still, I have a hard time gaining weight and may easily get problems with my stomach. It's like I have a nervous stomach very often. When I was only three days on raw, I lost like 6 pounds.
Now I wonder if I go on raw, maybe I have to be extra c

Thank you very much for your replies. I will take it slow, rest and eat normally. But I will include more raw now that I have sprouts and other goodies in my fridge
I think it must be that there is an infection going on like plainlydressed pointed out which makes the detoxing so severe. I've been bitten by an insect which caused borealis.

Should I be worried? Is this sorta normal when transitioning?
I also wonder if antibiotics may be the cause of this? My doctor put me o

I'm also new to this, just three days
And I'm very surprised by the side effects as well! I didn't think I would detox like this, I have been fasting once a year ago (just a few days), and these symptoms I'm having now feels very similar to that - minus the hunger off course. I'm having lots and lots of energy! And also I'm surprised of this tired feeling I get when it's time to go to bed, lik

40. Re: Beans
Eating beans and other sources high in protein would be a good idea, especially in the beginning. Otherwise one might go hungry all the time.
Sprouting is very easy actually, you don't need any other equipment than a big glass jar and some filter of some kind - like a piece of mosquito net.

Interesting thing that about lentils, I didn't know one could just soak them.
