marika as doug graham says....there are no "healing foods"....its the body that does the healing.... its about living a healthy lifestyle...you know...exercise...fresh air...raw food...enough sleep... as far as the food thing...maybe you could try eating high sugar fruits....since alcohol is mostly sugar anyway... best to you....you can heal....

Wow rawrrr...i really did not mean to offend you in my earlier post...and i don't think your a stupid idiot at all....i was not even going there.... if bananas don't work for you...they don't work for you....i get it.... i am sure other things will work better.... the only thing humerous about the banana mono eating thing is my energy, love for fruits and vegetables, and happiness....its a

rawrrr.... in my experience bananas that are not fully ripe will constipate me....even with the slightest part of green on them.....they do not work for me.... i will only eat them when they are completely freckled and beat up looking....then all is smooth with elimination...

rawrnr....yah, keeping fruit ripe and ready takes some practice....i go to the store often and buy bananas at different stages of ripeness so that it works out... its actually sort of fun....and i am getting pretty good at it...i did 11 days of bananas and water...the first few were tough...dealing with my caffeine addiction and some other stuff...then i was more that happy and content with my b

i did 11 days of mono banana eating...it was really great.... i really knew when i was hungry and when i was full....i did not really want or have any "other" food cravings....i felt light and bright...had great workouts... the whole thing was not bliss by any means...the first 4 days were really hard because i was coming off of my caffeine addiction...and some detox as well....

YES...i have noticed a big difference since food combining properly... just do your fruit first....then wait maybe half an hour....then do your salad with the fat.... its soooo much better that way....try it its because fruit digests so much faster than fat...so if you eat the fat first...the sugar will end up just sitting on the fat and begin to ferment...

bryan do you think raw tahini is a good/fresh source of fat....i like making dressings from it....mixed with oranges or other fruit...yet then i don't add the avocado in the salad....cause that would be way over 10%

thanks uma.... i am actually not sure what doug commonly recommends... it is my understanding that every consult is personalized and geared to whatever health concerns, fitness goals and/or questions that individual may have..... today is day 9....it has not all been easy....the first 4 days i had to deal with my caffeine addiction....not fun... although i know what is ahead and i am

maybe your not thriving and it has nothing to do with RAW.... i believe if you really want to thrive you will....by exercising....getting some sunshine...breathing fresh air....having loving relationships...and eating RAW... it seems odd to me that often times when people are not doing as well as they want to be....they sorta blame raw....there are so many other things to incorporate beyond

bryan i completely relate to your smoohtie post....i have not done green smoothies for 2 months.....yet i do them pretty much every morning....and my experiences are very similar to yours....i am hungry pretty quickly after a smoothie....i put about 5 bananas in there....whereas if i eat 2 wrapped in romaine leaves...i am full for much longer...and yes, buying the frozen berries gets expensive..

citrus fruit with fat....or non-sweet fruit with fat works...sweet fruit with fat is what seems to be NOT optimal for digestion... for example...putting almond butter on a banana could give you problems.... see what works for you.... one of my favorite dressings right now is...tahini, a cucumber, juice of a lemon, and cumin...i know, i know....spices are not optimal...but this combo is re
