Personally, I wouldn't accept that level of control from anyone. Your health is a result of your diet and your lifestyle, and perhaps you need to decide whether your health is more important to you versus making your husband happy.
But there are some things you can do. Sprouts are cheap and easy. Start a garden. Buy the overripe fruits and produce that are sold at a discount. Look around in yo

There are raw gourmet cheesecakes that taste like the real thing. They have a high fat content, something like 70% fat using cashews (or almonds) and coconut oil. Cafe Gratitude has a recipe book for their desserts, but you might be able to find some free recipes on GoneRaw or other websites (like Healthy Decadence).

Cutting out the animal products, frying with oil, and soy sauce will help. Eatings fresh fruits and salads will be an excellent replacement for those old foods. Also cutting out processed foods and processed fats is very useful.

Hi Delta,
Our forum is a vegan forum. Your posts are non-vegan in nature, and as such I need to delete them. However, if you would like to provide me with a vegan friendly version of your posts, I will replace your pro-animal products with a vegan friendly version.
A vegan friendly version is one that does not advocate the use of animal products.

The rice and chapati are a starch, or complex carbohydrates. On the raw food diet, its best to get carbohydrates as simple carbohydrates found in fresh sweet fruits. Raw starches are hard to digest and usually don't have much taste, so they need to be enhanced to taste good.
A bowl of rice is the equivalent to a pound (or half kilo) of bananas in terms of calories or carbohydrates.

If you were to take the sugar in fruits, and refine it like table sugar, then it would be just as unhealthy as table sugar. But if you eat whole fruits, the fiber in the fruit regulates the rate at which sugar enters the blood, and there is no sugar spike like eating a candy bar will do.
So no, whole fruit doesn't act in the unhealthful way that candy does. But it does provide nourishment and

When I was a child, we would take cinnamon oil and dip wooden toothpick in the oil to flavor the toothpicks. We had to be very careful chewing on these toothpicks because the oil could burn our mouths. So I am not surprised that cinnamon is toxic, it is certainly capable of causing pain!

I have the 14 cup cuisinart food processor. I bought it in 1984, and it is still working today. The cuisinart is expensive, but it is well built and will last a long time.

I agree with Swayze. Good habits do not negate the bad. Good foods do not negate the bad foods.
Eliminate the bad habits, the unhealthful foods, and then have as many servings of fresh fruits and vegetables needed to feel well fed, and one will see spectacular results.

All raw foods have protein. Gout is caused by too much protein, which you must realize because the high protein foods don't work for you. The proteins that are found in fresh fruits and salad vegetables contain enough protein for your body's needs assuming you eat enough of them to meet your energy or caloric needs.

You can get plenty of sodium by eating sodium rich vegetables like celery and tomatoes. It is not necessary to add table salt, sea salt, himalayan salt, or condiments that contain salt like miso, braggs, etc.

I've been 100% raw for nearly nine years now, and I have not been supplementing for over the last eight of those years. If people want to take supplements that fine, it's their money and their health and their body. But for me, I feel fine without supplements and for me they would be a waste of money.

I think the B12 in nutritional yeast is added as a supplement, rather than the yeast making the B12. B12 comes from bacteria, not yeast.
In any case, the glutamates are the toxic element, and they also what make the nutritional yeast make things taste better.

When I first heard Doug speak, I immediately went to 10% fat. I kept myself at 10% fat until after my detox. But what I found was I was not ready to eat low fat, and I was using a lot of control to keep myself there as the desire for fat was there. Also, before learning about low fat I was eating a raw restaurants every so often. But then when I went to low fat, I didn't. And I misse

Read about my detox experience in this post Re: How to end chronic fatigue. For me, I needed to just allow the detox to fully happen.
But going back and forth between clean raw foods and eating junky cooked foods is not going to really allow your body to detox. It may be that you need to slow down your transition right now, until you can get into a state where you don't desire the

RaeVynn,
I had a similar experience to your experience. I was eating SAD. but quit coffee. I then had massive fatigue, unable to digest foods, tired all the time and needing naps. Not surprising though, as I had overworked myself for decades, and became dependent on coffee to keep me going.
Going raw made the symptoms disappear. I was eating high fat gourmet raw. But I had dark rings under

I also find that when I fast, that is, live for a period of time on only water and sunlight, that I experience God. The fasting slows down my mind, and I find myself thinking less and getting quiet in my mind. But I can also attain this state without fasting, by meditations or yoga or simply allowing myself to be without though.
That being said, I think that the non-edible stuff is also God. W

Petra,
How is your raw food digesting for you? What works for me if I am going to eat nuts is to eat fruit in the morning and afternoon, and not eat any nuts or other fats until I am done with eating sweet fruits for the day. This way the food digests much better without any gas.
If you are going to cook vegetables, steaming is the healthiest way to cook them. The crisper the vegetables the
