Could it be that your fridge is not working the same way it used to, either because the thermostat has been changed or the fridge has become defective?

I would listen to what your body is saying. If my consciousness were disturbed, I would do whatever it takes to prevent that in the future. Reducing or eliminating the garlic or chilies will likely reduce the disturbance of consciousness. What I found in my process and experience was that initially I did fine with garlic and chillies and I enjoyed them. Over time, my body quit liking them, and

This is your body telling your that it no longer will tolerate spirulina. I would listen to the body and do what it asks.

Somewhere in the Middle East is a place where there are forests of apple trees. I saw in this a documentary called the Botany of Desire. But since these trees have all grown from seed, the apples are not sweet, but are starchy and more suitable for making cider rather than eating raw. But still, wouldn't it be wonderful to find a forest of fig tree?

When I was eating green smoothies, I was using bananas and berries plus greens. Over time, I lost the greens in my smoothies.

Whatever toxins exist in our environment or the environment where food grows, gets concentrated the higher up the food chain you go. So if plants pick up some cadmium or whatever heavy metal or toxin, the animal that eat those plants pick up the same toxins, and those toxins exist at a more concentrated level than in the original plants. So toxins contained in plants is not a reason to not eat

Dried fruit is OK for an occasional snack or a transitional food, but eaten all the time is not a great idea. Even if it is dehydrated at 110 degrees, which most fruit in the store is not, it still dehydrates your body, and sticks to your teeth, making your teeth more cavity (or carie) prone.

I think the fruitarian diet doesn't work for most people because of the nature of modern society, and it takes quite a mature and free individual who can break past the self limiting aspects of how people are socialized into being self destructive. Given the violent nature of our post industrial society, eating a diet of fruits only leaves the individual to feel the pain of our society in full

I suspect if you keep eating the cherries, at some point your body would adapt and they wouldn't have the same effect on you.

I like my smoothies without the maca and cacao. A typical smoothie for me might be 8 bananas and 8 strawberries, blended somewhat lumpy. Yum!

1579. Re: papaya
I love papaya, but I rarely go on papaya sprees in the US, as the good stuff is expensive and the cheap stuff tastes a bit funny. But when I am in the tropics, I buy and eat the stuff all the time!

One thing people here can do to support the bees is to quit buying commercial farmed foods and to buy organic.

This is another good reason to eat organic. In organic farms and orchards, the bees are thriving.

Not all deglets noors are heat treated. That they are on a branch is a good sign that they might be truly raw. Why not ask for the vendor's name, call them and ask? If they still have their pits, that's another good sign.

For the average person, the only weight they might lose is water weight and maybe a little fat. In that amount of time, there are enough nutrient stores that the digestion doesn't even shut down. But in your case, where you don't have these stores, and very little body fat, you may lose muscle mass. If you don't do any activity, stay in bed and have a quiet mind, you may not lose any muscle.

There are some problems with seaweed. I think its OK for occasional usage, but everyday might be an issue. The problem is that the oceans are quite polluted. And seaweed are filters for the ocean, absorbing the various heavy metals and toxins that can be found in ocean water. Also, there is the issue of all the salt that is normally found in seaweed. Its best if you can rinse off the salt from

Long before I went raw, and nearly 20 years ago, I had high blood pressure. Just removing salt out of my diet (and really not a true removal, but certainly I didn't add any explicit salt to my food) made my blood pressure go back to normal, and that still eating a SAD diet

Jodi, Welcome back to the raw world. It sound like you needed to get some lessons around eating cooked foods! The only thing I'd like to add is that you might start playing with more of the Buddhist's practices - specifically meditation, but I would also add yoga in there, to rekindle your connection with the divine and find the place of peace and bliss that is already inside you.

Eating too much of any food is not going to be healthy for anyone. But based on my personal experience, once the body has healed all the stuff that comes with the SAD diet, the body can tolerate as much sweet fruit as it can calorie wise as it could with any other food. Each person needs to find how much sweet fruit is too much. For me, I can eat a lot of it, especially if it is very sweet and
