Hi, shushine - I've heard that cavities can become reenameled and stop progression, also that they can completely refill, but I don't know from personal experience. Good luck with the dentist. An update: My abscess is now completely healed, took one month total. Two days ago, a piece of bone from my gum line was pushed out (with some help from me, opening a space in the gum) - it looked dar

Hi - Sprouting at home and doing micro greens is real cheap and so healthy. I sprout brocolli, clover, radish, and others, plus sunflower and green pea microgreens for pennies a serving. You can supplmement it with other veggies from the store. Legummes sprout well, too, although I don't eat them. genetic promise

Hi, Marika - Thanks for the update. I'm SO glad you're on the mend and i know how hard it is to trust oneself. As for internal damage...I don't know, of course, but I truly believe that raw, low sugar, low fat, lower stress, living foods, no salt, etc. will help heal ANYTHING. You're obviously strong enough to fight so mighty big problems. Good luck and do keep us informed! geneticprom

Ally - Why be eating nibs at all? Why not eat things that are more natural, easier to come by and don't cause problems? Listen to your body! GeneticPromise

Hi, Marika - Wanted to check in and see how you are. By the way, about my visit to the doctor for the dog bite. I went in order to document the incident, not for medical advice, which I got anyway. But I went for the documentation. I hope things are going well. Keep the faith. genetic promise

Yeppers, all! My periodental abscess is finally almost completely resolved, with much suffering headache, puss and other pain, but no antibiotics, no professional dental work done. Just plain on water, salt rinse, garlic, and toughing it out. Thanks for those who supported my faith in my body! genetic Promise

How are you feeling? I hope much better. I certainly want you to be okay, so doing what you need is good. But I don't like the idea of terrorizing each other into going for traditional medical treatment. The body is masterful at dealing with infection. My dental abscess ( discussed on this board lately) is healing, with support of time, all raw, some warm salty water rinse, massage, exerc

Hi, Marika - It sounds like you're getting strengthened by support and I'm happy for you on that. I've got but a minute right now, but want to say keep going for it! Yes, sprouts when you can. I don't know anything about healthforce - the only supplement I take is a bit of b12 for insurance, but I find that when I fast, my b12 level just naturally goes up....the brilliant body. You'll

Hi, Marika- Hello - I can understand why you're worried - not that you need to be, any more than I needed to be when I got a dental abscess and took the risk of letting it take its course. It's hard and it's scary, but worth it. Yes, things get funky when you start on raw. I've been raw for over 4 years and i remember getting bizarre scratch-like lines on my back from NO WHERE in the first

Hi, everyone - Thanks to all for your support. Just an update....I'm coming out the other side of this awful pain and infection. It's ten days and I just laid low, rinsed with warm water, nibbled on garlic clove a bit, got a little chopper and ate minsed food for a few days, cried, and trusted my raw food life to get me through. I'm still a bit in pain, but the thing is defintely draining

Hi, all - Thanks so much for replying. No I haven't yet tried homeopathy, although my MD suggested silicea yesterday. I might give that a go. All the other suggestions sound great, too. Natural antibiotic, rinsing. My mouth feels best when I have water in it..... Still lots of pain, going on four days, which scares me but I'm gtrying to trust my body. I've healed so much on raw

Hey, all, I've just identified a dental abscess with rsulting (enzyme-from-the-abscess) bone loss. The baack of my wisdom tooth on the bottom. The DMD tried to get me to take antibiotics, possible extrraction. I have had no other problem with teeth - in fact much healthier since going raw. He thought it was likely a little seed that got jammed in there and caused an abscess. Any ideas o

Hi, All! "GeneticPromise" name is a personal choice related to fulfillment of the promise I was born with before being brainwshed and physically hammered into insulting and damaging my body with cooked food, salt and other things we are told are good to put into ourselves. It's about reclaiming myself. What I eat every day...I won't list quantities because everyone has to find

Hello, Mallow - Wow...you certainly can eat a lot! If I ate that much I'd feel ill, too. Consider cutting back on everything and see how you feel. I follow the idea that one's stomach cpacity is about the size of about two cups, give or take. You're possilby very stretched out and therefore not very effective at digsting. Give you gut a chance.... Take care! GeneticPromise

Hi! Yeah, I don't eat any fruit...I feel sick, tired afterwards, bloated, gassy. I get what I need nutritionally from vegetables all types. Fruit, esp. modern cultivated fruit, is too sweet. Messes with our metabolism....I've been off it for months now (previously for one year) and much beter for it. I'm all for vwegatables - sprouts, etc. geneticpromise

Hello, Mona! Thanks for responding to my message! "How did you begin your raw journey?" I was sick some years ago and didn't want to take medication or have surgery for it. So I plunged into it quickly, with great faith that it would work, based on the sensible science of it. "How long have you been raw?" I've been raw for over four years =- 100%, um with a few mis

Hi, jayburd - Hmm...I wonder if you have something of erosion of the cornea? I had that before I went raw...it made my eyes feel very dry....the cornea sort of stuck to the lid first thing in the morning especially and ripped some off upon awakening....ouch. It's gone now. I've been 100% raw/living for many years now. I dont actually eat fruit, as I feel unwell when I do. I'ts been months

Hi, everyone! I've been raw/living for many years now, and am finally settling in to feeling better, strong, energetic....It's been a rough road, sometimes scary with detox, trying to find my way along without the help of medical people....sometimes with the purposeful underminding of medical people, family and friends..."friends". Friendships have changed...how strange...all becaus
