I know it's best to deal with the cause, but kava kava(powder), passion flower (tincture), valerian root (tincture) really worked very well to remove the flying anxiety for me . The most potent of them being kava kava in my experience. Also meditation and different breath control techniques.

Thanks everyone for your input! Really appreciate it. panchito - hmmm, interesting point about saliva and dry teeth. At night I often breath with my mouth, therefore my teeth could be dry for 8 hours each night... banana who - Thanks for reminding me about the oil pulling! I used to do it when I just started on raw, exactly like you described - in the morning on empty stomach. I will add this

banana who, thanks for your suggestions. I'll look into hydrogen peroxide and Peelu. I'm more curious though in why is it happening and how to prevent it. My conventional dentist has no clue. She just told me to stop taking whatever I'm taking I have no idea if my teeth are too porous or don't have enough enamel. They're not sensetive, and naturally very white and look good ( if I stop d

I use different types of greens - parsley, lettuce, kale, chard, dandilion, carrot and beet tops.. Panchito, I never used fluoride. I believe that it's toxic. I use natural tooth powder to brush my teeth, like this one I do eat variety of raw fruit and veggies, so I'm *hoping* I'm getting most of my nutrition. I only supplement with D3, B12 and MSM. I agree that pure white is not natural

I really love green smoothies! But they are causing some severe teeth staining. At my last cleaning my dentist was NOT happy It took her some time to remove all the stains. So now I'm very careful. After having a green smoothie I immediately wash my my mouth with waterpik, floss, and then brush with sonic toothbrush. I use straw when I drink them too! And yet, if I take them 3-4 days in a row, i

Oregano oil for external pain. Not only it relieves the pain quickly, it's a strong antibiotic too. I cured a nasty toothache/infection last fall just with Oregano oil

I can relate. There's a psychological effect any time you break a habit and do something completely different. Switching to raw, I had to renounce the foods I was used to eating all my life, and substitute it with different ones. I think the first 2-3 weeks I was like in ecstasy , the switch had such a dramatic effect on my brain. It was a tremendous change and the best thing I've done in my life

michellemm - Quinoa is actually considered a seed, it's not a grain. So it might work for you.

Michellemm, Did you try juicing? Freshly squeezed juices bring tons of nutritients and are absorbed by the body very quickly. I juice about 4 average sized carrots, 1/3 of average beet and 2 small apples every morning. I do feel a lot of difference in the way I feel and look. Juicing completely irradicated my PMS symptoms too. What about fruit? Bananas a cheap and full of nutrients. I persona

I actually need less sleep since going raw. I used to need 9-10 hours, now I'm down to 6-7. I wake up with no alarm, filling refreshed and full of energy. Awesome feeling! Since most of my life I used to wake feeling 100 years old LOL

I think Mike Adams recently done the investigation, and found that most of the chlorella comes from China with high levels of aluminum and arsenic. He tested chlorella from different sources, and now carrying the cleanest one from Taiwan ( I think) in his store

Dulse smells and tastes very good to me,as all the seaweed. And it tastes exactly like smoked fish , and I eat it straight up. While I'm vegan, and it's been years since I've eaten fish, I used to love it very much. In fact, I have to control myself not to eat the whole package of dulse, since it's loaded with iodine and it wouldn't be a good thing. But it's Yummmmmy! ( to me)

We have an organic store nearby with excellent recycling program, including compost. I bring everything there. Maybe there's something like that in your area? Composting is just so good for the environment, considering that there's a shortage of good quality dirt.

I would love to have access to spring or well water. But since I don't, I buy distilled (via reverse osmosis) water, and re-mineralize it with gray celtic salt. A big point when choosing what water to drink is to make sure it has no fluoride in it. Most of bottled water contains fluoride, tap water has it, most filters don't filter it out. That's why I chose to buy distilled.. A couple of filters

I periodically take zeolite or bentonite or diatomaceous earth ( food grade ). Zeolite is supposed to be the most benefecial. I order them on Amazon. Just do the search, and the most popular brands come up ( there are not too many). I just mix a table spoon of clay with a glass of water and drink it. I like the taste

I've been 95% raw for 1 year and 8 months The only cooked food I eat is quinoa. I have about 1 qt of green smoothie for breakfast, raw salad for lunch, and quinoa salad for dinner. I'd say 70% of what I eat is fruit, 10% greens, 10% veggies, nuts, and seeds. Absolutely love my diet, and wouldn't trade it for anything else.

I was raw for some time, and then I added quinoa. I boil it, and use it as a base for salads. It's a complete protein, and I love the taste. Make sure you rinse it very well before cooking, because it causes bloating otherwise.

I have a mini garden on the balcony. I do get the sun for maybe 5 hours a day. So I planted tomatoes, but being on the 2nd floor I did't get that many bees to pollinate the plants. So from 2 very robust big tomato plants I maybe got like 5-6 tomatoes this summer Greens are perfect though - kale, lavander, parsley, cilantro, and my all time favorite basil. Basil is my favorite, because it grows

For me it's very distressing to watch other people ruin their health. I have a co-worker who had cancer. And he also showed interest in my diet. I shared some movie links with him, including The Gerson Miracle, as well as some good articles. He was impressed, and bought himself a juicer And just as others above stated agrees with me on the correct diet. But continues drinking coke, eating coo

The basic ingredients in any hair vitamins would be silica, sulfer, biotin, copper. Lack of iron and protein can cause hair loss too. Horsetail and nettle leaf internally are also great. Topically, I find henna to be the best hair strenghtner ( there are color-less versions). Not a hair falls out after the treatment. Also burdock oil, castor oil, and rosemary work great for hair. I mix burdock a

I agree with John Rose and phantom. Came to the same conclusion recently, based on some things I was researching. Thankfully I'm OK on raw vegan for now. But we are all unique, many of us have genetic conditions. Some people don't make, or absorb certain nutrients. It's all good, nothing wrong in adjusting the diet accordingly, if that what helps. I'd never eat meat for nothing in the world, bu

I don't try to prove or explain anything to anyone, if I see they're stuck in their ways, and are just looking to argue. To those who are sincerely curious, I do explain. I live in a very diverse international area though, no one is surprised by vegans or vegetareans here. Certainly never met anyone who'd be agressive or violent about my food choices People normally are more interested in why I

Well, if it comes to the point that there's no food around, I don't think I will worry about staying raw It'll be about survival. I have some organic whole grain pasta stashed away, as well as some grains. I bought a wheeled cart, so I can go to the nearest river and get water, if there's none. I also take classes every now and then about the edible wild plants That's all I could think of in te

Thank you, powerlifter and Tamukha! I don't have any other symptoms - just lethargy and fatigue. I did have low iron and b12 on my tests last November. But back then I actually felt great. Ever since then I'm taking the supplements - Iron(Megafood brand), and sublingual b12 (Perque) every day. The fatigue and lethargy is for the last couple of months. I'm way overdue for my blood test. I was sup

Same here.:/ I'm not sure if it's greens though. It's over a year since I went raw. I felt great all this year. And for the last couple of months I'm just tired all the time, really lacking energy. I was holding out without tea or coffee all this time. And for the last couple of weeks i started drinking green tea and coffee occasionally just to keep myself moving. I thought maybe I had some par

So I decided to do a parasite cleanse, even though I'm not sure if I have them, but from what I read, most people do, and just don't know. I've been taking a combination of wormwood, clove, and black walnut herbs for 2 weeks. I felt tired and fatigued for the last week and in the past 2 days I started feeling dizzy, and today have kind of mild running nose, and an occasional cough. So I'm not
