I too am trying to rid myself of candida. But I'm finding it hard in a Minnesota winter to go all day without eating some seeds or nuts. I don't think I'm getting enough calories...but I'm so busy! Alas only four days of school until winter break. Hopefully I can sort some of this out then.

kwan-- Could you specify what amount of what foods you ate to help the problem? I'm suspecting I'm having a similar responce to a largely fruit based diet.

Yeah! This is basically the conclusion I've come to as well, although I still need to work on it, it's getting better. I've been almost monoeating on apples for the past 4 days, but not picking on myself if a sweet cherry tomato slips in there too. I read a suggestion that monoeating on apples for a week can help emotional binging...so that's the current plan and I still have lotsa apples lef

I've been monoeating apples the past four days. My skin cleared up within the first 24 hours and has been near to acne free since then. I was pretty impressed. I have been having weird cooked food cravings-- that I haven't had for months on just raw foods. So I'm not sure what that's about...but my skin looks great!

I live in Minnesota and am feeling the fall definetely here and winter creeping closer - especially in the evenings. This will be my first fall and winter seasons raw. Any suggestions for food you enjoy when the harvest is not so bountiful? Any favorite recipes you'd be willing to share with one soon-to-be-cold raw foodie ?

Oh sorry! I think around 120# (we don't have a scale--but I think that's fairly accurate) So you don't eat any nuts, fruitgirl? Just lots of fruits and veggies?

I'm really not sure about my pre-raw caloric intake. I try and listen to my body and some days I just don't feel hungry. I am only 17 and 5'4" so I'm not a very big person in terms of size. I go to school and do pilates, but do not run or do cardio on a daily basis. Maybe I need to look at eating slightly larger meals consisting of fruit more frequently so that I get sufficient calories

I will probably be buying a bushel of lightly storm damaged honeycrisp apples tomorrow for half-price from a local farmer (very excited!). Anyone have suggestions for storing the apples? (There will be around 80 in the bushel) Inside? Outside covered on the deck? Other ideas? What do you do with your bulk produce?

Hi-- I've been raw for just around 4 months. I have experienced many great effects, but believe continuing acne and "the extra 10 pounds I would LOVE to get rid of" are a result of my overeating on raw food. I struggle with overeating and knowing when I'm full. Once I start eating, I cannot seem to stop. I eat between 300-700 calories a day (on average)-- but usually a majority are

Hi- My mom is considering joining me on raw foods. She has suffered from rheumatoid arthrisis (RA) for many years. Anyone have experience with arthritis and raw foods? Anything (foods, supplements) in particular that will help her body? This forum gives such great, knowledgeable advice. Thanks. ambar

Hi all-- I've secretly been going seven weeks all raw with some of you. This site gives such great support and I've been very surprised with my commitment to staying raw and I know it is due to all of you. However my first detox symptoms hit me hard this weekend. Most annoying and prevalant symptoms being a sore throat, lots of phlegm and sore muscles. I have been addicted to fruit lately and ea
