My friend referred me to a doctor, who does not agree hormone replacement therapy. He evaluates the hormone levels by saliva sample and he gives natural hormones to the body. My friend really happy with her result. I don`t have really big hormonal problem and since I am raw eater the discomfort connected with hormonal cycle is decreased. But I struggled with candida for so long (I guess I am st

I`ve red Jordan Rubin`s book and for me it seems like that when he started his diet (bible diet I think) his father discovered a product, what is similar to the probiotics living soil organism. Jordan started to eat this stuff and I wonder if this product helped him more than the meat eating. I did not read the book by Dave Klein, but is sounds promising.

I`ve used psyllium in some raw recipes, but I realised, that I just accepted it as a small part of the diet without questioning it. I only know that it`s some kind of plant with plenty of fiber but has it place in the raw food diet?

AS i remember Victoria Boutenko wrote in her book ( Green for Life ) that she and her family drank kale smoothie only, for about four months and after a while they just felt they could not drink anymore. Then she developed the idea, to varying the greens in the smoothies so that little amount but different kind of poison that is in all greens can be easily handled and not the same kind goes into

Muchas gracias. Unfortunately after speaking to the doctor I think he wants to remove his gall bladder surgically, before it develops cancer. I think it is silly, just like the young ladies got their healthy breast removed before it had any problem, because they had higher risk to get cancer. Well... Who am I to judge, but I know I would try ANYTHING before giving up and have surgery. It

My step-dad -who is 64 years old and the healthiest, youngest looking guy I`ve ever seen in his age group- recently found out that he has polyp in his gall bladder. His diet is much healthier than the average ( quinoa, fish, crunchy, half cooked vegetable, fruits), yet he has this problem. The doctor said to him to keep fat intake low. Knowing that I eat raw only, he asked if I know any adv

I read in Patenaude`s book about seaweeds: "A danger in eating seaweed is the levels of contaminants, such as heavy metals, they may contain. Even the organic seaweeds that are tested for these contaminants may contain them in some quantity, even though they are guaranteed to be "safe" levels. For these reasons (...) I advise eating them sparingly. I really like nori-sheets,

Hi, I wish you a successful journey. I think you chose the best approach for this immune problem. I`d like to follow your blog time to time because my sister-in-law has the same problem with her thyroid and she found an open minded doctor who put her on raw diet, which is great news. I`m looking looking forward to see your blog. Peace Lejla

Hi Tanawana, I visited www.gardendiet.com and I bought the E-books of this raw family. I read about Jinjee the wife who had bad candida problem. When she went on 100% raw the candida problem got stronger for about six weeks, because she ate lots of fruits but after that period of time candida was gone. She fall back on cooked food four times during her raw journey, and every time the candida pro

Thanks Darcy for the great suggestions. I never tried the cayenne yet. I`m going to try to keep a food diary. Hormonal imbalance could be also my thing, since usually the monthly periods were accompanied with migraine.

Hello, I have a question: could it be some kind of detox that I getting back my migraines? When I was small child I had these killer strong headaches at least once a week ( if I was lucky). Later they did not come that often (about once or twice a month ). When I started to eat no junk and raw the intensity of pain was so much better. Then later I felt like eating 100% raw. Soon I Incre

As I know micro changes the structure of the food and makes it totally foreign to the body even if it not kill the enzymes (that I don`t know for sure but if I would bet I `d say it kills them too). I advise to say good by to the microwave. It is bad bad bad!

Since my (cooked) childhood I`ve got migraine headache from the smell of perfumes and stronger soaps or air freshener. Now it is not so bad but I still hold my breath back in stores or among people sometimes. hehe. Also in childhood I noticed that people who had cold, smelled just like the medicine I`ve got when I was sick with cold. Cooked food does not have the same pleasant smell anymore

Hello Everyone, I`m sure many of you heard this idea about lycopene ( a carotrnoid found in fruits and vegetables). Let me copy here the Encyclopedia. Unlike other fruits and vegetables, where nutritional content such as vitamin C is diminished upon cooking, processing of tomatoes increases the concentration of bioavailable lycopene. Lycopene in tomato paste is four times more bioavailable th
