maybe this is weird, but i've noticed since going raw (about a month and a half ago) that my skin is a lot more delicate and fragile. like i get cuts on my hands every day, i don't know how, it just happens really easily. my skin used to be a lot thicker and tougher when i was cooked. i used to use this face exfoliator every day on my face, and the other day i used it jsut like i used to every da

where i live, i am only able to get coconuts with meat so thick and hard that you couldnt possibly 'spoon' it out. more like crack it in half and use a carrot peeler to peel the woody brown peel off. my guess is these coconuts are really old. it just sucks that i will never have like a REAL coconut !!

thanks earthangel! 08/28/07 on top of starting to steer away from the nuts and being dependant on the nuts (which i am no longer!) i am steering away from salty things too. what i mean by this mainly is just like recipes that use lots of nama shoyu and stuff like that. NOT cutting them out!.. just like.. replacing them once in awhile with fresh fruit. i know i've talked about it before

i don't have one and do perfectly fine without. however i kind of wish i did have one! i would like to make some fruit/nut bars and things to take on the go. or flax bread. but on the other hand, juicy fresh foods just appeal to me much more so i'm in no rush to go out and buy one. eventually i will probably invest in a cheaper one though!

ahoy! i find lately i don't get hunger like i used to, or that 'full' feeling after eating, i think because now i eat smaller portions more frequently. and it's not liek one big heavy meal it's more like some grapes here, some salad here, an apple here, ect. and most of all lately it is a lot easier for me to not want cooked foods. like only if i am really really hungry and the smell of some c

i've been feeling better today, and just lately in general. i didn't expect the changes of sticking to an all-raw diet to come to gradually! i went to a party last night with a bunch of my old friends and my best friend jesse commented that i looked really good and had a glow! it made me so happy!! but yeah i feel cleaner inside. detox is not so bad as it was before. i am craving way less cooked

i think it's lame when i hear all the time that since i'm a vegan (even moreso a raw vegan!) that i need to take supplements. i look/feel healthier than all my non-vegan friends and i don't take anything! except spirulina powder, which is a blue-green algea. i'm ok with it because it's a natural source of B-12! no pills for me! i think it's ok to process your own foods in the respects of juici

personally i've never really felt comfortable with supplements not knowing where they have been derived from and not feeling that they are all that natural. however i do take spirulina (blue-green algea) because it is not really a vitamin or mineral that has been extracted from something but rather a plant of its own.: Spirulina contains unusually high amounts of protein, between 55 and 77% by

i can always tell just like any raw that a person eats meat. because of the smell! but more so than that what turns me off of carni guys is a lack of compassion. not that i don't relalize why people eat meat, since i used to eat SAD like everyone else, but when you're so morally and compasionately against something and it's not important to the other person at all, they instantly become unattract

i would never eat meat, but i'm sure if people ate it raw, due to all the chemicals and hormones and diseases in the meat, they would get very sick. and i don't imagine it would be very appitizing.

that is seriously so appaling. so are you safe from GMO's if you buy organic? that's what i thought. in that case the only way to be safe is to buy from local growers who you know don't use gmo or ... grow your own. which is impossible if you live in a place like i do where for 6 months of the year the ground is buried in 2 ft of snow! i'm surprised more of the public don't care or pay much
