I quite agree La Veronique. I call it washing your dirty laundry in public. I feel sorry for your husband - telling the world that you want to leave him - talk to him and do some growing up while you are at it.

It's so much better than no mango at all!!! - if it still tastes good then eat it with relish - although personally I would want to bring it to room temperature first (bearing in mind that I live in the UK and do not want chilled food for 11 months of the year - or even 12 months)

It's brilliant. I would put it on my beautiful, talented, wonderful daughter's scales but I think finally she has got rid of them - which for her is a real achievement. RawPracticalist - your view is so black and white and harsh - there is a huge middle road between people who stuff their faces all day long on SAD rubbish food and those who are raw. There are so many people who try SO HARD

Check how you feel with all those sprouts - I can't eat a spoonful; they really disagree with me.

I haven't read the whole of that I'm afraid but I know about it. Jeez I'm so worried about what's to come next - Iran etc etc.

I read a very interesting article in a magazine called "What the Doctors don't tell you" about Dr. Patrick Kingsley successfully treating a lady with end-stage breast cancer. Apparently he has treated many so called incurable cancers with much success. I do hope this is useful to you. Here is another encouraging link :

I've just had a huge mercury filling in a molar replaced with a composite resin one. My mercury fillings are 20-30 years old and starting to cause problems so my dentist and I are going to embark on a programme of slowly replacing them before problems occur. I'll have to do it as funds allow - so one every 4-6 months. It'll be nice to get rid of them - I had loads done in the 70's and 80's - s

Like Powerlifer I use a foam roller for working on my IT band. I am also a massage therapist - and I think that any form of gentle rolling will encourage lymph drainage. The lymph system does not have a pump to move it around unlike the blood system which has the heart. Lymph is moved by muscular movement and massage. When you move lymph it is dumped into the blood system to be filtered by

'Pony up' - now there's an expression I have not heard before. I'm not quite sure if I understand it's meaning from your post either. Paul - have you read Wheat Belly? - it is very interesting (although I find the style of delivery very irritating)

Yes. I have read that wheat is a big inflammatory factor for our arteries. An interesting book on the subject is Wheat Belly. It is certainly true that most people eat wheat at every meal - a huge onslaught for the body. Spikes the blood sugar hugely too.

This is the really important question. It seems that we really do need both types of cholesterol. The idea that there is good and bad cholesterol is wrong. There is tons of info. out there now to back this up. The cholesterol helps ouur system to deal with inflammation of the tissues - but why is there inflammation - there seems to be so many reasons: bad food, stress, pollutants in the envir

Definately rest, ice and elevation. Don't ice for more than 10-15 mins at a time. Also you could try taking Arnica 30 - this helps with pain, swelling and inflamation. This is from my own experience as a runner and a running coach - hope you are on the mend now.

In the UK a very interesting magazine has been launched with the above title. In this first publication it deals with macular degeneration, the great mammogram con, herbal remedies, cosmetics:supercharged cancer (scary stuff about cadmium in root veggies too), bi-polar cases amongst children to name but a few. It has interesting references to healing foods in many of the articles which makes

I don't want to hide the taste, or lack of, of my salad or vegetables - i LIKE the taste of raw garlic on it's own as well as in a salad. What is so difficult to understand about that. just because some of you don't or cant eat it doesn't mean that it isn't a perfectly good food for the rest of us. Yes it's strong, yes it's hot, yes it's smelly - so what - it is jolly nice too. I don't find i

I love garlic - i feel it is very beneficial in the small quantities that I eat it - usually chopped up in a salad dressing. Yum.

Panchito - maybe some gentle words of encouragement and leading by example might filter through to your co-worker. It's easy to forget how 'weird' and 'different' a vegan diet or even more so a raw vegan diet is to those who have grown up with fast food etc. It's a massive change to get ones head around - tiny steps do add up in the end.

I think it was Jodi - but it might have been suncloud who said that juiced raw potato kept her arthritis or achey joints at bay. It is only me trying to remember an old thread so apologies to both of the above if I've got it wrong

I agree Coco - no formula is going to be as good - and as for giving tiny babies nuts and seeds - even if pulverised and strained endlessly - very unwise IMO.

Did your breast milk return to 'normal' again? Did you keep expressing milk to keep the supply up so that you could return to feeding yourself once the pesticides were out of your system. You do hear of babies not thriving when their parents feed them 'different' diets - it's one hell of a risk.

Why romaine - it is one of the most bland and boring lettuces I know. There are so many more interesting and tasty varieties. I'm loving some of the old heirloom varieties this summer e.g. flashy butteroak on this page:

Are you eating sprouts - I can't eat them at all or I experience hideous, painful bloating and of course instant weight gain. I also have to be careful with nuts and seeds. It may be nothing to do with calories but as Panchito suggests your body reacting to something you are eating.

Phew - i'm glad I don't live in the city I guess I don't have much experience of living next to fast food outlets and shops although i have to say the churchyard next to the very busy pub in my village doesn't seem to have a problem - i guess it's a question of numbers. Fair enough Tam - however you did mention standing edibles which begged my question Jalan I have a morris minor - it's g
