From what I have heard the insurance policy is far from mandatory. Basically all it does is if you don't have health insurance through work or cannot get health insurance there will be a public plan you can join. Also they will probably expand Chip coverage. I know of only a few court cases where vaccination was forced. In PA, a waiver can be signed if you did not or do not want your children to

Can I ask why? Our bodies make vitamin B12 unless there is a certain genetic blood disorder.

People react that way to almost anything alternative. Our media has done a really good job of convincing everyone that all of these alternative books are written by nut jobs and snake oil sales men.

At the healthfood store where I work we don't carry wheatgrass but a flat of wheatgrass can be custom ordered. Also wheatberries can be planted and grown in trays. I usually sprinkle flax seeds in my salad they can also be sprouted or ground and added to smoothies. If your looking for the omega three benefit make sure to ground them fresh. Whole flax seeds are only good for fiber since they canno

To me advice like this only serves to convince those in poverty that they should continue to strive for the common good while those in power are completely ignore this advice. This is also just bad advice for people with bad luck. I am a good person but I'm not good at everything and I've had many bad things happen to me. The real trick is finding the so called silver lining in everything.

Fish also has lots of environmental toxins in it. Why fish? What is wrong with nuts, seeds, beans, grains that are complete proteins? Or coconut oil for the fat?

The RDA for vitamins and minerals is outdated. So I wouldn't worry about it.

I went camping in April with only a two insulated bags that I use for grocery shopping. I brought lots of apples, oranges, bananas, tomatoes, avocados, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, flax seeds, cucumbers, hummus and dressing. Everything stayed pretty well, except for the carrots that got a little brown because I precut them. I actually way over packed for my family we ended up giving

Don't beat yourself up. I think eating cooked food, even really bad stuff occasionally is ok. I think where people fail with any diet is they think eating something bad one time is horrible and then they completely fall out of their diet and routine. Just forget about and move on. Also it looks like you need some support. Maybe you could look to see if there is a raw or vegan group in your area o

Well what are you craving? Chances are with a good recipe you can make an awesome raw replacement. Also I agree it sounds like you are eating way to much fruit. Instead try salads and other recipes with vegetables maybe add more seeds and nuts. You could even do some cooked whole grains.

The best thing to do is eat the freshest produce possible. So instead of buying lots of stuff and then storing it, it is better to go shopping more often and buy fewer items. The same thing with sauces and dressings if you only make what you need, you don't have to worry about storing stuff for long periods of time.

Be the messenger. Most people are fed up with the medical system as it exists right now. Tell people about things that have worked for you or helped others you know.

Try massaging his belly in a clockwise motion after feedings and burping him in the middle of feedings (a good time is when he switches between breasts) by putting him over your shoulder and patting his back. Being a breastfed infant he should not spit up, but burp. Also if your wife isn't doing this already feed on demand, meaning if the infant cries or starts to root for the breast, she needs t

No. I work at a health food store and get free training by all of these supplement companies. Honestly most of what they put into these pills isn't stuff people should be putting in their bodies because they are coming from synthetically derived vitamins. Meaning instead of getting vitamins from food they are getting creating them in a lab. Our bodies don't recognize these vitamins, our bodies ca

You may be surprised my how high of a yield you can get from growing sprouts in a glass jar. Using about a teaspoon of sprouts easily fills up a large mason jar with sprouts in a few days. Plus it is extremely easy and cheap. I started out with a sprouting jar I purchased for a few dollars that came with three lids for sprouting, but now I just use any glass jar I can get my hands on, cheese clot

Frances, this comment seems extremely rude and is not very constructive. Yeah broken glass can kill but BPA can cause a wide range of issues that can lead to death. If I'm going to invest the time and energy to be on a raw food diet I would prefer not to use appliances that could potentially cause me or my family harm. Also am I honestly supposed to believe that there is not an alternative? What
