I just opened my new juicer. I wanted to test out how it dealt with fruit. I juiced 1 small pineapple and a small pink grapefruit. It made 1 pint of juice. The pulp is almost dry. I did not have to use the plunger, it simply fed straight through. It takes up little space on the counter. Its really QUIET! The juice tastes amazing, very little froth. Its not at all pulpy and it has

Hi meganbubbs Your idea of looking into acupuncture would be worth following up. Im currently studying an acupuncture degree and have my end of second year exams next week. I have just spent the weekend revising and recognise what you are describing. Chinese medicine recognises it as a set of symptoms that create a syndrome that can be treated by acupuncture. Meanwhile, cleaning up th

Did you have this problem pre raw? Is it only green that do this or other food too? Are you breaking the green down first by juicing or blending? If not, try breaking it down before consumption and see what effect that has. My waste is more of a darker green when I eat lots of green smoothies. If you are worried, get it checked out. As jalanutan advised, better not to mention raw.

The ancient wisdom is facinating. The colours, shapes and energy of those beautiful fruits and veggies are so inspirational. It both saddens and amazes how far we have travelled from our inner wisdom. We are taught to rely on others to teach and tell us what to do when what we really need to be taught is how to use our five senses and simply connect to our inner voice and outer world.

Hi gems I have fasted in the past. I started with juice, into water back onto juice several times. I felt good. I feel okay now on raw. I dont have any ibs symptoms. If i start eating cooked the symptoms return. At the moment Im working and studying a full time degree course, so I cant allocate the time required to fast properly. I just do the best that I can with the resources available.

Hi gems. Ive had IBS for many years. When I eat raw food im fine (as long as i dont combine fats and sugar in the same meal. I cant tolerate melons as they appear to cause a flare up. Years ago, I ate a diet of high greens and sprouted seeds. At that time i did daily wheatgrass enemas. I found the diet very restrictive and everyone complained about the smell of the indoor green seedlings!

My thinking is that if I have mucus trapped where I know about it, the chances are that other areas of the body are also clogged up with debris that requires elimination. The body parts do not work in isolation. Its a complete unit. As the colon is concerned with elimination and reabsorption, I thoght it might be worth a try to focus on the whole rather than a part! Hi prism, thanks for your tips. I had my ears checked. There is no wax. The problem lies on the other side of the ear drum. Im also using psyllium daily. Have been for 4 months now. Some of the 'GURUS' rave about these as an aid to cleansing. Im still in search of a method to clear these blocked eustachians. I have tried the direct/ local approach (cranial sacral, acupuncture, ear candles, sinus drain massage and neti pot cleansing) now im thinking it might be time to approach from a different perspective! I would not normally consider this as i would prefer to detox

I feel these symptoms are due to one of the following; A virus, not likely as it always happens at this stage of eating a high raw diet. Allergy/ Intollerance to the foods currently consumed; I normally eat these foods when I eat cooked, but if my system is cleaner, then maybe the intolerance is now evident as the system is not as supressed A cleansing of built up toxity in the body/

Hi Panchito I always feel great to start with then i hit this wall! im determined to get through it and it hard to do. thanks for your power booster idea Phantom I know I can!!!!!! thanks for your encouragement. I have been here many times and given up at this stage. I slowly regress back to cooked and I feel better temporarily, because my ears unblock and the sticky mucus goes back

Cheers Tamukha Im having a tough time, but these things are not achieved easily! It took me years to clog up! im just a bit impatient! Im doing really well. I havnt given in, just feeling a bit fed up ,overloaded etc. This is always my 'sticking' point. I have not managed to move beyond it on previous occasions. Its like wading through treacle! Im determined to keep going. I just w

So, I remember why i never get past the 6 months high raw stage! Because i feel so ill! All the rubbish is coming out, I have a head like a puff ball, blocked eustachians, low enery and no signs of improvement. Im still eating wheat free pasta or brown rice with my evening meal. I also have a few steamed veggies some times as I transition. The rest of my food is raw. This is the point wher

I know its a transient thing, so im not really concerned, more intriqued by the experience. However, the blocked eustachian tube is driving me nuts! I know thats transient too, but not quite as easy to deal with! I have fewer patience with physical symptoms! Im off to try another steam clean followed by a neti pot irrigation. I need to clear the tube to prevent infection as I havnt taken an

I was riding high on the road to wellness, feeling better by the day, then smack out of nowhere it hit me! I didnt recognise it for what it was initially. I was feeling really happy because i had just opened a letter from the tax office containing a substantial rebate. Within an hour, I was as miserable as could be for no apparent reason. I felt terrible. Next thing I knew, I was really up

I think that I have narrowed it down between the Oscar hurom 400 and the Omega VERT VRT350 HD. Apparently they are made in the same factory, but omega have been around a lot longer. Trouble is that you do all of this research but you wont know until you have used it and tasted the juice!

I studied both shiatsu and macrobiotics. I agreed with you at that stage of my learning. I had big issues with the 'not eating anything raw' as it would dammage the spleen etc etc! Despite what I was told, my experience did not match the teachings. Also the people telling me these things didnt look so healthy! Im now studying acupuncture. Its an integrated five element/ TCM degree. Now that

coco The chinese medicine veiw point is that the large intestine meridian runs along the upper arm, whilst the stomach meridian runs from under the eye, through the cheek. These 'bumps' are associated with food allergies (especially dairy on the upper arm) So many ways to look at things. Its all about what resonates with you. I love that! FFX

Pl Interesting point regarding malabsorption. I have sufferd with IBS for 20+ years. Always clears on raw and returns on a cooked food diet. So it figures that there must be longterm deficiencies. Its not possible to live with longterm IBS without experiencing susequent health issues. All good food for thought thanks FFx

Looking at your posts, Im pretty much on track at present. I feel more prepared than I have evre done before and even more determined. However, I cant allow this to lead me into a place of false security. I will organise a fit day account. I have never done that before, so will give it a try. Jodie i know what you mean when you say a 'small army of freezer packs'! so do my family! I for
