My apologies! I purchased a VM5200 from Horchow about a year and a half ago and there was no processing/shipping fee. Guess they must have had free shipping at the time since there were no additional charges on my order. I assumed this was the case this time....know what they say about assuming!!! Well, it was worth a look!!

www.horchow.com has a sale on till may 18th on the VM pro500. Vitamix mentioned when I called them last year, that the name may vary for the high-end stores but the product is the same ...........they are on sale from $599.00 with 30%off for $419.00 plus shipping and tax. Just thought I'd throw that out there, not in the market for a blender since I already own a Vitamix so I don't know if t

Thanks for the link Paul, I tried juicing with the bag lining the container and it was much quicker than before. Guess this will have to do because I'm pretty much stuck with this juicer and I was already aware of all his other tips besides cutting off a piece of the plug. I'm with you on that one, I'm not about to go that far! Anyway, thanks again for the feedback. Much appreciated. Shazz

Gilmore Girl, I own a Hurom slow juicer and am so frustrated with it because of all the extra pulp in the juice. You don't mention the pulp so I'm wondering if you've found a way to get just juice without having to use the 2 step process with a nut mylk bag. The amount of pulp is just unbelievable for a juicer and I just wish more people had emphasized that in their reviews. I certainly would

Well I have both the Breville centrifugal and the Hurom and I find myself using both. I thought that once I got the Hurom that I would have given the Breville away, but I find that I use both. The Hurom/Vert is just not as great with celery and soft produce like cucumbers and watermelon. The pulp drives me crazy.......I just don't like the two-step juice/nut mylk bag process. I was so excite

I get these emails quite often........and don't even bother opening them., it's considered phishing . Just a way to get personal information which is used for scamming. Like Tamukha said.......you've got to have played the lottery for you to win. Anyway, it doesn't matter how complicated your email address is, they have programs that just fire out every possible combination of addresses and s

Hi, Please don't take this the wrong way, but it seems that you already weigh too little for your height! I checked a few height/weight charts and sure enough, for your height-5'6" you should weigh somewhere between 120 to 134lbs if you've got a small frame. 105lbs is closer to the ideal weight for a 5'1' female. Maybe you're not losing any more weight on a raw food diet because you don't

Wow,what timing with your post. just yesterday I started seriously looking into the norwalk, for the second time. It's true that the company only supports original owners though, so if you want the warranty, Norwalk sometimes does have demos on sale with a full 12 yr warranty. It sounds like a lot of work, but the quality of juice and the fact that it can be kept for about a week would certai

I have made smoothies daily for the past 9 months on my vitamix 5200 and honestly, I have always had delicious SMOOTHies......very delicious, no lumps or bumps. I usually blend a variety of greens and fruits including kale, celery, spinach, romaine, field greens, dandelions, pineapple, apple, mango, bananas, oranges, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and the list goes on. I think that the

To any Canadians out who are looking to buy a juicer.....the hurom upright slow juicer is on sale at www.costco.ca till may 16th. It is regularly $349 on sale for $279.99 ($70.00 off). That price includes shipping but not taxes. Items can be returned to any Costco warehouse if necessary. The website does say that it carries a 1 year warranty, but customer service advised that this was a Costc

When I purchased one as a gift for my Mom for Christmas, there was also free shipping........guess that's not being offered now.....at the time the total order was $379.00 with taxes included. I also purchased one for myself directly from Vitamix back in September, using a free shipping code from a raw website, that total came up to $505.00 with taxes. Guess you'll have to decide whether it's

Hey everyone, In case anyone is interested in buying a vitamix blender, they can be purchased at horchow.com until Jan 14th 6am central time for $349.00. It's the same as the new vitamix 5200 but this is the professional series with a slightly different look for higher end stores(according to the rep at vitamix). They are usually $449.00 directly from Vitamix, on Horchow (a division of Nieman
