thanks so much Paul. I totally see what you are saying. I think I am going to have to find the extra $100 bucks... and actually... I want the Blendtec anyway. I only was considering the Vitamix because the cheaper older model. LOL
damn it! I can't believe I want to spend $450 on a blender!! my husband is going to think I am nuts!! HA!!

Anyone have this? love it? hate it?
I am new to the raw food world and really love it. I am looking to get a new blender, since my $20 cheapie one, just ain't cuttin it. Literally.
So I can't spend $450 on a Blendtec or newer Vitamix model... so how about this older Vitamix Model.... Vitamix Turboblend 4500 Counter Top Blender?

your response was very thorough... and I would love either one but can't afford the $450 price tag. I wanted to ask you... what about the Vitamix Turboblend 4500 Counter Top Blender. I guess its an older model. I found it for $337. Is that still good to get? and is that a good price for older model?
I am a new aspiring raw foodist. Just so you know. I know nothing. ))

What about an older Vitamix model?? I found the Vitamix Turboblend 4500 Counter Top Blender for $337. Is that model still good?

what about choping up all your greens and having them in zip lock bags so all you have to do it grab and dump in the morning? That's what I wanted to do. I would like to do it all when I get home from the market and just have them ready to go for the week.

Hi Everyone!
I' an aspiring raw foodist and have been making green smoothies for the past few weeks with my cheap $20 blender, I've had since I moved out on my own. I;m totally in love with my green smoothies, BUT not in love with making them. My blender totally stinks! obviously It takes me forever because I freeze my bananas and strawberries and it has a real hard time grabbing those ...
