These are the facts, not negative energy. Soft sell marketing is not an honest profession, its actually more sneaky and effective than overt hard sell marketing. Some other questionable points: -If you are going to use some junk gauges, why show us the non-load wattage (in which the Omega was higher) and then avoid telling us what the load wattage range or peak was for each machine. Why d

I'd like to call out so-called expert reviewers for trying to be pseudo technical with toy gauges and dwelling on subjective differences rather than being objective and focusing on the significant differences important to the end-user. Its a huge pet peeve of mine. Full disclosure is also needed, otherwise it looks like snake oil to a trained eye and turns off potential customers. John Kohle

Pad Mod Disclaimer - at your own risk. Likely could void your warranty but does not make any significant changes to your Waring base and no changes to the Vitamix Advance Container (recommended - my original modification was not necessary as noted above - base mount covered in electrical tape from first mod which also works) Tools needed - Dremel tool, safety goggles, small dremel cut-

I needed another container and I knew some of the newest designs (K-tec Wildside/Vitamix XP knock-off and Vitamix Advance) work better than the traditional taller/narrower multi-blade containers. The Raptor is better than my old Vitamix container (slightly wider, smooth sides, tamper not needed), but this is better still and ideal for my needs (I primarily make smoothies). I guess would have bo

I just got a commercial Vitamix Advance container for my Waring MX1000XTX. It does not fit well without at least modifying the pad (I modified the pad and one of the pad mounts but it will work if you just modify the inside of the pad and orient it in between the pad mounts). It still works with Waring and standard Vitamix containers after modification. I used a Dremel to make the modification

The biggest fraud in blenders is the "3HP" rating of his Omni V blender. Its 8A - 960 watts. If he really wants to talk about the truth, he needs to start there - his product is missing 10A of power! The Kitchenaid 5 speed model uses 6A which is 720 watts or just under 1HP (1HP is 746 watts). For a budget blender its excellent and its computer controlled motor uses its motor efficiently. Keep in mind since its not as powerful it will take more time to blender and it does have a smaller carafe. The reuseable water bottles that have the strongest taste or odor are not polycarbonate, but BP

Without seeing an independent study on such claims the best one could say is the high power/speed blenders should break down cell walls faster and more effectively. You have to ask yourself though, what is the analog of this process in normal diet which would mechanically break down cell walls to the same degree as blender can - nothing. Seems more like marketing fluff to tout its capabilit

Most stainless steel carafes are a PITA to work with - harder to clean, results only viewable through the small filling hole at the top. A tall thin carafe like that would probably need a tamper especially with a "1hp motor" - they don't specify its actual amp rating which will tell you how truthful the claim is. If you want to save money I would look at the 5 speed consumer Kitchenai

All of these high-end blenders are noisy. You can buy aftermarket sound enclosures for Vitamix and Blendtec which reduce the noise by 1/5-1/4: Waring sell a factory solution for not much more: If you buy from some resellers (like TBP for the Waring link above) they sometimes have a 30-day return policy for blenders. I don't know the return policy details or specific brands this

Actually the Blendtec/Ktec Smoother(and the ICB7 for home users) 20A is noticeably more powerful than the Vitamix Advance at 15A but I don't see how most people could justify any $800-900 blender (and the dedicated wiring+NEMA 5-20R receptacle in the case of the Blendtec 20AMP motor). People with high-end anything are usually arguing over VERY diminishing returns - often marketing points even

Here is an overview of Vitamix's top of the line blender - Blending Station Advance. Since Vitamix was sued and no longer can use the 5-sided Blendtec carafe design, they designed their new top of the line Advance Carafe. Like the Waring and the especially effective Blendtec Wildside Carafe, no tamper/plunger used through better design:

You'll probably need something like a Vitamix/Waring/Blendtec then. Some videos I recall from 3blenders (I haven't seen many):

A tamper is only necessary in a container than does not create the ideal turbulence. Its an extra step and unacceptable in a commercial environment where time is money (which is also why commercial blenders tend to be high powered). With modern computer aided design, its easy for manufacturers to test this and design appropriately. Blendtec's Wildside container wasn't snake oil which is why Vi

Here are the 4 canned BPA studies I mentioned: (login required) So in 60 years the Waring product now has 3 times the RPM. I always make cold or frozen smoothies with my blender so I'm not so worried about significant oxidation. The high speed ones only require 15-30 seconds of blending for about a 24 oz emulsion, not 5 minute super sessions. With certain warmer and more liq

There were four canned BPA leaching studies (No Silver Lining - The National Work Group for Safe Markets, Dec 2009 - Consumer Reports/Union, Nov 2010 - University of North Texas, and June 2010 - Health Canada) and only one study (UT) had the sample with a pH of 5 that rated highest in that specific study. In science lack of consensus means further studies are needed until an emerging body of stu

The polycarbonate carafe kitchenaid - $75 on amazon and the glass model which cost about $25 more is 6A - 720 watts. I am not familiar with the $130 glass model which comes with a different base and two different glass carafe. The polycarbonate Kitchenaid carafe was redesigned, it does not leak anymore - if you do break it they sell new ones on Amazon for $35. The SS carafe is fluted like th

It was a single result and there is not clear factor to determine BPA leaching in lined cans - there are so many variables involved when dealing with mass produced products too (they might change can vendors or have multiple vendors, a canning machine/processing machine might be calibrated different, etc). The other two studies did not show this result, so one cannot state pH is a factor without

Read it again, it says food samples more acidic (lower than 5) and alkaline (higher than 5) were not as high as pH 5 sample(s) - ie the pH is not the determining factor as the other studies I quoted also showed. Green beans, which came out as the most BPA in various studies, are alkaline food. Tomatoes and pineapples are acid and yet they came out as low scores for BPA leaching or even undetect

Canned and processed foods are by far the biggest health concern you should address. Non-storage use in unheated foods and beverages containers are not the primary exposure sources (ie your blender or your daily reuseable water bottle). Consumer Reports offers good advice on this matter: QuoteConsumer UnionIn Japan, most major manufacturers voluntarily changed their can linings in 1997 to cu

Discountjuicers.com is not and has never been a major reseller to the commercial market which is where Waring makes the overwhelming majority of their sales from - they do not market to consumers heavily like Vitamix - there are no demos at warehouse and chainstores, they do not actively promote through smaller resellers like John K (discountjuicers.com) and Thomas Fox (3blenders.com) - the dist

You gotta love armchair "experts". A true commercial blender, by construction and definition is built for heavy duty use and conditions - consumers rarely if ever come even close to an establishment like a restaurant or bar which uses their equipment around the clock. This is why BOTH Vitamix and Waring have the shorter warranty for their higher end, more powerful commercial models.

Forgot to post this above. Heat, BY FAR, is a much more significant problem with BPA leaching. If you are following UL and blender manufacturer guidelines (not storing food in your carafes and especially not cooking them) the risk is not significant in recommended blending applications. Note the measured levels in the non-heated containers were after storage FOR SEVEN DAYS!. QuoteToxico

The Waring Raptor container is one of the few commercial Titan (ie NSF approved) carafes on the market, so the are all equal on that front plus you can buy it with a stainless steel carafe. And realistically leaching is a concern in storage or high-temperature applications (higher temperatures speed up chemical reactions). No blenders are UL approved for cooking in them, even the Vitamix

I am just trying to cut through all the snake oil everyone is selling. I am not recommending the older MX1000 (which does not have a 13A motor either - 12A), I am recommending the new MX1000XTX - 13A motor - it has a new carafe design, Tritan Copolymer and a new blade assembly. As I said I was a long time Vitamix TNC (Total Nutrition Center) user. A TNC is now called the 5200. Companies are

None of these machines are actually 3hp. As I said if the motor was 100% efficient 1HP = 6.2A or 745.7 watts - best case in the real world (since motors are not 100% efficient) at 1HP at around 1100 watts or around 9A. The 5200 motor is 11.5A, the Vitaprep 3 (one of the best Vitamix blenders you'd need in a home, a commercial product) is 12.5A , the Waring is 13A, most Blendtec are 13A (some of

Get the new Waring Extreme MX1000XTX. I had a Vitamix TNC (now called the 5200) for a long time and gave it away to a family member. I've been using it everyday, twice a day for the past month and half. The Waring is more powerful, cheaper, shorter(fits under cabinet), better insulated(quieter), and has a longer commercial warranty than the commercial Vitamixers. A commercial warranty reflect
