I took mine apart to clean all the juice that has gotten into the crack around the outside. It didn't get inside too much but there were some juice stains inside. I found that the motor is held to the base plastic piece via two screws that go through notches in the plastic base. Awful design. Of course one was loose and the other had fallen out. I put them back in as tight as I could but they sho

I have an Oster beehive blender - stainless steel base and glass carafe - extremely durable. Not "high-speed" like a Vitamix or Blendtec and only 2 speeds but it works great for me. Tribest recently released the Dynablend, which is a high-speed blender with a glass carafe and looks quite promising. However many complain that the gearing that connects the carafe to the base ends up

I like a lot of aspects of this juice press. Wood is a nice material for this. I also like that with the press plates on top you don't end up needing to clean the press itself. That said, this setup will only really work in conjunction with another juicer, as without relatively dry pulp, the bag will end up soaking in a bath of juice that comes up over the press stones on the bottom. I have an Omega 8004 and for what it is I am happy with it. If I needed and wanted another juicer of this style I would probably purchase another 8004 instead of anything newer just to save on cost as I don't believe the NC800 is going to do much different. I just bought an Omega VRT350 and am sorely disappointed, have gone back to using the 8004. Can't wait to sell the VRT. Furthermore I

I have been using a Welles Press for a few years in conjunction with a a manual single auger juicer primarily intended for wheatgrass. A year ago I got an Omega 8004 which has pretty much replaced the use of the manual auger (lately I use it with the blank plate and use the Welles Press for all juice extraction). I am about to purchase a Norwalk 275 (because I think it's the best model they m
