@Ela2013 Your sauce made with carrot pulp sounds like a great idea! I never thought of that. I will have to try it. I am tempted to dehydrate some of the pulps and powder them, then add the powder to smoothies? I dehydrate & grind all of the nut pulps into flours, then refrigerate. I do love apple juice and apple pulp, I am reminded of raw apple sauce. Maybe I can make a raw treat out of a

I would just like to mention that I use a wire brush, the sort used for cleaning a grill, to scrub the twin gears clean. I have an Angel juicer (although not sure what model). The wire brush does an excellent job!

This is how I juiced for the longest time! I would make anywhere from 8oz-40oz of fresh juice using my Vitamix. I blended everything with a little water or coconut water added, then poured it all through a pantyhose sock. Squeezing that thing took forever. I would store the juices in my fridge using re-purposed glass bottles (from kombucha or something). I knew this wasn't the same as having a ju

jtprindl- Thank you for the remedies, friend! I have not tried magnolia bark, jamaican dogwood, l-theanine, or capsule form of passionflower. I have done both passionflower and valerian as teas only. Valerian tea I occasionally drank an entire quart of, yet still found sleep impossible ): I have long used lavender for aromatherapy, but I now have a Young Living diffuser which I find most effectiv

Ela2013 thank you for reading my story friend!!! I very much appreciate it!! Is there any reason you recommend carrot in specific? I do drink a lot of water but I've never specifically tracked how much. And the ratio of fruits to vegetables should be 1:1? The sleep part is where things get hard, because I don't live with supportive people, they simply won't allow me to sleep when I need to. ): Ea

This is what I am doing at my home! I have turned much of my yard into an edible landscape. It was, prior to this, a mix of icky weeds. You will need a sharp hoe and pitchfork, as well as a rototiller. I clear small patches with the hoe, then turn them over/remove deeper roots with the pitchfork. Larger areas call for renting a rototiller, or buying one. Like the above commenter mentioned, mulchi

I sprinkled hulled buckwheat on some soil, watered them, and they sprouted. They went to flower and produced more buckwheat seed. Try it out! Be patient, they may take awhile to sprout! All I've ever used for this was hulless buckwheat groats (:

What follows is an abbreviated version of my LONG LONG story: February 12, 1994 is my birthday (: Born to, unfortunately, two highly abusive parents...mom has untreated mental illnesses. Dad is an enabler. It's a loveless marriage. She cannot take care of herself, they are legally married so she can have a roof over her head and money in her wallet. She wanted a child at a late age (nearly 4

I have borage. Comes back year after year, the cucumber flavored periwinkle blooms pull right off. I also like to grow echinacea, sunflower, and monarda. Monarda has an oregano flavor, excellent in a savory dish. Sunflower is all-purpose. Press their petals on a dessert! I of course keep violas too. Violets of any sort will do from pansy to petunia. I have black hollyhocks, as well as pink. I've

Hey thanks you two! That recipe sounds superb I will have to try it! And thanks for recommending that book. I'm looking that up as well. Adding lactic acid is a brilliant idea. I never thought my crackers would ferment. But now that I've seen it happen, I'm going to make less dough at once. Are there any blogs, books, or other materials you like on fermenting, or dehydrating? Thanks again

I have made mayo with tofu. I can link you to the recipes I used. And yes, you can make tofu at home, and it doesn't even have to be made from soy beans. You can make tofu from chickpeas, and you can also try making aquafaba mayo. If you haven't heard of aquafaba yet, it's the liquid from a can of chickpeas or other beans, and it's being used as an egg replacer. The same substance can also be mad

I have a 6 tray dehydrator. What I make in it most often are dehydrated crackers. I save the pulp from non-dairy milks in my freezer and add flax/chia, oil, colored salt, and dried herbs until it forms a dough. This time, my dough made enough for 10 trays. I dehydrated the first six, but I had to leave the rest of the dough in the fridge for a couple days before dehydrating it. Batch 1 tastes and
