Oooo...seitan...Celiac Chicks (celiacchicks.com) have designed a T shirt that says "Seitan Is Evil" per the gluten issue; that and the fact that it's made of soy are the two reasons I can't touch the stuff even if I wanted to! I was unaware that you were smoking, Elakti... there's so much on your plate, young lady, that you are dealing with... I've never smoked, but I can understand

I'll jump on quickly, then, Sundancer, and give you my "Have an ecstatically wonderful blessing-filled abundant productive Birthday - and birthYear!" early, then! I 'd even put the date into my phone calender so I wouldn't forget 8/08/08 ;} You may want to post the recipe for that cheesecake too ;-) Sorry to hear that things have been so rough at work...I hope things improve soon.

Day 56 --------- Jeepers! How time flies! Managed to get a few things yesterday, thank goodness; my fruit and green supply was looking RATHER pathetic ;-(), though I'm kinda 'off' of greens right now... I don't even want to LOOK at a Romaine leaf and the only way I can persuade myself to get some greens in me is if I juice them, which I haven't done for a couple of days now! I've had a ten

I'm with you, Elakti - gotta love those soul-searching days! We've been having a lot of those lately, and that's good for sloughing dead and toxic stuff off / out of our conciousness! It sounds like you are doing rather well, and I'm glad for that... Don't worry too much about your weight; just focus on maintaining all the good habits you've established, doing things that fulfil your passion a

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} to you both! Thanks for the love! I'm definitely in metamorphosis, and you're right - there're a lot of cocoons this would-be butterfly has to break through!!! I hope you had a great weekend, Sundancer! Elakti, I've never heard of that book but I'll look it up once I'm done here for sure! I'd just asked about the job (in your blog), and just saw t

Yep, Elakti, so much does happen on the yoga mat; so much so that I need to haul my behind back to it! ;} Really, I found it so insightful what you said about the poses you hate, and the observing & working through your attitudes, beliefs, etc; so, SO true! Seeing how you have attained your goal of getting back to yoga & how much you're loving your practice has inspired me to get back to M

Darn! Wasn't fast enough to make an edit! Oh, well...Wanted to add that one of the greatest revelations I received this week was that outward things should have zero impact and influence on how I view and treat myself. He likes me and thinks I'm attractive? That's cool. She thinks I'm a loser, or that I'd be better if I did this or that? That's cool, too. What you think or say has no bearing w

Sundancer, hope you were able to take advantage of that extra time to have fab. fun with the fam (aww, shucks, I couldn't resist that one)! Man, if I had that delicius bounty in my backyard I'd be juicing three-four times a day, I think!!! I had another one of my pineapple-apple-ginger juices this morning - a fast favourite of mine, definitely. Been chopping on mangoes and enjoyed enjoyed m

Maui_Butterfly, thanks for all the feedback and the additional information; what a great bonus! I love doing swings too, so I've been doing quite a few of those to begin with as well. I really appreciate your taking the time to share all of this; thank you again!

Maui_Butterfly, I was SO hoping that you'd drop by! I saw your testimonial on Anthony's site; great job, congratulations! I spend WAY too much time on his site every chance I get: for instance, I've watched every one of the Minute of Strength tutorials ;} I bought a 13lb and a 26lb bell - the 26lb-er I may just use for swings, though I'm debating returning that one and getting the same weight

Sundancer, it's not dumb at all; please don't say that! For some reason you just haven't been able to make the shift to move fully into your goal, that's all, and you'll have to find what that reason is; you just may not be ready on an emotional level to handle it full on for a length of time...and that's fine, though I know how frustrating it can feel to not meet a standard that you've set for y

Elakti and Sundancer, how interesting that I've been sharing that issue with you as well! I do manage to meditate sometimes, but not as often as I would like to at all. However, I also practice different kinds of meditation; it's not only when you sit and focus on the breath or a mantra, for example. I do walking and eating meditation, work on mandalas...even ironing is a form of meditation for m

Sundancer, I love when you share about your adventures with your little girl; she sounds like a sweetheart! You must let us know how the necklaces turn out, okay? If I'm not mistaken you've said that you've been in and out of raw for many years, now, and that you're aspiring to be totally raw - were you ever all raw before? And what is the reason why being 100% is so important to you? I'm just

Just came to say a cheery "hello!" and check to see how you both are doing... Just finished drinking my brekkie - a huge mugfull of apple-ginger juice - what a way to start the day! Wishing you both vibrant health! And hoping to hear some good news from you, Elakti; how did your interview go?

Oh...just thought about your commenting on your age, Sundancer; it ain't nothing but a number! My best friend is 16 years my senior - she'll be 52 in October - and she gives me a run for my money (of course she'll say I'm crazy, but she does)! People think she's my age: as for me, most people think I'm in my very early 20's, 24 at most, and since eating a raw diet I've been looking even younger!

Elakti, you are inspiring! And just take it a day at a time, okay? Just let it go and start again! I'm in on needing some "me" time as well; could do with a few days here by myself! Sundancer, great to hear that your friend and her place made it through safely!!! Really need to go, now! Hugs to you both... I LOVE having this support system!!!

Thank you so much for your comments, Sundancer; such a relief to have someone who understands how I'm feeling! ;} Especially not being able to read people easily / have a hard time with normal social stuff...thank God for my friend who understands that it's not just my being naive or anything, but that I just don't comprehend a lot of social cues, norms...even some facial expressions are hard for

This is such a timely, well-written post; thank you for taking the time to share! This is everything that I've been thinking and saying for a while, now. I've always believed in the wisdom of working slowly with yourself, and not being too rigid in one's thinking and approach...

Just finished sucking down a huge glass of pineapple-ginger-apple juice actually - been jonesing for some ALL afternoon! ;-} It is REALly good, especially if you have enough ginger in there to leave a little 'kick' behind...wonderful! And the sweet potato-beet-carrot one is...words truly escape me. Of course I throw greens in there - my little spin on the given recipe! For the past two morning

Elakti, I wish you all the best at your interview! Maybe there was a good reason you had that strong feeling about applying at that store after all...would'nt that be fantastic I know you've been itching to do some yoga, so am glad to see you finally got a chance to do so. If you need to cocoon yourself, do so; I'd love the chance to do so myself! Sundancer, your little one seems to have b

Made a quick market run this morning because I SO needed more fruit! Grabbed up a lot of mangoes, some apples (to juice) and a few other things. I also grabbed a couple of mamey sapotes to try as I've never had them before and they were calling to me! Wish they weren't that expensive, though! Did some work with the kettlebell yesterday and am even MORE in lustlove, if that's at all possible!

I'm so digging the Carrot-Spinach-Parsley one I did yesterday...I couldn't believe how refreshing it tast

It can be a tough call sometimes to make that decision to flow with what your body needs; it sounds like you do need to rest a little more to really expedite this cleansing process. Just to clarify the fruit / sugar thing...! I'm allergic to refined sugar, but while the sugars in fresh fruit don't bother me in the least, I can't jive with eating certain dried fruit like figs, dates, apricots, etc. I'm fine with prunes, though, and can eat those like there's no tomorrow, sometimes!
