Mono seems a bit too simple for me right now. Sometimes I try with citrus or mangoes, but I always end up finishing off with a banana or two. I seem to need to include a banana with every meal, but I don't like eating a meal of only bananas. Simpler is best, however, I must wholeheartedly agree. I got heavily into very complex salads for a while there, eating them at every meal. I would use 4

I dream of living in hawaii and growing fruit trees. I hadn't really thought about which island yet though! I figure any one is a great start. I've heard of something called island fever, does that really happen? (basically you start to feel almost claustrophobic living on an island) Or is that only on reeeaaallly little islands?

usually I will eat 5-7 times a day. I really enjoy mixed meals... like segmented ruby red grapefruit with a sliced banana and blueberries, or a mango with sliced banana and raspberries, mono meals aren't really as appealing at this stage in the game. around lunch I'll have a cucumber-celery juice. dinner I'll have a couple big handfuls of spinach with a lot of fruit on top. as far as fat, abou

you know, when I saw apple computers' new cell phone I wished they would make a juicer and a blender and revolutionize those markets also. They just make everything so sleek and beautiful. But since the odds of that are somewhere between slim and none, does anyone know of the best place online to buy a vitamix? I've done a little looking and $399 is the best so far. I've heard the white ones q

When I was a kid I would eat chapstick! Probably a little healthier than... maple syrup on scrambled eggs and bacon. Chili Cheese Fritos on a bagel with cream cheese. Pineapple Pizza? really commonplace I know, but it was my favorite pizza. I can't believe you liked head cheese that is just so ...gnarly.

I just finished my very first one, it was 95% black on the outside, and yielded to a gentle squeeze. It was one of the most wonderful food experiences I've ever had, to be honest. It was totally ripe and delicious, very dense and pink inside, like a red banana, but moister, and 100 times better. Thanks for the feedback, and I encourage everyone to pick at least one up if you are curious and can f

It appears to me you are driving yourself crazy with what ifs and needing to know every little detail about stuff. That's how we mess up the flow of life. Just relax, drink some celery juice each day, trust in life and let your questions disappear.

What is with all the negativity toward seedless fruit? Personally I wish the mad scientist behind it all would get to work on a seedless mango!

ooohh I really want one of these too. Decisions decisions. I will probably get the vitamix because it has the compact container (32 oz) as an option, but I prefer the look of the Blendtec. Whatever, it's so exciting when you get to buy something new that you really want! Next up an awesome Global knife set to better filet mangos and segment grapefruit.

Hi, does anyone eat these raw? I've never tried them, but I'm certainly curious as they look delicious, ripening alongside the cavendish bananas. However I've heard they need to be cooked, so I figured who better to clear it up than you all. Thanks.

Thank you David, that's very generous of you. I will remember your email. I looked on a map to see where Avon Park is,and I found it a little funny you have a "dinner lake".

Hello, I am relocating from San Diego in Socal to the Sarasota area, and as I just returned to raw foods, (specifically eating 80/10/10) I need to know some fruit spots! Any names and locs will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
