"Live and let live" is exactly what they (Rawg is a multiple personality, both rude, both unhelpful, one is slightly more literate) won't do - the "let live" part is very evident in everything they say, but I question too the "live" part - if Rawg doesn't want to leave and doesn't want to change their manners, my suggestion is that they start a raw diary thread. I ju

Well, I am really excited (and SCARED) about my fast, but it's time to open up to myself and give myself a gift. Treat myself to a rest, especially from toxic people and as many toxic situations as I can avoid. Had my last meal for a long time - still really farting from the fruit, so it makes it easier to think of just pure, clean liquid going in. I know when I wake up I'll be terrified. &quo

I know - I could drive myself crazy worrying about consciousness. And then worrying about being less than live myself if I don't eat other "live cells". There is a good book called THE GHOSTS OF EVOLUTION all about how fruits like avocadoes evolved symbiotically for the kind of macrofauna who are now extinct, the kind who could eat them whole! The fruits are the symbiots left behind aft

Thank you!!! I feel really good about not being by myself, and if things get bad, it'll make a good story! Love, Megs

Agreed - stop heckling people! When they ask further information of you, even, you are UNABLE to tell them. You just harangue people. What is your problem? It's not the spirit of this board to fire cannonballs at people (substance-less ones) because they eat pineapples or Raweos or carrots - are you capable of intelligently helping people to make decisions that such foods might be compromising th

I am just going 100% today and would like to kick it off with a long green fast. I've been eating fruit all day (well, 2 or 3 pears in addition to my usual daytime greens) and I just fart a lot. I know that flatulence is normal at first, but it feels so fermenty and I figure a long juice fast will buck me up and make me feel better. I don't really like sweet tastes and I like green juices. My

This subject interests me a lot - Bryan, how do the cells of, say, a fruit conduct respiration, either still on the tree or vine or off? What is the respiration of a fruit like? I try not to draw harsh lines between what is animate or even sentient and what is not, but how is a fruit from a tree alive in this sense - it is the living tree that metabolizes and respires, isn't it? I often think

By the way, Boyd, I am trying frozen wheatgrass juice - I am a bit uneasy about it because it is not in a fresh state - what I observe is rather contradictory. It feels MUCH more "alive" than powdered, but the powdered packs more nutritive punch and it feels that way, too. I think that the frozen has caused a small bit of fascinating skin detox, which the powdered has never had the aliv

I have HEARD it can be done during a long fast, or on a Living-foods diet very high in ASSIMILABLE greens, but in any case the body would have to go through a lot of detoxification BEFORE the healing and repair would be undertaken. It won't just leap right in with the healing, in my view - it needs to work on getting toxins out of the liver, heart, lungs, kidneys, FIRST - it attends to the life-o

Some grass powders have been heated above temperatures that would make them still considerable as "raw food" - it absolutely depends on the brand. GreenKamut brand is dried at 88 degrees Fahrenheit, and I use it when I travel, but there is a lot of disagreement about whether dried powders can be considered "alive". Most people say you can't call anything dried "alive"

Greenpeach, can you share with us the source for that amount of fresh-cut wheatgrass that is grown outside? That's over three pounds a day! I have been experimenting with fresh-frozen wheatgrass juice that is grown outside, allowing myself to be persuaded that it is still a "living food", although I'd never believe it in any other context. I feel uneasy about it, but my skin is getti

That's friendly of you - thank you! I hope I have success, too. I think that when one goes 100%, all one's devils come out. All the stuff comes up. It's difficult! I will report it as it goes along and I hope to inspire those who find it difficult and think that maybe they CAN'T do it. As they say, if I can do it, you can, too. I am just not quite certain which "way" is going

Very nice of you to say, Troy, but I am losing my patience - he just puts people down: to someone asking about raw oats, to whom others are trying to reply helpfully, he just rants, "Why would you want to eat oats?" And to someone needing a recipe for Raweos, when others are trying to reply considerately and supportively, he just gives him the strappado, like "Why would you want to

I will probably start a diary, but I just wanted to post "hi" here - my name is Megan and for a few years I have been raw throughout the day, eating (really, bingeing unwillingly) on vegan cooked for an evening meal. Today I am giving this addiction up. I just can't think clearly or have any energy to do things when I eat ANYTHING, so I always juice throughout the day (I prefer green ju

I am sorry to hear that, TroySantos - it's mildly unpleasant. As you can tell, Rawgetarian generally has a characteristic inability to write (also evinced by gonnabe100%) - I know him personally and, as greenie says, he doesn't give real information about anything, he just goes off on spiels that are unhelpful at best. He says pat things over and over, either here or in other media, but when p
