my next dish will be gazpacho! ideas? Add a little piece of Beet to the Gazpacho. It really makes for a nice color. Nice and healthy too. Greens tend to overwhelm the red in the tomatoes, so a little beet really helps. Don't put in too much then the flavor will change too much

I remember reading that Papain enzymes are extracted from pineapple stems. Finally I tried pulling all the leaves off the top of the pineapple. Your are left with a cone shaped pale green stem above the fruit. You can cut it up or just chew them up. It kind of digests the inside of your mouth so be careful. It doesn't have the acid of the fruit part. Some are quite tender, sort of like a

There seems to be a missing ingredient here. If you are healthier, you should have an increased ability to withstand insults from whatever. Many people seem to be weakened not strengthened by their raw food eating. This isn't the same as not noticing harmful things or not connecting them to the source. Not using perfumes, shampoos, household chemicals, etc because you recognize that they

You didn't say much about what specifically you were eating. While most people can lose rapidly and eat just about anything as long as its raw, others have to limit calorie dense foods. What you eat on weekends could be a problem too. Are you eating healthy cooked food? Or whatever? If you have food sensitivities, not eating them for several days could increase your negative response to the

Too much water? Do you shower? Wash clothes? Flush? When I lived in the 3rd world, I found that I could get by with 2 gallons for a shower. But that was dampen, scrub with soap, then rinse with a trickle. I assume you aren't using multiple gallons for sprouts, so why be so concerned? Or are you rinsing with bottled water? Ordinary filtered tap water should be fine. In fact I would be surp

As I understand it, the no load speed for a 2 hp,3 hp, or 3.5 hp blender will be about the same. The power consumed will be about the same too. The difference will be apparent under load. If you put the same mix in each, the higher powered ones will spin faster, applying more power. The faster it spins under load, the finer the results and the faster it's achieved. The difference between cheap

One of the the commercial Blendtek's has a 5 sided carafe(patented, I presume) that modifies the vortex. I haven't tried it, but it should introduce a lot less air into the mix. You could simulate this with a square carafe by sticking something down one side while blending. Of course, don't stick it so far you chop it up! My biggest issue with the Blendtek is the lack of direct control.

I saw this on the site. Some guy named Jeff Primack... "Juicing vs. Blending An interesting point that we have observed: Many of these health gurus that "juice" vegetables & fruits look unhealthy and get too many wrinkles. Most of the people we've met who juice for decades do not look the image of health. Why? They are getting an abundance of Vitamins, Minerals, & Enzy
