I read things like chasteberry, wild yam, black cohosh. but I think in raw forms these would be more effective.

is there a natural alternative to progesterone cream? I know it's for females but males can also use it... but is there something natural, and if possible more specifically for males?

you can use them in breads or cake like recipes. Use them with coconut, or ground or whole flax/chia, hempseeds. You can dehydrate the paste made of them after you put them in a blender to make a 'raw cracker or flatbread' or alternatively you can also just dry them and then grind them again into a 'nut/seed flour' that can also be used anywhere else, ie breads, soups or salad whatever. May also

probably, if you think of traditional dietary systems like ayruveda or TCM, I think salt and salty flavored food is good for specific functions/properties. I would think that when combined with nuts, some of the bitter properties can be somewhat balanced out.
Also, wouldn't something acidic also help to sprout nuts/seeds? I tend to add a pinch of salt and splash of ACV to the soak water of my

you know I've actually made flatbread with sprouted sesame paste. was actually quite good. I've been thinking of ways to replace grain/bean with nut/seeds. Which to me is very interesting.. and it seems that at the Tree of Life Institute they're experts at that. I got a lot of tips from them.

Well, according to Gabriel Cousens just staying under 100g of carbs a day. I'm unsure if this is net carbs. Another source I've read is to stay under 20g of net carb. This is the one I've followed before and it worked.
Net carbs is when you subtract the fiber from total carbohydrate count. There aren't certain foods which "keep one in ketosis", it's all about total net carbohydrate i

This is a C&P from "There is a Cure for Diabetes, Revised Edition"
note: I didn't include the references.
The Safety of a Mild Ketogenic Diet
Fasting and ketogenic diets, in general, are metabolically similar in that they are usually mildly ketogenic. Ketogenic diets may be mild, moderate, or severe, depending upon the diet. I measured the urine ketones in a group of faster

well I just came across a lot of info about ketosis and the use of moderate fat (25-45%) in raw vegan diets. This was all in the book "There is a Cure for Diabetes"
I dont know if i should post it here but it's very relevant.
SO really, ketogenic or what he calls mild ketogenic diets can be very healing. Atleast in the short term. For diabetics this is what he suggests. But he sta

Gabriel Cousens' book "There is a Cure for Diabetes revised" just came out. It looks good, a wealth of information there. Also with Conscious Eating, Spiritual Nutrition, Rainbow Green Livefood Cuisine it all makes a great collection.
His ideas are what really got me started on the raw food lifestyle.

But yes I think I would agree with most of Tony Wrights ideas. I'm not sure we were at one point all vegan but there's no denying the relationship humans and all other animals have with plants.

I know there may be poeple who will say that there have been people who have gotten ketoacidosis on a ketogenic diet. I have to say though there are many variables to play around with on a ketogenic diet.. why couldn't there be an optimal ketogenic diet which avoids ketoacidosis? Could there be one by moderating specific amounts of nutrients (micro/macro) in the diet?

Well to me it's something I've been wanting to test out for so long. Due to the the initial "detox/transition" phase troubles and fighting with addictions I haven't been able to really. But I think I am getting to a point where I can be satisfied ith a daily routine I've come up with and which specific foods to eat, a plan.
It doesn't sound tastey though I guess that's the problem?

It's also interesting to me that the Gabriel Cousens' diet has 3 phases, the first phase could technically be ketogenic. In fact all 3 phases can be if done that way but it's just that the limitations in the first phase more easily can get you there.
And coupled with a sproutarian based diet.. theoretically I could become superhuman?

I often hear of people with inedia. I wonder if a key to inedia is also this.
Build up on micronutrients, doing a ketogenic diet... eventually one requires less food.. or minimal. Depending of course how much exercise you do and stress I guess.

Do you have to make sure you get just enough amount of carbs? Not under 20g a day not over 20g of carbs every 4 hrs. and what kind of carbs? Fruit carbs? or starchy carbs?

I am wondering if ketosis is KEY in the success of calorie restricted diets. Seems like all I've read about ketosis according to paleo low carb and/or calorie restricted diets is that makes people feel superhuman. Calorie restricted diet also do the same but I wonder if there is not much known as to how to get the optimal effects or do it in the optimal way.

As coco mentioned, the terra cotta plate method seems to be good for greens only. The seeds would most likely be hard to harvest from the plate if the sprouts are so small.

I think one only really needs to worry about protein "completeness" when grain/beans are being used as the sole or major source of protein. If you're getting your protein mostly from beans.. it's a common suggestion to complement them with rice. It's also a traditional thing to mix together rice and beans.
Otherwise I think most other sources of protein are pretty complete it's just

yea raw meal can be made in a blender, it's just like an energy soup but flavored. Sprouts of many different kinds, fruits, algaes, etc. Wouldn't be fermented though, and maybe that could be done? It's not great food combining though.
The only thing missing would be any other added 'raw' vitamins and minerals.
I've been making pretty good sprouted sesame and hemp mylks lately, and mixing al

I have never used baking soda for pH regulation but it seems like a great idea to use it to alkalize acid water from already filtered tap water.
BTW I don't know where baking soda comes from, is it considered as natural as say, salt? Can you find baking soda in nature as you would find salt or a natural chemical byproduct or some sort? Is it an ancient alchemical product?

well I think it's like, nuts/seeds are generally more acidic. Generally all the seeds grains and legumes are acidic and when you sprout them they become less acidic. Ie either neutral or just less acidic. You do always want to balance how much nut/seeds you get with greens. And as for fruit or sugar I've read some people get an acid reaction (acid forming?) to sugar based on the condition of the
