I have been doing raw for 8 days now and today my taste-buds WOKE UP! The fruit I had for breakfast was absolutely DELICIOUS! It's the same fruit I've been eating all along, but it never tasted this good! Have any of you had this experience?

Hi, I was just wondering how long these pickles will keep? We have LOTS of cucumbers and I normally would can them in the boiling water bath to preserve them for the winter. But, since we have begun this raw journey, it would be nice to know how to keep them until next season. Keeping them in the refrigerator would take up more space than I can spare. Has anyone tried some type of dehydr

Can pickling be done raw? I've always done pickles by preserving them in a boiling water bath. Wouldn't that be considered cooking them?

We have so many nice cucumbers coming out of our garden this year, which have made our raw food eating experience a joy. This being our first year of eating raw, I don't know what to do to preserve them for use during the winter. We have a dehydrator. Is that the best way? How would I use them after I dehydrate them? Any suggestions or recipes would be nice. Thank You!

Thank you for the encouragement banana who. I have such a large amount of greens coming out of the garden right now. So much more than we can eat or freeze, and I don't want to can them, so I tried dehydrating them. I put them in the dehydrator whole for a little while. (We have an Excalibur so there is plenty of room.) Then I take them out and crush them into a bowl. The parts that aren't fin

Okay, so here is an update. Although the 100% raw didn't happen, some progress is being made. Breakfast is about 95% raw. We are REALLY enjoying fruit smoothies in the morning. I use 1/3 C. raw oats, 1 banana, 1 apple (or orange), 1/2 c. water, and 1 scoop of Vanilla Naturade Soy Meal replacer. (That's the 5% not raw. The milk shake taste is sooo nice. If someone has another suggestion, I

We have a "Miracle Wheat Grass Juicer" Model MJ 400 that we have only used once. It has been in storage for a few years and we want to offer it to someone who needs it. It has two screens of different sizes (one with larger holes for juicing soft fruits), and a rubber pad on the support foot of the juicer to protect the counter or table surface to which it is clamped. We saw one on Crai

I have spent this entire day reading the success stories of raw vegans and watching YouTube videos on living raw foods. Well..... I am making a commitment to going 30 days, 100% raw...beginning right now! I truly believe that this is the way to go. Why would man want to improve on God's beautiful creation by killing it with heat? Ah... because it tastes good! Is that a good reason? NO!

Hi! I have a question for Rawlion, I would like to know what you mean by "follow strictly the 1/3 1/3 1/3 ratio thing." Thanks.

Hi folks, I have been lingering around this site for a few days and enjoying reading all of the wonderful posts that have been shared. I have so much to learn and I hope to continue with this process. My husband and I have been vegans for about 15 years and are just starting to become interested in raw foods. We've started drinking green smoothies and doing things like soaking our nuts and
