Hi Tawny, So glad that my plan is working for you. I did try to choose very easy recipes for exactly the reasons that you specified. I don't like complicated recipes!! You'll have a leg up on me, because I wasn't vegan before I went raw. Have an amazing time in Palm Springs and Disney!! All the best to you! Laura-Jane PS: I would love to check out your blog! Best cracker recipe ever, in my opinion: Raw flax cracker recipe Inspired by the Boutenkos! 1 cup walnuts (soaked for one hour or so and then rinse ‘em) 1 cup sunflower seeds (soaked for one hour or so and then rinse ‘em) 1 cup almonds (soaked for one hour or so and then rinse ‘em) 1 tomato 1 cup red onion (chopped) 3 tablespoons flaxseed 2 teaspoons sea salt (very important!

You must be busy! What are you studying? I have a raw food plan that I put together that uses very basic ingredients and simple recipes. The plan comes with enough recipes for 30 days (and it comes with a recipe book). You can check out more details here: Seriously, you must be busy. I don't have any children, but I am also going to school and working 9-5 and I am going a little bananas wi

I live in Canada, but we moved to a rural area on Prince Edward Island where the cost of living was way cheaper. We sold a tiny condo in an urban area and we were able to buy a house on 60 acres with the proceeds. We don't have a mortgage and we have a huge veggie garden. We blogged about our journey here: .

Just watched "Don McKay," I'm not sure if it's my favourite but I really enjoyed it. Don't read reviews (spoilers - you want to go in cold), just watch. (But here's the trailer if you must watch it and ruin the movie!)

In my experience you will level out and find your natural body weight. Just make sure you're eating lots of good fats, avocados, nuts, coconut oil, etc. Especially coconut oil, you can feel how fatty it is when you're eating it, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. And remember, portion sizes are huge. Good luck and keep us posted.

I am extremely cheap. I spent $400 on a Vitamax and it was worth every penny. Trust me! I use my Vitamix EVERY DAY, multiple times a day. It'll pay for itself in use.

I've never tried this because I'm really cheap. But I really want some!! Sirova is great. I've never bought any of her stuff from her store, but she has a lot of good recipes.

Sweet halvah for dessert! Requires a specialty grinder, but it sounds like you've got something that works. I use a coffee grinder (which I use specifically for small nuts and seeds.) Halvah is quick and easy. I often make it if I'm yearning for something sweet after dinner.

Yes, I thought that chick-peas were a no-no in the raw food world.

Jeez, guys, just use your food processor! And blend! Takes a long time but works great IMO.
