IM not sure Bob's red Mill is raw. I called them I think and they told me it was not raw, it had to be heat processed. The only really raw oats I've found were from my local farmer's market and they are AWESOME!!! I'd like to find non-sweet oat recipes though.

coco I agree with you too, but it's really not all about that at all. That's largely a misconception but yea some sects do go really extreme and really ascetic.

well.. kung fu is the more internal of the arts.. more about character development, etc. that's why I chose it. Don't get me wrong though it's still bad-ass and effective as hell..

well I've gotten effects from eating raw string/green beans. Not sugar snap peas or snowpeas. But here's a thread aboutt them: If you eat a little it's probably ok, and if they are young. But mature they are poisonous, or eaten too much even if young. When I ate them, I could eat a little, but the taste was a bit off. After eating more I figured the taste was off for a reason... and t

fasting is ok actually... at least for me.. intermittent fasting of a period of 24 hrs once a week (or one more day if it's fine with u). Timing it so u stop eating for example at a certain time and then eating the next day at the same time. It can be more or less the same. Some people say 15 hrs is good. I like more tho cos that way the effects are a bit more dramatic but u can start there. Star

it seems these are the only fruits according to nutritiondata that have omega 3s Papaya is not listed though, I saw in another article that papaya may be the only fruit with more omega 3s than 6 in it.

do you really get omega 3s from fruits? what about ALA in specific? I always try to eat a minimum of flax seeds which is about 3 tablespoons a day for the ALA, and then some DHA supplement. But now reading that DHA can possibly converted much more readily in vegans from ALA than non-vegans.. then I guess simple flax seeds can do. So what fruits do have omega 3s then? I know fructose converts

cool thanks for the advice .. I will try them when I go again for the workout. As for when to eat before exercise... I find I can digest food rather slowly so... if eating fruits then I guess 2-4 hrs before exercise and if melons then , 1.5-2 hrs? And especially mono-eating fruits ie one type of at a time. Whenever I mix bananas with another fruit it goes bad.. even if it's the same 'catego

OK.. well perhaps lifelong breatharianism is extreme. Also it will take a lot of preparation and in fact some sort of rewiring of the human body. It is quite dangerous.. but I do believe it's not impossible for things like shorter term breatharian states like the bigu state in chinese culture.

well I dont know why but I thought I posted about how it seems I actually cured my allergy problem by eating raw real fermented saurkraut from the farmer's market. BUt yea.. thanks guys!!! I am really glad I made this thread and you all helped me out. Although for some reason I thought of this before and actually tried this before but I guess I needed to stick with it. I still get minimal alle

i guess it just kind of discourages me to see leaders in the raw food movement sort of being so opposed to each other and it leaves me like "are you serious!?"

i do not think breatharianism is impossible. There have been studies recently on an indian yogi who can reportedly go without food for long periods of time ie years. His name is Prahlad Jani. You can search him on google. There have also been studies in the Chinese "bigu" phenomenon which is basically not needing food after having practiced lots of qigong and meditation. Here are

well.. I noticed that when I eat dates before I workout I get SO much pain in my muscles. I suspect it's the lactic acid buildup from eating so many simple sugars. Besides that they give me lots of gas too. Maybe I eat too much. What really is the best thing to eat? I'm not an endurance trainer I do martial arts, so I guess carbs are the best to get, but since simple sugars gives me so much pa

I just think some of the things you say against others in a condescending disrespectful and insulting way would seem arrogant. One can 'speak from the heart' and express without all the other stuff you know? It would help me take you more seriously.

well it is a lot of fruits.. and ones that aren't even considered bad for those who are sensitive to histamine. I do take maca powder, and I ginseng. Only thing I can do is drink lots and lots and lots of water, while continuing to take the maca and even some astralagus, and multivitamins. As for the fruits that have been giving the allergies but are supposed to be ok on a low histamine diet a

also there are enzymes in plant foods which can serve us. I think some of those who dispute the enzyme argument go a bit into the extreme. Yea maybe not all of us have a deficiency. Yes some or a lot of the enzymes in plant foods serve the plant, not us, but there are still enzymes that can serve us.
