Hi, I am reading it again. I do understand and accept the idea of it, much of it makes sense to me but I can't seem to get around the fact that in the back of my mind I find it hard to believe that man existed on mostly fruit, ever. I mean fruit is so seasonal so how could man have lived on mostly fruit? Am I missing something? Is this all based on the assumption that man would have fi

Beer porno?! ha.. I guess I need to read more on the site. I have missed this one! I sure do need sleep, I am really tired and it's very early in the day for me to feel this way. Now I seem to also be itchy all over. I know our skin is our largest organ so I guess it's normal to do some detox thur your skin~ I HATE itching though. I feel like my skin is crawling. I could handle a

Did anyone have itching in their hands and fingers? It's strange. I've noticed this often today and my ears also. I would like to hear what others experienced! I am on day 4 of about 75-85% Raw. (totally Vegan).. coming off a very high fat extremely processed low carb (lots of meat and processed deli cheese and meats) diet.

I use Valarian and Kava. I and all the women in my family have had insomnia for years. The combo of Valarian and Kava really helps me more than anything I have ever tried.

I need book recommendations (I spend so much time reading and researching on the computer and I also have a home based business and I really need actual books for a change). I don't mind recipes in the book but what I am really wanting to read is people's experiences going Raw. What to expect with weight loss and detox, how to deal with everyday situations with friends and family, etc. I d

I am still very new at this and wondered what the thought is on frozen fruits (like blueberries for green shakes) and frozen corn in particular. I have several packages of frozen fruit in the freezer and corn and green beans. and am wanting to use them. Do you think any of the vitamins and enzymes survive the freezing? I know fresh is best but wondered what everyone thought of using/buy

Good Morning to you all, I am just getting back to Raw after quite a while off. Last I remember it was actually hard to find truly raw almonds as the US started insisting on them being pasteurized here. I used to order them on line from a company that said they were truly raw - I think they came from Spain. Are all our almonds from the US still pasteurized? That has not changed ri

I am taking milk thistle and a few liver juices. Can you talk more about bitters. Anything in particular? BackAgain, Reading 80/10/10 right now thank you! I do know what you mean ab

Hi Back again, Yes.. lots of nuts, avo, crackers made in my dehydrator with seeds/nuts. Alot of raw hummas and black sesame tahini on the crackers. I think just too much fat. I did have green drinks often and think I will need to add more veggies and green drinks and eat less fat and gourmet raw (I loved all the amazing foods I could make raw but I think got away from the reason I was d

Last time (I was high raw - about 90%) for about 2 months and got systemic candida. (way too much fruit and dates and Agave). I really need some advice. I think I could do much less fruit in my green drinks, maybe just one piece per drink but I really need ideas for breakfast. I was totally a fruit eater exclusively until about 1pm every day. I guess Raw nuts would be good but I need

The last two weeks I have been very sick. I am coming around slowly and want / need "warm" (can be spicy - but also ideas of foods-soups warmed in dehydrator) foods ideas. I am doing lots of juice but really want some kind of soup or casserole like idea. What do you have when you are craving warmth?! Have only been 50% raw over the last month. craving garlic and onions allot a

I wondered if anyone here is doing this? I am on day 4 (committed to just 14 days right now) and would love to talk with some others that are doing this. So far so good. I am actually suprised how easy it has been so far except detoxing (flu like feeling) for a couple of days. This is my first Juice adventure ever. I am doing a blog if anyone wants to check it out. I sure could

Hi Heather.. Way to go so far! I am starting day six. I have the same issues with dinners.. I have made a Pad Thai style shredded salad with ginger carrot pureed dressing and had veggie avo nori wraps with wasabi and pickled ginger a couple of nights.. I also made some sundried tomato, garlic, lemon, flax crackers and cashew hummus (still not sure where to get truly raw cashews!) one

Wondered where any of you buy nuts on line that are truly Raw. I understand now that all our almonds in the US are now pasteurized. I read many rawist are ordering them from sites that get them from Spain.? Also wondered about Cashews. I see there is some debate as to rather Cashews can be considered truly raw since they use steam on them? Anyone know where to get any truly raw Cashews

Hi my rawsome friends! I am on day three of being as close to 100% raw as I can. (herbs and tea are so far my only cooked or toasted ingredients). I am sort of flying by the seat of my pants. I am very new to this and am reading voraciously and learning as I go. I wanted to know if I could get some advise. I am feeling like I am getting the flu. I am sure this is detox and wondered ho

Hi, I am brand new to the Raw world and am sort of learning as I go. the more I read the LESS I know! I have more questions EVERY day! One thing I can't seem to find is how to store raw nuts and seeds. I did a search here and could not come up with any particular posts re: this. Can they be just kept in the fridge or do they need to be frozen and if so how long does everyone think the
