For me, eating mainly fruit for breakfast and lunch works really well to keep my energy up - no afternoon slumps. Sometimes I will add greens to the fruit (i.e. green smoothie). If I want to eat veggies and other savory things I keep it mostly for dinner when my energy needs are lower and the day is winding down. Works for me!

Wow. . . anything that needs that much work to be edible probably shouldn't be eaten.

I do okay with fruit and greens in a smoothie - if I throw in some fat it usually spells trouble.

I didn't want greens or veggies this summer - just mostly fruit. Now I'm starting to crave greens, veggie juices and root veggies. And I'm sure I'll be on a citrus kick in a month or so.

129. Re: fall
Well, I was at the market today and the apples were darn disappointing. Anywhere from 1.49 a pound to 3.00 a pound an really crappy looking. Almost seems like they were last year's models. Oh well, maybe next week.

Yes, I love apples too. Every year for two weeks only I can get a kind called "sunrise". They are most awesome! I dig an organic macintosh apple - tastes a million times better than a conventional one. We had a macintosh tree when I was growing up. When I moved away I remember buying some macintosh apples (conventional) at the grocery store. I remember thinking - hey! this doesn

I haven't seen any good ones in the stores yet. And it drives me crazy when apples are more expensive per pound than chicken. Ah well, hopefully soon.

I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of knowing that she gets under my skin. I'm with Sapphire on this . . . I would need to examine why it is that I've given this person so much power. Whatever you choose, I hope it all goes well.

I need inspiration, motivation, passion, desire, want . . . . My life has changed a lot for the first time in many, many years. My last child has left the nest, my 8 eight year ‘dating’ relationship ended and my first cat of 20 years passed away (I do have other wonderful cats at home). All of this has taken place in the last 9 months or so. I am 42 years old and female. I’ve spe

They kind of look like Italian prune plums in a huge steel bowl to me. Either way - YUM!

For the ginger root, I keep it wrapped in a damp cloth in the fridge. Seems to do the trick. Maybe you could share some of the ginger root with friends so that you don't have so much and someone else can buy it next time? Just a suggestion. I always cut the core out of the pineapple before I blend it - too hard for my blender. Hope this is helpful!

Weighed myself yesterday morning - as I suspected I gained about 10 pounds. I think most of it is water weight from adding grains into my diet when mom was here and besides it's 'happy time' (for some reason that's what I call menses) On Saturday I had about 36 ounces of liquid sunshine (pineapple and orange juice) when I was hungry and that wasn't until about 1:00 pm. Later I had a few appl

I haven't been here for a while. Mom came to visit. Got off track a bit. I lost touch with my routine. I guess I'm just used to living alone. It was a great visit - she's gone back home now. I've been feeling sluggish and out of touch and I've gained some weight. I'm kind of bloated as well. Ah well, time to get back in the swing of things. I'm going to gear up for another juice fast.

I have 4 cats. 2 of them absolutely hate each other. I'm trying some Holly in their drinking water. We'll see if it is helpful.

April 21, 2008 Odd things today. Not sure what’s going on. I woke up this morning and my right eye was all bloodshot. It isn’t sore – it feels kind of dried out. Nothing is swollen. My left eye is fine. I’ve done nothing different to my face as far as soap or anything like that. Food allergy? Hmmmm. I don’t know. Girl troubles today – spotting. That’s odd too. Iâ€

April 20, 2008 Good rebounder workout this morning. The abs and pecs were a little bit sore after yesterday’s fun. I have been consistent with the rebounding, lemon juice in water and dry skin brushing for 3 weeks. Had my usual liquid sunshine for breakfast. Lunch was a mixed green salad with some sprouts, tomato, carrot and cucumber. Dinner was black grapes, then a few strawberries.

April 19, 2008 It is currently -12 with a wind chill factor of -22. Nice. It snowed all day. It is supposed to snow all day tomorrow and the next day. I did not leave the house – I did not even open the door to the outside. I slept in way late this morning – 8:15. Did a killer rebounder workout and some squats, pushups and crunches. I think I’m going to be a wee bit sore tomorro

April 18, 2008 Today was the second day of food. I had pineapple/orange juice this morning. I really love this stuff! A few hours later I had some black grapes. They were very tasty. I ate them really slowly and chewed and chewed and chewed until there was no flavor left. I got bored of eating. I had vegetable juice for lunch – tomato, carrot, celery, zucchini, cucumber and cilant

Thank you for the post Soraya! I don't mind being small breasted anymore. I just wish I would loose more on my butt to be better proportioned. There are two things I really like about being small busted - I don't jiggle much when I work out and guys look into my eyes when they talk to me. LOL!

April 17, 2008 Day 10 – pruneage! I had the most incredible pineapple and orange juice for breakfast – it really is amazing stuff. I’m sure I could solely live off of it for a while. I broke my fast at lunch time with about 185 grams of prunes that had been soaking in water since the previous night. I ate about 7 prunes at lunch time and was completely stuffed for a good three ho

April 16, 2008 Day 9 – haven’t stopped yet I woke up this morning feeling quite blasé. I had my usual lemon water, did the usual skin brushing and within moments of bouncing on the rebounder felt a million times better. I dug my parka back out from the back of the closet – it was cold this morning – I guess it’s not time to put it away yet. It is supposed to snow and be a high
