I've never seen whole hemp seeds that would sprout, only the roasted & salted version. Could you tell me where the sproutable hempseed can be bought? Thanks!
What I am told is that sproutable hemp is illegal to sell because the cops don't want you growing hemp plants and then hiding true marijuana

Some rice protein powders are made from sprouted rice. I'd say that makes all the difference for those concerned about acid & alkaline. Sprouting alkalinizes seeds & beans & grains, as far as what I have heard, anyway. Maybe it's not a whole food and not totally natural, but sprouted brown rice protein powder is rather nice for a lift once in a while.

Thanks, juicerkatz. I do see people, tho, trying their Norwalks once or twice, then trying to sell them. I'd never do that. I'd stick with it till I could make a go of it.

Oh, how I wish you lived next door to me. I'd take those shells off your hands! I save my nut shells and put them through my old vitamix blender till they are well powdered, then put them in the garden. They help with drainage and since the pieces are so tiny they eventually break down into humus. Hot damn, I'd kill for your nutshells.

Well, I have a different take on this. I used to donate until about 1984; as a matter of fact they even gave me a little silver pin for "all" my donations. I have slightly odd blood in that if I ever "needed" a donation it should be negative blood; but what I donate is considered positive. How 'bout them apples...neutral blood!

The soon-to-be-compulsory compact fluorescents (curly bulbs) don't save energy at all.
Old-fashioned light bulbs (incandescents) give off a fair bit of heat. So when you replace all your bulbs with the stupid curlies, you are cooling your room down. In turn, you turn up the thermostat. It's been proved and even without proof it's logical.
