Could you tell me where the sproutable hempseed can be bought? Thanks! What I am told is that sproutable hemp is illegal to sell because the cops don't want you growing hemp plants and then hiding true marijuana

Not really an obligation, huh? Well, technically speaking, that may be true, but try telling that to the party holding your mortgage.

Some rice protein powders are made from sprouted rice. I'd say that makes all the difference for those concerned about acid & alkaline. Sprouting alkalinizes seeds & beans & grains, as far as what I have heard, anyway. Maybe it's not a whole food and not totally natural, but sprouted brown rice protein powder is rather nice for a lift once in a while. Coco - re whole hemp seed.

Thanks for info, folks! I used to eat gobs of cooked kombu, wakame, etc. I cannot see myself consuming them raw, though. What a putrid thought! Does anyone here actually eat raw seaweed? Dulse is okay, but everything else...

Are you saying we never have any right to reject anybody? If a really creepy person, someone with a justifiably bad reputation, runs after me for friendship, and I say no thank, I'm "acting out" something that happened to me 40 years ago? I don't think so. Regarding your family member, no one can give you much advice or perspective without knowing all the details. I have a mean br

Thanks, juicerkatz. I do see people, tho, trying their Norwalks once or twice, then trying to sell them. I'd never do that. I'd stick with it till I could make a go of it.

Resentments and hatred are emotions, that's all. You can't control your emotions. You can control how you express them, and must do so, but nevertheless they are still inside and Almighty God Himself decides when they will go. Not me, not you. Juicerkatz spoke thus: " I'm taking about decent folks here, who did not deserve to suffer the injustices that were done to them..."

There has been more baloney written & spoken about forgiveness than you can imagine. Forgiveness isn't something you "do". It is something that happens when God decides you have suffered enough from your attachment to the bad memories. One morning you wake up and you realize that you can think about the cruelty committed against you and not be angry or upset at all. It just goes

Oh, how I wish you lived next door to me. I'd take those shells off your hands! I save my nut shells and put them through my old vitamix blender till they are well powdered, then put them in the garden. They help with drainage and since the pieces are so tiny they eventually break down into humus. Hot damn, I'd kill for your nutshells.

And if you donate a kidney to someone else, what do you do if your remaining kidney goes kapoot, and the person you "saved" dies a few months after your generous donation, just to add insult to injury? Why did the universe give you two kidneys if you "need" only one? Just because you can walk, talk & chew gum with ony one kidney doesn't mean that the other doesn't serv

Would you open minded folks put any limits at all on exchange of body parts that keeps people alive who in some cases have clearly reached their limit? Not in law, but in your own personal opinions as to what goes and what crosses the line. Just for the sake of discussion. I would not donate a body part for my own children or anyone else. While I am scared to die and even more frightened of lo

I don't know a thing about LED bulbs, coco. Where can I get some info on them? In the meantime, we are buying cases of the old ones. As far as the energy arguments go, I'd say we should use lighting judiciously.

Well, I have a different take on this. I used to donate until about 1984; as a matter of fact they even gave me a little silver pin for "all" my donations. I have slightly odd blood in that if I ever "needed" a donation it should be negative blood; but what I donate is considered positive. How 'bout them apples...neutral blood! I'm not so young any more and over the ye

Prana, could you please tell me what brand your coffee grinder is and where you got it? Gracias! I've never owned one but I really need something to grind hard spices as well as other things (not coffee, tho). I use the scrapings (seeds + stringy stuff) from winter squashes & pumpkins to make a milk and it is so good. Not unlike what "erry" mentioned above, but I use a bit of

Mercury in our topsoil? Yes, that's a worry, too. It all goes together. The care we have to take over a broken LIGHTBULB, that's like those expensive shoes that cost $300 that come with a DVD telling you how to wear them! So someone broke a mercury thermometer and they can still walk, talk & chew gum? Well, my dad started smoking at the age of 7, not 17, that's SEVEN years of age,

Well, if you are truly broke, maybe you could ask a friend for a little bit of his/her Oregano Oil. It will work. The oils you listed aren't necessarily strong enough for lice. Best of luck.

That is a truly shocking statistic. And then there's millions of children who take antibiotics probably more than once a year for ear infections, etc., setting them up for chronic illness thru destruction of healthy intestinal bacteria. It's a fallen world.

Just save your pennies and buy a whole ****load of old fashioned bulbs. What are "they" going to do, demand entry into everyone's home to see if they have the politically incorrect type of bulbs in their sockets? Feh!

Why did the US government decide to come up with this bill in the first place? What sort of serious problems were occurring that made it necessary? Anyway, I'd keep my eyes on the Svalbard seed bank in Norway.

The soon-to-be-compulsory compact fluorescents (curly bulbs) don't save energy at all. Old-fashioned light bulbs (incandescents) give off a fair bit of heat. So when you replace all your bulbs with the stupid curlies, you are cooling your room down. In turn, you turn up the thermostat. It's been proved and even without proof it's logical. I am planning to soon buy a few cases of incand
