Thanks coco, of course I mean to start experimenting with solid foods. we did not to stop breastfeeding at all with the first tooth. I breastfeeded my children well over a year and it is for me a most cherished memory. As for menstruating, first I think there would be a lot to say about this debilitating event in our woman life. For me, to start menstruating ( sorry I know this is not an "

yes, annex, quite odd. For "me too" it does not happen every time. let's say often enough though for me to quit eating those fruits. And it happens on an empty stomach too, so most of the time in the late morning. Nothing seems to bother me if fruits are eaten after other foods (I mean I would not digest so well but it would not be painful) At first I though the culprits fruits were n

the same for me with seedless grapes, pears, watermelon... Sometimes the pain is very intense and I have to lay down or stay still for a little while. So I tried to avoid those kind of fruits. I came to think that it was too much sugar all at once in my stomach but I don't understand why the shoulder pain. Oh, just want to say something more : organic local black grapes don't do that bad e

I got leg cramps too. Glad to know about the magnesium. I will try to add more seeds. I had suppressed it from my meals because of the fat.

Blue butterfly, A mother-to-be should eat healthy, yes. But not only for the baby! For herself too!!! Because the child will take everything from her body. Most often, deficiencies will only appear after the delivery (problems with teeth, etc...). So it is always good to be cautious. I breast-fed my two children over a year. After that time, they needed solid food - The coming of teeth is n

Mislu, I too hear you. Hope you feel better today. Volonteering to help others is very effective to uplift one self, then we stop lookink at our problems and most often things around appear with a new perspective. Blessings Cynthia

I just thought how it would be nice and useful to pool together all our favorite info or just quotes we like. here a few of mine: On raw (and food): 1. " Exercise then eat". 2. " Don't kill hunger before it's born". 3. " Long meals make short lifes" 4. " it is foolish to discuss with our stomach 'cos it has no ears" Quotes A. "Things do n

A more substantial lunch would carry you well into the night without you being so hungry. Otherwise your body tries to catch up later what it didn't get during the day. What I remember from the 80-10-10 book (among other things): juicy fruits in the morning ( or nothing at all) sweet, nourishing fruits for lunch salad or greens, and citrus fruits at night hope this helps blessings, Cynt

hi kit, here one way you can handle it : decide that you will eat whatever is tempting you AFTER you have eaten all kind of raw food you have around ( nice things though!!). Big chance the bulk of your hunger will be quite gone after that so the candies, or other cooked food, won't be able to fuel your cravings so much and you will find yourself at peace and not wanting them (whatever cooked) af

I'm just back from grocery shopping, with bags and bags of pineapples, pears, apples, bananas and plenty other nice fresh produces. While I was there, I bought all I could of raw food. Towards the end, however, I stared at a big potato chips bag... thinking how nice it would be to eat it with my kids ( I rarely buy any, even for them). It's halloween today. Then, I thought maybe I should go b

rainforest, a sense of failure? well, maybe. Athough when one fells drab and void, all we've already accomplished in life seems worthless, I like Bryan's words and Kwan's . I believe too that as the body is healing, the mind is healing too, trowing and melting away all that is not itself. Zest for life IS life afterall. dear everyone, I feel lucky to be able to count on your experiences. It's

I'm very touched this morning by all your kindness. Thanks so much for all you advices. Somehow, it had escaped me that a inner feeling of void might probably be a lack of (mental) energy. As a way for the self to protect oneself. It is interesting and bring me to think differently. In the past, I made the link pretty much between anger, fiery moods, and digestive regularity. The picture is get

the lack of zest for life. yes, that are the words I was looking for to express what I am going through. One thing i realize for sure : after six weks raw ( 3 weeks ago - I ate few days cooked since!!!) the inner intuition was perceptible and clear as the coming of an old friend hidding inside me. How is it that I was not able to continue longer 100% raw - too bad. Till now my longer time raw is

That feeling has been creeping more and more into my life since I started to experiment the raw diet two years ago.( maybe only a coincidence?) I would not say I'm depressed or down, no. It is just that nothing seems appealing anymore...Is it emotional detox? lack of vitamins? Lack of stimulants? (I never was a coffee addict, only a sugar addict) Nothing's worth trying. I always have been

I read often here and there that grains "are acidifying because of their phytic acids. Also they contain opioids, which make them addictive." Bryan Does quinoa contains opioids too? and/or phytic acids? I enjoy eating it sprouted, over a tomato salad. I am wandering if it is addictive when "soaked and/or sprouted" thanks everyone for all info you might have. blessi

I will check about the potassium-sodium thing - thanks for this precious info! Right now, I'm down to waking up once a night so there is some improvement I have been 100% for six weeks then 2 weeks raw or so, and now back to 100% for 2 weeks. I'm thirsty only when I eat cooked, otherwise I'm days and weeks without drinking water. So the pees are not related to that. Karennd, please would you te

this tread is very interesting.I dont need water either cos fresh fruits are so watery, I'm never thirsty. But that means also a lot of visits to the bathroom ( seems my body cant deal with all that water!!). Even at night I have to wake up two or three times. Someone having the same experience? I hope this will go away though -- It's more relaxing to sleep through the whole night. Cynthia
