It's easy to feel your sweet and ardent sunshine behind your words. Oh, lovely you! Gut instinct tells me you are working with a stressed thyroid. I could have signed my name to you post at one time. You might want to look into that. If your thyroid is low, your adrenals are probably stressed too. I use both an natural adrenal support and now only need 1/2 grain (down from 2.5!!) thyroid daily

I used to eat a lot of grapes, pineapples, dried fruits and such - especially grapes. I found that when I decided to delete high glycemic fruits - especially grapes - it made all the difference in the world in my blood sugar. I was eating all the high glycemics - melons, pineapple etc. Blood sugar hell - and craving hell. Some people do fine on them. Not me. You'll have to experiment. Now I e

Is there a reason you do not eat nuts and fat? That is how I stabilize my blood sugar. My body needs that. Not every moment, and if I eat too much - yech! The deepest part of me would like to ask you if you would be willing to surrender your care about your weight for just awhile - put it on the altar and let it burn. Focus on exploring finding that balance, so that your blood sugar does st

I can't lose the weight either, no matter what. The Tsh's are normal now - can't lose the weight anyway. Wish I had advice and answers for you. One tiny piece of the puzzle you might consider - different thyroid supps (natural) work for different people, so I understand. If you have a chiro that does muscle testing - you might have him/her test you for Armour and see if it is optimum to your over

I know the feeling exactly. But that's the way it's been for me my whole life. I am looking forward to seeing if minusing the little offenders makes a difference.

We were probably shopping at the same time! And I've got clover sprouts and alfalfa's growing in their little sprout houses. And parsley up the wazoo - I love parsley. I'm rather hoping that this goitrogenic piece of the puzzle makes a big diff. It could. That would be so neat. I still haven't figured out if chard is thyroid-evil. But it is the same family as spinach sooo..... Let us

selling larger bottles. Not so ridiculously pricey. I have saved one smaller dropper bottle and keep refilling it from the larger bottle. I live where there is a Vitamin Cottage which has stuff at a much cheaper rate. Don't know if you are near one (Western US)

So, like, what the heaven did you eat - espeically green - when you left out kale and collard and spinach and parseley and, oh no, walnuts. Seriously what was left that was green or proteinacious? Thanks a lot! LOve, PG who's whole diet apparently is goitregenic....yoiks

My grapefruit and greens makes my body feel better than almost any other combo. Bottom line, Raw Guy - experiment. Pay attention to your instinct - pay attention to your instinct about what others tell you. Try something, then observe - I keep a written log from time to time of what I eat and how it makes me feel about forty minutes to an hour afterward. Then you will know for yourself and will n

The simplest thing in the world. Tasty, cleansing, and has never left me feeling sugar spaced. I like to start the day with it when I'm doing fruit. IN your Vitamix plop I pink grapefruit 2 leaves of kale a big ol' handful of spinach I like to add some drops of stevia (I use NOW Company brand - but that's me) Some parseley - a small handfull Blend that puppy and enjoy. My favorite c

I have been pondering what you have been offering by way of a strong conviction in high fruit....and squaring it with my experience. I feel you have a point. I don't think that tremendously high fat works well over the long haul. I know my own body doesn't handle it well. These are just thoughts, musings....but I'm thinking that for some of us, step one may need to be a lower fruit, lower myc

Twice in my life I determined it - first - in the early eighties when I worked with Dr. Kelley's program. There was a HUGE questionaire - hundred and hundreds of questions, along with blood and urine tests. Results - over alkaline system. Then a year and half ago I worked with a metabolic counselor. q whole battery of tests, glucose challenge, blood pressure before during and after challenge,

I don't know what any one should do. All I can do is share what I know and my own experience. I TOTALLY GET the frustration of there not being a single accurate rule book for each one of us. Raw Guy....I recognize my self of a few years ago in you. I sense this panic about survival that is causing you to be vulnerable to being tossed pillar to post between many differing opinions. Grapefruits are friendly to doughboys and girls too. But not oranges. And Bananas are terrible. Brocolli and caulflower are lovely, however. By the way, this isn't just theory for me. This is my living experience.

If you tend to be over-alkaline emphasize these fruits if you have a penchant for fruits: plums, occassional apples, cherries, blueberries. The delicious tropical fruits are not friendly to you. And watermelon, in face any kind of melon, and pineapple are your internal terrorists. As far as veeggies go - the greener, the better - kale, spinach, shrooms, winter squashes (now who wants to eat

A clue as to your acid-alkaline predilection: Those people who have really tight, wirey, muscley, yangy bodies are on the acid end of things. Those of us who are bascially more Pillsbury doughboyish and doughgirlish - we tend more toward the alkaline end of things. Again. one size never fits all.

Expanding on what I wrote in Jackie's post below. This comes from Dr. William Kelley - who began to heal people, after healing himself, and, naturally, was run out of the country by the AMA, and almost destroyed. People with overalkaline systems, vs, over acid, tend to get different diseases. Those who tend toward's acid systems tend to get bacterial infections, cancers, and one kind of ar

For years I believed that everyone needed to alkalinize. So I alked like an obsessed fiend. Then in the early 80's I got tested - blood and a couple of other markers. My system was too alkaline. That was part of the reason I was so weak. This is why a very high fruit diet isn't good for me. Although several researchers spoke of this, I never found mention of it in the raw community until I read G

you get yourself to a bookstore and read the first 36 pages of Gabriel Cousens Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine. He addresses fungal infections, as well as virus etc in a very cogent way, to my view, and to my personal experience. He adds an important piece to the puzzle I had not found elsewhere in any of the raw guru's - from Natural Hygeine on down the line. Only 36 pages. Might be useful PG

with cold sores on lips....I know this sounds counter intuitive - cleansing, fruit juice fasts and such have always made the cold sores worse in my experience. I've personally not found them a result of toxicity -probably more related to systemic weakness - too little of soemthing - rather than too many toxins. Too little red blood cells, for examiple. After 7 years raw, they neer healed. Go figu
