sounds like you are eating the raw equivalent of cooked junk, no offence! just because it's uncooked doesn't make it fat free, guaranteed lose weight food. It can be hard to lose weight if you are addicted to food = no matter what the food you consume is. Learn to relax around food. Savour each mouthful and really chew and appreciate what you are eating. Eat simply. Mono meals - or meals

I'm a British female who is loving eating lots of fruit - every day! Not a problem - just a joy. I think you are in a position to help people, and spread positive messages about lifestyle changes that we all need to take. Life and health is not just about food - it is about attidude and loads of other factors like air quality, exercise, social bonding - soo many things that food plays one rol

I think it is purely natural for the body to detox in any method it can - when riding the crimson wave, then the body certainly knows how to take advantage of this! One time I cleaned my bedroom using a chemical product, and I got very ill after using it. in the following days I got my period - it lasted a long time and was heavy and different to usual - I really felt like i was detoxing throu

I really don't believe that citrus fruits erode teeth. Citrus fruits alkalise the body - meaning saliva becomes less acid and therefor won't erode tooth enamel. And because eating a lot of citrus fruits should cause the body to become alkaline - this means that the ph of the mouth is perfect for reenamilization to occur. We are designed to eat fruit, so if we aren't true to our original di

when I wake up I feel HUNGRY! but this goes real soon - when I work out or something, It's stronger after I've only eaten a light dinner. True hunger for me is feeling very weak, shivery knees. But that's just low blood sugar I guess. Also - I feel hungry effects when I look around and things aren't that sharp and a bit dizzy like. It's more than just my belly being empty - it's like my

I agree - intuitive eating is much more reassuring, confidence building and fun than worrying about the body getting all it's calcium, protein blah blah blah. Eat like a monkey and be happy!

I think that exercise really helps, especially running or jumping on a rebounder. Other than that I would highly recommend a BULK of fruit. The colon doesn't really squeeze the waster through, waste passes through when there is weight on top of it/ a mass pushing it through. So if you are going to eat fruit (and do - it's the best thing you could do) - then eat plenty to start with. I f

It's all just labels - because we are all individual, yet we are all human. The longer I've been raw the more I've moved towards a more fruity diet. I eat greens and veg too (at this point in my life). If someone asks me what I am - then that is a good question because I have no idea - just a being I suppose!

Watermelon is exactly what I'm craving right now, especially after having a really good one yesterday - following two duds. Mmmm I'm actually planning on how to get more watermelon right now. Mm mm mmmm!!!! Good for the biceps? That's very interesting, because the day or eating the afore mentioned lush watermelon - I carried a heavy one year old for most of the day and felt my arms twitchin

what helped in reducing my anxiety is being mindful and meditation. Learning to be with any emotion and realise that thoughts are just thoughts and are not real and solid beings that must make us sway and listen to them. they are just part of the mind and there is a part of me that can choose to feel them or not. so yeah, being mindful really helps. And raw food! If I have sugar or wheat in

I don't watch adverts any more, don't buy magazines. Don't watch much telly - and certainly nothing violent anymore. I think it's dangerous to be around such a violence, even in a movie. I don't think it fosters compassion and

Thanks so much for posting this topic! As a child I was always barefoot - and recently I've always been shod. So I've been taking my shoes off more now, and all of a sudden I feel young again and connected to the world. I actually want to go outside more and feel the textures that the world has to offer me through my soles. My feet are quite strong despite having worn shoes for most of m

I have been about 4 months with no shampoo or conditioner or hair products. My hair is long and thick and curly, and I love not using shampoo. It does require more washes a week and i have to stand under the water for a bit longer than usual, but it doesn't bother me as much as I'd thought.

do you floss? Flossing is important : ) I don't do it enough and my teeth suffer when I don't. Flossing gets rid of food that can gather and get stinky.

thanks guys : ) My other piggy Mabel I hope my garden is productive this year! But I don't think I will have great success with my fruit trees in the future because the climate is too mild here : ) suits me fine, not so good for bursting with flavour fruit!

I don't use anything! It was hard to begin with - just washing my hair with water, but I'm getting used to it now. I learnt that water is heavier than oil, so water SHOULD wash through the grease on your hair and disperse it throught out your locks giving you a shiny head of hair - also the dirt particles in the grease get budged and wash out of your hair too. Here is a picture of me being sur

I'd like to say that I'd be certain I would eat just raw food - but it all depends on my mind set in those last months! Sometimes I feel like eating cooked food, and I do - then sometimes I feel cooked food is nothing. At this moment in time, I have been eating cooked food - but now I have had enough of it, but I'm in a vulnerable state. If I had about a year of having good mental strenght th

to be honest - I don't think I've ever tried it raw. Just doesn't look that appealing to me! But I'm sure you can do with it whatever you'd do with any other root veggie - grate it, make it into coleslaw, make thin strips outta it, marinate it, dehydrate it. Experiment : D I'll try some raw this week too.

after a long period (a lifetime) eating cooked foods, your tastebuds and set preferences might not be up for a full raw meal - but then again, maybe YOU are so go for it! I would add loads of fruit and veg in any raw way you can manage. Raw fruit for breakfast, fruit as snacks in the day. A HUUUUUMMMUUNGOUS green salad as a starter followed by a cooked meal, followed by a raw dessert. And

If I were you I would give fat a break first, for at least a month. Try it and see before you omit the fruit. Eat fruit in the day, veg in the evening and see how you feel. for the first week omit all fats, then have avocados in the second week for about 4 days, then some nuts and seeds in the last two weeks of the month. Candidia only exists if there's sugar to feed it - but the sugar only
