I would say switch it around and have blended meals for breakfast and lunch and then maybe fruit juice for dinner. You are likely so hungry at night because you aren't eating enough calories during the day. That's definitely been my experience.

There's nothing wrong with eating dried fruits like raisins as long as they do not form the bulk of your calories. As Utopian Life mentioned, the water has been removed, making dried fruits a refined food. Look to fresh, whole fruit for the majority of your intake instead. Swayze www.fitonraw.com

I think the main difference for me as a major improvement in my sleep which then made my workouts much more fun. I used to get headaches during/after my workouts and run out of breathe easily. That just doesn't happen anymore. Swayze www.fitonraw.com

According to a 1985 WHO report: "There is little evidence that muscular activity increases the need for protein, except for the small amount required for the development of muscles during physical conditioning...In view of the margin of safety in the RDA, no increment is added for work or training" As long as you are consuming enough calories, you are consuming enough protein. Have you tried upping your sweet fruit intake? I have no cravings for complex carbohydrates like rice when I'm eating enough calories from fruit.

I'd say it's definitely more training than eating. You can't gain muscle without actually overloading the muscles (i.e. strength training). You also have to recover (includes rest and eating), but overloading comes first. That said

Wheatgrass Yogi, I was speaking more of pre-modern man. If your life revolves around survival, you aren't going to be too worried about longevity; you're just going to go where the food is!
