I feel drawn to start taking crystal manna. Has anyone here taken this and if so what sort of effect did it have on your mental, emotional or physical well-being? I think it read somewhere that it can help with one's kundalini. I've been strongly pulled to clear kundalini blockages lately, so I have a feeling this is why I'm so drawn to it at the moment.

I took about a tablespoon a day for a few months awhile back. I didn't notice a huge difference other than a bit more creative energy, mental clarity and increased libido. I haven't had a problem with hormonal imbalance in quite awhile, so I can't help you there. The thing that I've discovered about eating high-vibrational foods such as maca is that it will raise your conscious awareness in wh

I'm curious how often you guys take a shower or a bath? Since becoming more natural & raw, I've felt less and less of a need to shower. My own natural oils & smells don't bother me much anymore. In fact, lately I've been feeling like I'm robbing my skin and hair whenever I shower. I don't think I'll ever stop completely...right now I shower every 3 days or so. What are your opinions?

I've found myself at a loss as to what creative, raw snacks I could eat during the day. Now that I'm pregnant, it's become harder and harder to stay 100% raw because I don't care to spend a lot of time making elaborate dishes nor do I care to just eat a piece of fruit or whatever every time I'm hungry for a snack....with the increased hunger, I'm seriously running out of ideas. I'd like some i

I've been drinking at least one green smoothie a day that has several handfuls of spinach in it and I've also recently become pregnant. Are there any issues with consuming large quantities of spinach while pregnant? I've read that oxalates may inhibit calcium and iron absorption as well as possibly creating gastrointestinal problems...spinach is known to contain oxalates. I get plenty of calci

Not sure if I can post this here, but I just had to share it with all of you: This will seriously touch your heart and your soul, and will hopefully make this world more aware of what we're doing to each other and the planet.

"What is good and evil is not mandated from something outside of us, but is a result of our interconnectedness." I deeply resonate with everything you wrote, especially this quote. We are all just ebbs and flows of energy, it feels like...constantly affecting the flow and constantly being affected by the flow. Thank you for posting this :-)

maui_butterfly: I suggest reading "The Shamanic Way of the Bee"...this is a great introduction into learning more about communing with bees on different levels. As far as the antifreeze comment goes, it wasn't meant to be antagonistic but, rather, as something interesting to muse over (hence the smiley face). I just think it's rather humorous that so many of us try so hard to be eth

Humans were created, in my eyes, to learn how to co-exist with all other species on the planet. There is so much anger surrounding the way humans have been treating other animals that it's easy to believe we're a curse or a virus, but I feel it's simply due to forgetting who we truly are. We apart of life here, not separate from it. I feel it would be simply a matter of swinging the pendulum i

It feels to me that at least part of the reason why honey comes up again and again in vegan circles is because some part of us knows that honey is sacred and created for the intent of sharing. This is what my intuition is telling me...there's a lost art of working with bees rather than against them...some beekeepers are aware of this. Many of them ask the bees to share their honey and they also

I have dark, thick hair (half Sicilian) so I've religiously shaved my legs, pits and crotch for years now. However, since becoming more and more connected to nature one day I realized that it simply didn't resonate anymore. That was a couple of months ago. At times I'll look in the mirror at my naked body and think about how gross all that hair looks, but for the most part I appreciate my natu

Whoa, there are a lot of synchroncities between us. Here's one: "Osho said "never compromise for any reason" and that has become my mantra for life. Yes it means that most of the time i'm alone, but i don't see it could be any other way. The path of truth is also the path of aloness (and this is a positive feeling of being by yourself instead of feeling of lonelines which is of

I just want to say congratulations on the pregnancy :-) Having a child is a huge responsibility, but it is definitely well worth it. If your boyfriend is not very supportive of your lifestyle or your desire to have an unassisted birth then just make a firm commitment to your choices and then he'll have to make a decision...either he accepts what you're doing or he goes his own way. If he's sim

My advice is to sleep as much as you can right now. I needed an average of 9 to 11 hours of sleep a night when I was preggo (especially the first trimester) plus often a nap once a day. I know sleeping a lot can be a pain since it takes away from the rest of the day, but it truly is the best thing you can do right now to help your energy levels. Also, get plenty of fresh air and breathe deeply

Hi phantom :-) I only have one child--a son named Quantum who is 12 months old. So, I can't give you too much insight, but I'll see what I can contribute. I had an unassisted birth with him...it felt incredibly natural and healthy (much like eating raw) I posted about it recently on another thread...it's titled "Pregnancy" in case you want to go check it out. I had tried carrot juice before, many years ago. However, it wasn't fresh, it was made by Odwalla. Needless to say, I wanted to spit it out as soon as I tasted it. I just bought a juicer so today I decided to give it a try again. I figured I would have the same reaction, but when I put it in my mouth I was immediately struck by how amazing it tasted!! It was so flavorful, and so "alive&

I've been mostly raw for about 2 months now, and I've found that I still crave cooked foods from time to time. Whenever I give into the craving (it's usually bread or noodles) I feel heavy, sluggish and "blah" afterwards. When does the craving for cooked foods generally go away? If I cut them out completely, how long could I expect the cravings to end? I know it's not an exact s

I guess what I would think about is what the friendships are based on. Were they formed due to common interests? Were they formed due to circumstances (you met at work or school)? If they were formed because you all enjoyed eating at the same restaurants and smoking together then it sounds like it's time to move on. If they were formed because of certain activities you did together then maybe

I gave birth unassisted as well (I have one son who is 12 months old). It was a conscious choice I made early on in the pregnancy. After discovering that the only midwife in our area that was covered by our insurance was 45 minutes away, I looked into other options. I happened upon this website: www.unassistedbirth.com and instantly knew through my intuition that this was what I was meant to d
