So... I'm guessing it is close to 3 hours from the two closest points in Indiana and Wisconsin. If you really are serious about meeting someone, tell them where you are from.

Thanks for the responses. I cut them up and squeeze a full lemon over them. Amazing that something so delicious can reduce your cholesterol !!

Just how good are avocados. I have read that they can reduce LDL cholesterol pretty quickly. I'm interested in any feedback that anyone has.

I was on a juice fast pretty heavy for about 6 weeks. Red Wine tasted foreign, breakfast sausage tasted like a block of salt. Cookies or sweets made me feel sick to my stomach !!

Yes, drinking plenty of water and at times mixing dandelion with carrot juice. Also had shot of wheatgrass every day during that time.

I started drinking Fresh squeezed dandelion juice every day about two weeks ago. Although initially feeling better I am now feeling exhausted. Is it releasing too many toxins into my bloodstream ?? Any comments would help.

Hi, I'm located in North Jersey 59 years of age but still in good physical condition. Any women in my area interested in meeting up. Maybe go for a hike or long walk to introduce ourselves. I live mostly out of the box and enjoy women who are not only fit and healthy but also intelligent and ready for anything. I'm harmless but plenty of fun with the right person. One of my weaknesses is re

Thanks for the responses and I hope to hear more testimonials, good or bad. I have practiced oil pulling pretty regularly for the past eight weeks but it is done in conjunction with improved diet (more raw fruit and veggies and juice). I have noticed some improvement in mental clarity but I'm not sure that I can specifically relate it to the oil pulling. Thanks again for the responses. TR

Does anyone have any info on oil pulling or success stories. Limited info on line. Curious as to whether it works or is a hoax. Supposedly speeds up metabolism and draws harmful bacteria in the form of mucous from our bodies. TR

Hi Denise, Interesting comments. I also find those sluggish days since trying to transition however I also have some very good days where I have high energy and motivation. Look at my thread " Too much to drink" . There are many interesting comments from others there and you may find it helpful. I started my transition during the summer and have had my ups and downs. I'm stic

Brian and Doris, Thanks for the support and advice. This past weekend wasn't the best in terms of raw fooding but it is Monday and I am back on track. I started walking also. Two to three miles at a time. My goal is to run a 5K within the next the next three months. Need to have goals set. As always I appreciate the responses I get on here. It certainly has helped. Terry

Hi, Two days later and lots of fruit and now I am feeling very lethargic and unmotivated. Is it toxins being released that causes this?? Leaving for Toronto for four days. Areal challenge to be on the road and keep up with the raw diet. Terry

Hey, Congrats to Doris!! Some great insight here. I'm leaving right now to buy more bananas. I had a good weekend with lots of fruit and am feeling positive going into the new week. Sunday football and it is 8:30PM and I haven't had a drink all day. Keep writing everyone. I appreciate it!! Terry

Hi, Well, it has been over two months now and haven't been religious enough in my endeavor. Nontheless, I am noticing slight changes. I just returned from Europe and immediately went back to eating fruit and vegetables. within three days I was able to notice improvements. Overall I have noticed that I am more alert and have been getting more accomplished in my workday. I am no longer stre

Hi, I find that if I O.D on fruit and veggies, the next day I have a metallic taste in my mouth. Is this normal detox. When I have the metallic mouth I don't want to eat anything. Input welcomed. Terry

Jennie, Thanks for your response and insights. I think that there is a fine line between addiction and habit. Maybe that is what separates t?he addicts from problem drinkers. Our body talks to us every day; we just need to be listening. I overdosed yesterday and today on mostly fruit and some vegetables and I don't want to speak too soon but at the end of the day I had an abundance of en

Thank you everyone for your continued support. I want to clarify if you will, that I am not your fall down drunk variety however a constant schedule of dining and entertaining clients has begun to take its toll and I am tired of it. It just takes concentration and discipline to break bad habits. I have been very good today with bananas, apples and plums and some zucchini in a little while- Th

Hi, Well it has been three weeks since I first wrote here. Many ups and downs, many distractions. After falling off during the last five days I am eager to get going again. Instead of being disappointed, I'm looking forward instead of back. One problem is that when eating fruit and vegetables, I am never hungry and as a result haven't been eating that much. I am about 6-7 lbs less than wh

Derek, I'm all over the place. Sometimes I feel great but more times than not I feel exhausted. The company I work for is being sold and our careers are up in the air so the stress might be making me more tired than usual. I feel lighter but havent weighed myself. I dont need exact weight numbers for satisfaction. I know when the weight is coming off and it is, little by little. My sl

Hi, A question and an observation for you. Is the darker color of urine especially in the morning indicative of detoxing? Should I be concerned? Also, I have been perspiring much more and it is more of a foul oder. I never perspired much in the past so this concerns me also. I still am eating a lot of fruit such as nectarines, plums, tomatoes and bananas. I'm interested in your responses

Hi, Well, I completed one week with some ups and downs. Went off the diet on friday and part of Saturday and was feeling badly about it but then realized that Rome wasn't built in a day. It's amazing; if you don't stay conscious, you slip right back to your old habits I can't sleep again tonight but instead of a glass of wine I had two plums and a banana. Mt goal for week two is to just do

Hi, Well, it is premature to make real observations, however I am actually having some spasms of lucidity. It is only two day into this but I woke up today feeling much better than normal. I've probably been about 75-80% raw since Monday morning. Many apples, plums and bananas. It seems easier when I dont have to committ to 100%. Also, my vision seems a little better. It is hard but I'm s

To Brian, How long have you been raw and how long before you started to see results. Did you attempt the Lemonade (maple syrup) cleanse? I would be interested in learning more about your situation. How severely was alcohol impacting your life before you started? How old are you?? Not being personal, just trying to compare situations. I wish you the same success that I hope to attain.
