Agree Utopian Life. After eating cooked food my skin and scalp become itchy. My energy levels go down and whats worse, my regularity isnt ,my blood sugars increase which is not good for me as being diagnosed type 2 diabetic is the reason I started raw eating I have been experimenting on how my body reacts to various foods - cooked and uncooked - and raw is much better overall for me.

I would suggest that you research the 'salt flush' - its poison. Some fasting advocates are promoting the idea that the colon flushes may not be neccesary and the the act of fasting actually gives your colon a much needed break. I have done the 10 day cleanse w/o the salt flush and had no issues, a 3 day would not be bad w/o the flush. I am also doing a water fast one day a week, ala the Bragg

Thank You everyone for your responses. I have decided to have fun with this and not get down on myself if I slip - draconian is not for me. My wife and I went to what was for me one of my favorite restuarants for our anniversary. I have been eating raw the better part of only 3 weeks and I couldnt believe how salty the food tasted - The steamed veggies were mushy and the pasta was dead tasting -

Thank You Bryan: Another question if I may. I found this at: "If the idea of soaking your nuts and seeds seems too time-consuming an endeavor for you, don't worry—many nutrients cannot be heated out of foods, like protein, vitamin E, and fiber, which are found in ample quantities inside nuts and seeds of all kinds, both cooked and uncooked." Question: What exactly is lost whe

I'm a newbie to this so please bear with me Can the diet that a raw vegan would adhere to be summarized as such: Do Eat: Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts, and Berries. Do Not Eat: Meats and Fish, Grains, Beans, Potatoes, Dairy, Sugar. I got this list at a Paleo diet site (I moved Meat and Fish to the Do Not Eat list . My thinking is that since the foods are eaten raw and the above 'Do Not Ea
