Hey, My husband and I are contemplating taking a job in spokane starting in January. It's nice to know there are other raw foodists there. Are those your children. I have two small ones too.

Thanks, I'm sure he could if he he had the time. He's so busy and it's left to me to figure out how to feed the family. I bet if I asked, he would sit down with me and come up with some plans. He tells me he likes my cooking better than his but he's wrong. He has started adding more raw into his cooking demonstrations, but they are funded by someone else so we're limited on how much we can ch

Hey, I don't know about this recipe, but I make a great creamy dressing that tastes a lot like blue cheese dressing. It does have a little nutritional yeast in it which isn't raw but has lots of B vitamins. The rest of the recipe is raw and my family loves it. Let me know if you want it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was having a hard time at breakfast this morning, and I said "I don't want to eat this" so my husband said "what do you want to eat?" I couldn't answer because I didn't want to eat the raw food but i didn't really want to eat cooked food either because that means I lose the nice light energetic feeling I have and like, so i didn't eat at all a

At the beginning it was my husband struggling, but now it's me. I was loving the raw food for the first week and a half. Then my husband had to prepare to teach the vegan cooking class he does once a month. He made the most delicious smelling lentil soup and brown rice with herbs that could be smelled all over the house. Then I sat down to my kale and strawberries and it did not look apetizi

Hi, My husband and I are trying to go raw together. I wrote about it on the personal experience forum here if you want to check it out. We are 100% vegan and have 2 100% vegan children. One is 6 years and the other is 18 months. We love animals too but health is our main reason for our diet. We try to be chemical free, but sometimes slip up. My husband bought me a beautiful hand blown glas

My husband and I are on our 12th day of our 30 day all raw trial. I decided we should write our experience. So far we have gone through some struggles of figuring out what to eat. My husband struggled the first week with cravings, but we found he did much better with lots of dark leafy greens and sprouted grains. I also upped his fat intake but i'm nervous that it's too much. He has been wri

When i look at your blog I am wondering if you need to eat more dark leafy greens and at least add a little fat into your diet. That is probably why you are so hungry and having cravings. Also your lack of energy.

Thanks. We actually don't eat in the evening. For years we have been on a two meal plan where we finish our second meal around 3 or 3:30, then don't eat until breakfast. This helps my husband sleep a lot better. Maybe we are just expecting too much. Although we are sleeping later, we both noticed that we have more energy and motivation during the day. I fell like going a little further and

Thanks. I actually have been vegan for 4 years with no coffee, caffiene (even chocolate), and low sugar. I'm used to whole grains and greens, but i'm sure there is still a lot of detoxing to do. how about your sleep, bryan? Are you all raw? do you sleep well?

I read a lot of different views on here about the 8/1/1/ diet, but it sounds good to me. Can someone tell me the details? I have the idea down, I think, but what does it look like in reality? What would a day or a few days look like eating this diet?

Thanks. We do eat a lot of dark leafy green, and I noticed my husband was more satisfied after a meal with lots of them. We always eat them first He likes them a lot too. Kale is one of our favorites also. I think he was looking for calories still afterward. He is used to taking in a lot of food. I'm concerned now though because I upped our fat intake because he seems more satisfied. I do

Sorry i'm so full of questions but i'm learning a lot through this forum. We heard about people eating raw feeling more energy and needing less sleep, but we have been feeling the opposite. We are in our second week of doing totally raw so maybe we are still detoxing, but both myself and my husband can't seem to wake up in the morning. We feel a lot of energy throughout the day, but when our u

Thank you guys, i'm finding that in the past few days he hasn't felt the need to eat so much, and i'm learning how to shop. I can't shop every day because I have small kids, but I realized I need to shop more often. It's a little harder when you're feeding a family. Thank you.

My husband looked searched out the answer and concluded that they were the same frozen as not frozen. I don't know where he got his answer but thats what he said.

Hey, My husband and I have commited to eating raw for a month to try it, and it's going well except that my husband consumes a lot of food. He doesn't feel satisfied after a raw meal like I am. I tell him to eat until he is satisfied so that he doesn't crave cooked foods but the whole time i'm thinking about the cost of all the organic food he is consuming. We also like to make nut milks to e

Does anybody know anything about whether or not it is healthy to put children on a totally raw diet. I am mostly concerned about calories since they need so many for growing. I haven't seen much out there about it. I'm also wondering what other concerns I should pay attention to.

Thank you everybody for answering. I'm still confused about what constitutes a well balanced diet for a child. I laughed to my husband about your responses because it sounds so funny "just feed them fruit". I'm still struggling with the idea that the main part of each meal is fruits and vegetables. I'm doing better though, and I made a great all raw breakfast and lunch today that eve

Hi, my husband and I have been looking into raw food. We did almost completely raw for 2 weeks and I did not want to stop, however, we ran into a few problems. I was already experiencing benefits, but at the same time I began losing a lot of hair (not noticeable on my head but on my pillow and in the shower) which only happened to me in the past when I was pregnant. Also, I struggled with feed
