Hey everyone! Raw pasta dishes look so beautiful don't they? Unfortunately I haven't found many recipes I've liked. So far, I have a Mac n cheese, Alfredo, Pad thai and avocado-tomato sauce I've liked. Any suggestions? Asian noodle dishes are love <3

Thank you for the responses. I may have to experiment and try those recipes. I do lift weights several days a week so that might be helpful. I've never sprouted before. What's the best way to do that? Fresh, you think around 1200c is enough for a day? I lift weights and some mild cardio. I want to have enough energy to not feel sluggish. I normally feel alright but a few days ago, I had a

Hey everyone, I desperately need some tips on getting enough calories on a raw diet as I am trying to heal some health problems.. I have a hard time eating more than 1200 cals in a day on raw and usually feel stuffed around 400-500 cals in a fresh fruit meal. I'm a female in my early 20s, 5"1 in height. I lift weights and cardio 3+ times a week. Any help would really be appreciated

I have not had any dental problems as of yet.. But I have noticed my teeth have gotten whiter in areas and I am concerned about demineralization/lost enamel. I am looking for information to help rebuild enamel and re mineralization of the teeth. I don't have the money to afford a cavity if I was to get one so I'm really looking to prevent this.. I was thinking of removing acid fruits

I've been seeing all of these long term raw fooders on youtube going back to cooked food.. And honestly, it baffles me. Does anyone else here have negative effects from eating cooked foods? Or is it just me? I don't see anyone talking about this. I'm surprised none of these people have any bad reactions. I get from eating cooked food.. dry skin hot flashes burning, sore throat Str

Hello! So I've been curious about this topic and was looking for some suggestions that have worked for other people. I've personally had no dental issues thus far. I eat a high fruit diet so I'm looking to keep it that way. I know greens are great for teeth. I swish with coconut oil and was considering swishing with powdered calcium as well. Would this help with remineralizing? I

Regardless of how he is as a person, I personally feel that arguing amongst vegan "leaders" makes all of them look less credible to outsiders. This is exactly the kind of behavior the meat and dairy industries take advantage of. People who are new/not familiar with these concepts can easily be turned off of the lifestyle by such behavior. I feel the real arguments should

Recently posted on March 2,2015 Click Here What do you guys think? Regardless of your personal opinions on what a raw diet should look like, he is a major contributor to bringing people to raw foods. I believe this is harmful in bringing new people in to veganism in general and will deter people away from trying raw foods. They do kind of make cooked food sound superior here..

I hope that's the case! But unfortunately, I don't feel the world will become that way until we hit environmental disaster from depletion of everything. I've read several things where scientists estimate the gov will make vegetarianism the law by 2050 because of the environment. Guess we will see! New Zealand is beautiful. That's where the hobbit homes are from Lord of the Rings c:

A kangaroo is not a human. Nutrition needs are totally different. cx I think most vegetarian animals like salt.. Pretty sure it's a biological instinct to seek it out for a number of reasons. Not sure on the garlic thing. I've grown garlic outside before and never had any animals eat it. Many animals don't like the smell.

I should have been more specific in my above response. I meant, taste buds like that of natural meat eaters. They are predominantly made to seek out protein. We are not made to predominantly seek out proteins. Click here "Genetic analyses revealed that both sweet and umami (savory) taste receptor genes are dysfunctional in these animals." Not sure the above proves much. All

Simplicity is straight forward. When I see a human tongue with amino acid taste buds, then I will believe that high protein diets are ideal. SueZ Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > Your "biology lesson" is extremely outdated, > simplistic, and ... nevermind.

I wouldn't say fruit causes "weak digestion". I would say other foods cause "poor digestion". The body always knows what is best for itself. Part of the concept is eating foods that can be rubbed in to the skin and absorbed. The food would act similarly during digestion. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Ketosis is a medical condition that is well established in medical literature. You can even type "ketosis " in to google search and one of the first suggestions that pops up is "Ketosis hair loss" Some basic biology: Humans are relatively inefficient at processing proteins and fats as a majority of our enzymes are for carbohydrate. There are no taste buds for a

> The "optimal" transit time is supposed to be 18-24 hours for cooked food eaters, but if you are eating lots of raw food, fiber, fruit, monomeals, etc then it could be considerably less. I believe I read somewhere for raw food that digestive time is 10-12 hours but feel free to fact check me on that. For me at least, cooked starches digested quickest. Not sure that was necess

If you struggle with weight with the fruit, I recommend focusing more on water rich fruits instead of denser fruits and stay away from dried fruits. Have a big salad for dinner during the day or a bowl of zucchini noodles. Veggies are naturally low cal but very filling so experiment and see if some veggie meals/snacks help with the weight. I used to eat a ton too but over time, my body ha
