My wife, daughter and I are headed to Hawaii for a month. I thought maybe some of you have experience with the islands and could give us some tips. The plan is that while there, my wife will be taking an on-line course for 6 hrs. a day and I'll be playing with my 2 and 1/2 yr. old daughter. A general prioritized list of desires follows... walk to a child friendly beach access to the best f

I hold Frederic in high regards. He is a sincere person in my judgement. I spent 6 weeks fasting and refeeding with him in Costa Rica under the guidance of Doug Graham. I can relate to him more than alot of the older leaders in the raw movement and I think it is special that he has shared his complete journey since it began. I say, read with confidence ) DannyMacK

Hi na(raw)dia! Yes, Audrey craves fruits just about whenever she's hungry. If it's sweet enough, she loves it. But fruit is almost always second fiddle to Mama's milk. DannyMacK

Hi Uma, Mid February is one of the best times for fruit in CR! The mangos should be good and should be everywhere. For abundance, I recommend the Alajuela Farmers Market. If you are flying into San Jose, you will only be minutes from Alajuela. The market is only on Friday evenings (not sure what times) and Saturdays (5:30am to 2:00pm). We usually make it on our way in and/or out of the co

Hi Lainecole, Let me share a couple of resources with you. This is a link to Storm and Jinjee's website. They have 5 children, several of whom have been raw since birth. They also have ebooks and videos worth taking a look at. This is a link to a forum moderated by Doug Graham who recently had a baby girl, Faye, who is 17 months. His wife Roz is also a raw fooder and a good resou

Hi Lainecole, I have a 14 month daughter who started taking some solids right around 9 months. She still gets plenty of breast milk, and I say so just for your information and not because I stand in judgement of you for using formula ) I have truly been amazed at how well Audrey has taken to any fresh raw fruit (and many vegetables) we give her. Just yesterday I picked a fresh tomatoe the

Hi Danny, There is an incredible farmer's market on the weekends in Alejuela which is likely where you are flying into. Imagine a covered football field full of booths of farmers selling all sorts of fresh tropical fruits and vegetables, many that you've likely never tasted. Last time I was there - a couple years ago, it was on Saturdays, though it may have changed by now, so ask the locals

I stumbled upon this creation over the weekend and it was so good I had to share. Don't let the name fool you, use RIPE bananas ) In a large bowl combine 2-3 sliced bananas, a handful of chopped dates, and half a head of chopped iceberg lettuce. Blend a small head of green leaf lettuce with 6-10 more bananas and pour over other ingredients. Stir and enjoy your green banana stew. It's sweet

Hi Jane. I agree with Rosemary. Absolutely get started no matter how small of a step you take, the important thing is to take it. You will likely be waiting A LONG TIME for motivation to appear if you don't. Take a tiny step and think of it as an invitation to motivation. I KNOW you can do it ) DannyMacK

Hi Gracie, My almost 11 month old daughter started taking some solids about a month ago. The foods she has had are mango, banana, tangerine, cantaloupe, fresh apple juice, and a little watermelon. She still gets most of her food from mama's milk. I recommend whole, fresh, ripe, raw fruits as the best place to start. Let them have all they want and don't put any pressure on them. Audrey sh
