Hi Cindy Good post. Nice to read. Remember to keep your chemistry alkaline. A prolonged acidic state can re-stimulate the growth of cancer cells. We all make cancer cells all the time but a healthy body destroys them before they can make trouble for us. Stay well my friend! Dee

Hi there Interesting to see the great response to Gabriel's books. I was lucky enough to spend three weeks at the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Centre, Patagonia, Arizona, about ten years back. Gabriel did a full blood workup, lots of tests, I saw him every day, and he got me onto this path. It took me five years to transition away totally from eating anything that has a mother, so my progre

Hi Francis Interesting post. That is intriguing - your chemistry's response to salt / sodium. How's your potassium intake? Do you find the oedema lessening when you balance sodium out with potassium-rich foods? Dee

Hi there I'm intrigued by your offer to test water. Unfortunately I'm seven leagues across the sea so can't visit :-( In David Wolfe's Sunfood Diet Success System he recommends adding to water you want to purify: quartz crystal, Himalayan Salt Crystal/s, lemon juice, and a blade of grass. Have you by any chance tested this? I am interested to know how it matches up to your testing. Dee

8. Re: pH
Hi pampam I just checked my Nature's First Law (www.rawfood.com) catalogue (October 2006) about the pH testing paper. It's under 21st Century Kitchen Appliances and Other Miscellaneous Products, cost $9.00. It comes in a neat dispenser, with instructions. Hope this is of interest :-) Dee

Hi All Gabriel's book is great, as above. I spent three amazing weeks at the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Centre, Patagonia, Arizona, during the pre-opening phase. Later my husband organised for Gabriel to come and spend time in South Africa sharing his message. So I have a soft spot for ALL Gabriel's work and writings! Dining in the Raw, Rita Romano, is my current favourite. The book I f

10. Re: pH
Hi pampam Thanks for the post. pH: measure of how acid or alkaline a substance is pH scale: measurement for acidity or alkalinity Our bodies produce acid as a by-product of normal metabolism. Bodies burn alkaline to remain alive and since our bodies to not manufacture alkaline we have to get it from outside, otherwise we become acid and die or become diseased. Foods replace the al

Hi All Love this thread! What's the fuss about? We get coconuts all the time in South Africa, keep a hammer and screwdriver in the kitchen drawer, clean around the "eyes" at the top, hammer the screwdriver into two of the the "eyes", drain the milk, use it in a recipe, then whack the coconut with the hammer, split it open, use a sharp knife to cleave the flesh from the

18. pH
Hi All I'm new to the list ... Must share my relief at having at last "got the chemistry right". It's taken about four years of regular urine testing with pH strips to find out what keeps the blood chemistry in the right range. I have at last worked out what my body needs to keep it alkaline, and when and how. Yesterday I was in class and got a bit overwhelmed by a new subje
