Thank you - I just found it. (For some reason, searching was only turning up personals ...)

tattoos?
Not wanting to start a debate, just wondering about your opinions. I began getting tats before going raw, and do plan to continue ... although to be honest, I'm not 100% convinced that putting something foreign into my body is in my very best interest. Still - I do like body art.
Your thoughts?

Thanks to the link for The Date People! Looks like they don't have online ordering, so I'll give them a call. Do you recall if shipping was reasonable from them?
Oh, and nooooo to the veg dating services! LOL! I'm not so sure my hubby would appreciate that! ;-)

Does anyone have a good source for ordering fresh, organic dates (preferably Medjool)? They're a bit hard to get where I live, so I'm looking into ordering several pounds. Thanks in advance for any input!

Good point about Craigslist! I'll have to keep checking there to see if anything turns up.

Hi Natalie! I'm a fellow Texan - I live in Fort Worth. I've done 100% raw myself too, but at the time had a very unsupportive partner, so I didn't stick with it. Now my new partner is the one who wanted us to try this, and I was ready. I too am tired of being heavier than I should be, tired of eating pure junk, tired of overdrinking and partying and just generally wearing myself out needlessl

Thanks so much for the input! I'm probably going to buy one, but will wait a bit before doing so. (I ordered a Saladacco yesterday instead ... I can handle the price of something like that much better! ;-))

If something is really, really not pleasant-tasting to me, I won't eat it. If it's something that's merely "different", however, I do try to retrain my palate somewhat. For instance, last night my husband made a green smoothie using collard greens and mango. A strange combination, to be sure. When he first took the lid off the blender, I took a whiff and the smell was horrid. But I

And if so, how often do you use it? Are you happy that you bought one?
I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to invest in one. I do still crave crackers and breads (though I'm not eating them!), and thought that making raw versions thru dehydrating would be a help, but ... these appliances aren't exactly inexpensive.

Well said, anna_elle.
Money is neither good nor bad ... it's simply a tool -- a means of trade.
However, the old adage, "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil" is quite true.

I'm so glad you guys mentioned raw corn! We went to the farmer's market a few days ago, and I had completely forgotten that I'd bought corn! Must have it in my lunchtime salad today! I agree that raw corn is much tastier than cooked, and strangely enough - easier for me to digest!

I love, love, love my green tea! And yes, I too will continue to drink it, because - when I think about the multiple cups of coffee I used to consume (I thought I HAD to have it to get me going in the morning -- not so true after eating raw for a few weeks!), I'm not about to feel guilty and deprive myself of something as good as green tea.
Enjoy!

My first post here ... I hope this won't be considered spamming, because it's not! I just wanted to share what I did yesterday.
I ordered ten pounds (yikes!) of raw almonds from D&S Ranches in Selma, California. Shipping was free, so I figure I got a good deal! There's a blurb on their site about how they have never (and will NOT) pasteurize their almonds ... something about them being
