Thanks you guys! I never thought of it that way jgunn... Hmmm, but to be honest I haven't done any salt water flushes and I do cut the maple syrup in half. It hopefully helps, right? Well, today is my last day of two weeks! I feel good but not as great as I was hoping for. Part of that Im blaming on work because Ive been out to sea on an 87 cutter since monday morning till 9pm last night.

Hmmmm... Yeah I've been kinda slacking on the saltwater flush myself. Thanks for all the info, will check out the master cleanse forum for sure! Well, so far so good. I have mild problem skin and at first it started to get worse wich I figured was the detox but as far as that its not to much clearer, about the same. Yesterday and today I have been very emotional and wanting to be by myse

Im on day 9 on my cleanse with a goal of two weeks (the longest I've done is 10days). Each time I do it, it just keeps on getting easier and easier I was wondering how long do others do this type of 'fast' for and what they are looking at getting out of it and what they do get out of it. I'd like to compare notes as to no one I know would ever dare to even do a day water fast, silly people.

So I have the worst luck picking out watermelons... The last one I grabbed was a nice bright dark green with a yellow belly and had that hollow sound when 'nocked' upon. But, when I cut it open it was the palest pink! No smell or flavor so im guessing very under-ripe What should/can I do with it? Its been cut open so can I leave it on the counter to ripen more is that not a good idea?? And

Hahahahaha! And it was Thats about what breakfast looks like and lunch too. Though now I think I might try out mono meals... Okay, since I did the cooked food binge there were a few things that stood out to me. #1: That it was supper heavy and just sat in my stomach and I couldn't eat all that I had wanted/hankered for. #2: My tummy was bloated, crampy, and I had bad gas...

Hmmm I dont think I have ever had muesli. Im guessing its a grain? The pizza really was not too bad, no cheese, extra veggies and thin crust (the thin crust at dominos is vegan). The crust was actually cracker thin and the veggies were layered thicker than the crust! I was surprised. Pizza is the one thing that I ever get an hankering for, more the chocolate or... well yeah, more than all

Yes, thats true. Part of it is seeing how I feel and how my body reacts, learning from it and finding out why Ive done it. I wont learn anything about myself if I dont experience the bad & ugly. Also It reenforces how good I feel raw! Dont worry, Im not eating candy or meat or junk food. I cant even remember the last time I had soda... So far all I have had today is tea, watermelon with

So I only eat cooked foods about twice a week. Some roasted nuts here or a vegan patty there in a lettuce wrap or tortilla and maybe a cup of coffee. The thing is last night and I mean late last night I just couldn't stop stuffing myself. I had pizza, popped popcorn, and at midnight finished of my package of patties! I dont know how I did it but I did. I was planning on fasting today To let

I eat low fat raw vegan about 90% now with some cooked foods here and there, but when I haven't had any cooked foods (lets say for 5-9 days) my mental happiness is overwhelming, nothing can get me down! It's such a wonderful and empowering feeling. Wish you the best luck on your journey

So I love salsa but have never liked tomatoes... Making raw salsa is all about tomatoes, ick. So I decided to make some using sundried tomatoes and it is de-lish! I only made a small amount as a tester but here it is: 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes diced 2 cloves garlic minced a pinch of minced red onion (about a teaspoon) 1/4 minced jalapino (less if you want it mild) pinch of cumin pinch o

Hey eecho, guess what? Im in the Coast Guard! Yep, I have the advantage of being the cook, making the menu and purchasing all the food so I have an upper hand when it comes to being 100% raw vegan. You should have no trouble being vegan, Im on my forth year. All I can say is be prepared for a lot of people trying to force meat on you, sadly there has been at least one guy whos first words ar

Hey just checking in. We pulled back into port today and are going back out tomorrow till sunday? But....! Today is day four 100% raw! yesssss My comment about the salsa and quac is because I purchase premade ones for the crew. We have very little space for fresh produce and I don't mind waiting till I get home to make my own. Its just the easy access to the ones for the guys thats temp

I was wondering what most raw foodist thought about drinking alcohol. I have recently decided to give it up and I guess I can now be called 'strait edge'. Its one of those things that just feels right and I have no desire to drink, at all. Its quite nice. But I have seen somewhere that there are raw adult beverages. Do you drink? Or is it one of those sad addictions that you flush down the
