Oh boy, I have several friends who are sure that they are Hiv positive. So, what kind of reaction am I likely to get if I tell them the following: Just set down the hamburger and white bread, and start eating raw vegan foods, and they will be fine. I am sure they would never talk to me again. It seems like it would be great news, but more than likely I think they would think I was telling them a

That is really weird. If germ theory is wrong, and contagion is wrong, there should be zero chance of contracting AIDS from any possible way.

The vegans in this study were consuming soy products, which are high in purines. I just glanced through the article, I don't recall if it gave amounts. Perhaps this problem came from vegans trying to make their diet have the amount of protein as people who consume animal products? Everyone I have personally met that had a gout problem seems to be people who eat animal products. I don't know e

You can do it, it is done and in the process of becoming. What this is beautiful. It is. Acceptance is key, feel your centers opening. Blossoms fall only from mature trees, to bring forth fruit to your satisfaction. You plant the seeds in return. Sun, moon, seasons, water oceans, salt come together in one moment.

intrstelr, Thats something to keep in mind. I think there is a logical fallacy in there somewhere, I don't know what its formal name is called. But it has something to do with looking for the result to confirm what is already believed. Also knowing what the result 'should be' before hand. I am sure that someone advocating animal products could claim vegans are doing the same thing. So...is t

I work with someone that told me she used to be vegan, but that her weight was too low. She was told (I dont know from who) that she wasn't getting enough nutrients. I asked what in particular and she just said nutrients in general. The contradiction is that she is now eating meat, and she actually lost weight!!! Exactly what she didn't want. She also complained that she was going broke purchasin

Fresh, That sounds correct. I read a book on composting years ago, and it mentioned the variability of nutrients in food. The book gave even more drastic examples. Some nutrients varied by as much as 1,000 times. I don't remember which mineral or nutrient, but most likely its a trace mineral.

I'm not sure I really understand. If germ theory is wrong, then there should be no reason to wash fruits or vegetables. No plant should ever get a disease, at least not from a virus, fungus or bacteria. There is a possibility of the plant missing one or more minerals/ What about hand washing? People having surgery shouldn't need sterile surroundings, unless of course they have less than idea

There was another social at work today. However, today someone scooped out and ate only the corn in a meat soup!!! She said she wanted to eat more like me. I wouldnt eat corn cooked in a meat soup, but for her that was vegetarian. I think part of starting to be vegetarian is to think vegetarian. I hope she benefits from that.

I haven't tried that, but I have fed dead sea salt and trace minerals to a melon. That had fantastic flavor and scent, unfortunately I haven't tasted a melon like it sense. I also did the same for a tomato plant with the same results, I have not encountered a tomato like it since.

B who, The topic just came up a few weeks after I started working there. My manager set up a spontaneous picnic and asked if I had a few dollars to chip in and get some hot dogs, chips and soda etc... I told him I dont eat meat, and can't eat potato chips. Of course that was something which drew attention. I really hate that it draws attention. Usually is expressed like I am doing something inhe

107. Zinger
I can't believe it, today someone at work delivered a zinger. Normally she is so kind and helpful, but today I felt like a target of frustration. It had to also be about diet also. I just hate that. She suggested that I need a bone density test because I don't consume dairy, and 'only eat banannas'. Its what I eat at work for convenience, just peel and eat. They dont have any idea about what I ea

Thank you Pachito, I also recently heard someone at work say, "where do you get your protein". I dont know how many times I have heard that. I just sighed and turned and looked the other way more or less.

Gooey and gloopy? I am not sure what anyone is eating, I just taste a really great vegetable. I started a second plant from a small cutting from the first. I think this plant is the greatest. I hope to have several containers of the plant growing soon.

I can't believe it, my partner just sent me an email about the most fattening foods. All the items are vegan! The article actually compared the amount of sugar in grapes to the amount of sugar in oreos!!! I just don't get it, not at all. I have never had any problem with grapes, but I do with processed foods. What is wrong with these people? Another one was hummus. Its a cooked food product,

I am growing in on my window. I started it from seed. I am afraid to eat any old plant because the ground around where I live is likely to be polluted.

I just bought some melons, one was so disappointing. Hard and not very sweet. I just imagined that it was a carrot to eat it. 1/2 of it is on the table with some plastic wrap, hoping it will soften and sweeten somewhat. Cursed be the commercial produce! Its so hit and miss. I don't have any garden space to grow my own fruit. How does the raw foodist provide themselves with a consistent supply of

Banana Who, That sounds great. I used to mix coco powder with avocado to make little coco balls, or used soaked raw walnuts. they turned out great. There is a recipe for vegan coco pudding using tofu, coco power and date sugar. (ground dates) I know its not raw, but I thought it sounded good. Light years healthier than standard chocolate pudding, but I am sure that anything raw has got to be bet

I noticed a big improvement in vision. I compare this to cleaning a window, like removing all the dust. While that has improved, I still wear glasses, so the distance vision hasn't improved. Something has changed and I like it. I am not sure what did that, but maybe I don't need to know everything. Just accept that the vision has improved. My blood lipids are down, sugar down. But I didn't r

I was going to say that raw coco nibs make me sick, but I didn't want to be negative. I think I am doing pretty good maintaining a vegan diet in a town where nearly 100% of the residents eat meat and or dairy in every single meal. Maybe raw chocolate isn't really raw, or healthy. But I don't object to anyone eating it if they think they really need or want it. Just don't get the dairy filled, whi
